    This sux

Well.... the family is close for Christmas just like the old days. Keep looking for the blessings, I'm glad you are all safe.
  6. I've run my H/F trailer 80+ with no problems, just be sure to clean and repack the wheel bearing with good grease. And there's hundreds if not thousands on the road.
  7. Oh !!! And I stopped into Elderlys in Lansing MI and picked up a set of John Pierce bronze bridge pins, She sings a little louder now !!!!!!!
  8. I keep at it, people say I'm getting better but i'm not convinced yet. I think I need to buy one of those field recorders ( new toy ) so I can hear how I sound. I'm looking ay the Sony pcm-m10.
  9. I built the Harbor Freight with the 12" wheels using the forum that Carbon One posted for most of my ideas and only spent around $500 to do it. A great winter project as well.
  10. I may be a bit partial, BUY IT !!!!!!!!!! Bad news is , I'm sure it's out of warranty. Great bike if the price is right, however the one problem you might have is the fuel may have gotten stale at some point but if it runs a few cans of Seafoam could clean it out. Not sure want you are refering to as a good price but 12K on the clock is not even broke in.
  11. That 99.9 is the teaser !!!!!!! Sounds like its a good fix just DON"T do any thing for a few weeks or you will be changing that score, enjoy your time, get a few things done that you put off and you will be running with the big dogs in no time.
  12. We were at my sister-in-laws a few years back and there lab brought one home still in the plastic ! some one some where didn't get turkey we just didn't know who ? Had a real good laugh though:crackup:
  13. Is this a Canadian political thread............. I'm telling:crying:
  14. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours and the whole V/R Family
  15. Been there done that ! Just listen to what the Doc said and don't do like I did, get feeling kind of spunky and go out and get adventurous before things are healed. Lay low for a few weeks before you do anything, trust me on this one !!!!!!!!!
  16. Charlie, Happy Birthday from Leslie and I.
  17. Glenn, I found a Suzuki factory carb sync tool for $20 and a slightly use windshield for $50 and a couple of Yamaha T-shirts some decals and a quart of gear lube. Things were going fast and some of the things you might think you could almost steal were overpriced IMHO. Hate to see them go, good people. Looks like I'll have to give Ray-C's a try.
  18. OUCH!!!!!!!! Prayers sent, get well soon rideing season is comming up soon!!!!! :sleigh:
  19. Hate to see them go, those guts were like family to me. Mr Martin the father of three of the guys that have worked there let me take a ride on his personal Royal Star that the mechanic had built up with a Pro1 kit and a few other mods, he said give it a good rip and see what she's got, how do you replace that ! Brought the Venture in with a leaky shock, 20 mins on the road with a new one. I also bought my first Royal Star from them. I wont go to Great Lakes - AKA " Great Mistakes", Ray C's is going to get my money. The 80 mile round trip was nothing to get treated that good, I wish them the best with what ever they decide to do.
  20. I run mine as it was designed to operate, on the run position and when it sputters ( most of the time before the light goes on ) I switch to reserve and look for the first gas station. Ran out of gas once when I was a teenager and did not enjoy it a bit. And yes I shut off the fuel when I am not riding and have not had a problem since I was a teenager.
  21. Nice pic, looks like about the same colors we are having here right now !
  22. What he said !!!!!!!
  23. My father and I built a dune buggy when I was about 12 years old, great memories he's gone now but I will never forget. You the MAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. Karl, Thanks for putting the M/E together, I had a great time and its sure to be bigger next year.
  25. Great photo shoot !!!!!!! I don't know how many bikes were there, must have been thousands, but my day was made when the Venture went up against the Harley on the dyno drags and guess who got spanked ???? I think the 2nd gen about 105 mph in the 1/4!!!!!! Thanks for bringing the kids and making a day of it !!!!!!!!
