  2. You can do it yourself in 30 mins. Save $130.
  3. Sorry Randy. Gotta work.
  4. When a law loses the support of the majority of the population a general disregard for the law occurs as in the '20's and '30's with prohibition of alcohol. It gave rise to the organized crime we are still dealing with today. The so called war on drugs has given rise to the drug gangs that are ravaging our cities today. Look at Mexico. 64 murders in one day! I can't believe in this day and age, with everything the baby boomers have done that we are still putting people in jail for a weed! I don't know of one documented case of death by pot overdose. Dozens die every day of acute alcohol poisoning, hundreds from chronic alcoholism. Where is the logic? Some will call pot a gateway drug that leads to harder drugs. That's bs. Most people use alcohol before they ever smoke pot. Alcohol is the gateway drug. We are releasing child molesters and violent criminals for lack of prison space and incarcerating drug offenders. Where is the logic? One of the largest cash crops in the US goes untaxed and unregulated while we drown in debt and family farms go out of business. Where is the logic? Cancer patients, those with terminal disease and chronic severe pain are denied a natural nearly side effect free medicine that could relieve their suffering. Where is the logic? Rant off.
  5. Sorry to hear it. Condolences to the family and friends.
  6. I don't think it should be the gov'ts business what we do in the privacy of our homes as long as we're not hurting anyone else.
  7. I use the full synthetic in the blue bottle. I used Royal Purple for a while but at $7/qt:mo money:
  8. SOTGSOTT Some Of The Gear Some Of The Time:rotf:
  9. The best way to set up a M&E IMO is to just post the time and place about 2 weeks in advance and keep it bumped occasionally, maybe pm some folks that are in the area. Then whoever shows up shows up. If you try to accomodate everyones preferance or day off it turns into a mess. Just post it and they will come.
  10. I can be in Townsend in about 2 hrs via the foothills parkway. I love riding up there!

  13. No I didn't ride today. Thermometer in the truck hit a low of 6 degrees going into work. I don't care who ya are, thats cold.
  14. Lewis, Sorry to hear of your troubles. If it was me I would be contacting your HR person at home. By phone or in person if needed, holiday or no holiday. It's their job to handle these situations. JMO.
  15. Don't know about the glue. Mine did the same thing and I had it replaced under warranty. Those things are pricey. Around $400.
  16. Work shoes with good support and crepe soles. Crepe is a soft white material. A good tennis shoe might be a second choice.
  17. I hope you never have to find out.
  18. Sorry to hear of your troubles. Do what you gotta do. There will be other bikes out there when you get back on your feet. You're in my prayers, hang in there!
  19. On October 30 I was riding home in the rain on the interstate, friday afternoon traffic. The weather man had said "no rain till tonight" but you know how that goes. I was keeping as much following distance as I could in friday afternoon traffic. Suddenly, traffic in front of me was coming to a stop and cars were swerving to avoid an obvious rear ender. I got on the brakes and the bike started to slide sideways as the rear tire locked up. I let off the brakes. I didn't high side since there was no traction for the back tire to grab and throw me off. I tried to steer to the left shoulder since I was in the left lane where I might have some more room to stop. The car in front of me had the same idea and filled up the shoulder and part of the median. I had the choice of the median or the bumper. I chose the median. It gets kind of fuuzzy from there but the bike ended up in the center of the median pointed back the opposite direction and I ended up 10 yards downrange in a mud hole on my back. I walked away but it took about a month to get over the bruising from the waist down. The RSV was totaled. What I would do different would be to try to use more front brake and less back brake but in a panic situation that's tough to do. I have had the back brake lock up before on quick stops on dry pavement before but handled it. On a rain slick highway with new pavement there was no handling it. I hate to tell you folks but the back brakes on the RSVs are accidents waiting to happen. What I DID do diifferent was buy a GoldWing with integrated brakes and ABS. If you don't think ABS makes much difference get on youtube and search for motorcycle ABS. Ride safe!
  20. Good looking bike! Not sure what make those pipes are but if you decide to sell them you should get a good price. Those 4x4's are hard to find and no one makes them anymore to my knowledge. I paid $350 for a set of Jardines this year and I was glad to pay it. It may be hard to find a set of stock mufflers also.
