    Thom, Remove the Radiator cap..... then pull a 2nd Gen under it and replace...problem solved!! LOL Hey, did the tire presure play a role in your handling problem?? I checked my front tire when we got home and it was 10lbs low..... could have contributed to the bad wobble I had... Have a good one, hope you get your chin fixed / replaced... Kreg

    Mick, Welcome to the Family!! You will find some of the best People around on this site, and some very good info and experience as well... ask some questions and post some of the Ideas and things that you have done to your bike or plan too... and rule number one is to post pics!!! Make a few M&E in your area or if you have the time ride to gatherings in other states...it is great to put faces with names... Again, Welcome to the Family!!! Kreg

    Mine was doing the same, sounded like metal to metal... I thought they where wore out, ordered the EBC pads and changed the out, the old pads still had over 50% pad left, but the EBC pads are quiet and work great!!!

    Sorry to hear of the problems with the bike, I will be of little help, but the first gen guys should be waking up in a little bit and should be able to get you some help. I hope its nothing major and you can get back on the road today, you may need to give Squidly or some one a phone call (after the sun comes up) I know they are close to you but he has walked me through alot of things over the phone...     I am sure that others know alot more about these bikes then I do, but I am leaning towards the swing arm, Glad you where nor hurt bad, hope you get it back on the road soon... K

    Thats a good deal if they are in good shape and no rust. I do not have FishTails but have heard some, GaryN has them I think, the F/T`s that I have heard sound great, not sure about high wat speeds, but you can always out run the sound.....

    Here are a few pics of the work that got done on Gunboats ride this last Sat.     Hey!!! Eck operated that " Heavy Equipment" like he was born on it!!! I tried to take over for him to give him a break, and he was having so much fun there was no way he was getting off of that thing.... his nuckles where pretty white though.....

    Good ?? Most I have seen have been blk, you may just have to trace it out, but may be easier to just pick up a temp gage from auto parts and do it that way... I am sure others will chime in.... Looks like a good work horse.. Good luck, sorry I`m not more help. Kreg
