I was teaching Sunday School one Sunday and a brother said to everyone there, I know you love your wife but do you like her. There is a lot of thought in those words. I to was lost for many years, divorced 4 times and that's not bragging, I feel terrible about how I treated GOD'S first institution. Our Father knew we needed a help mate, and lovely gave us ONE. I am blessed to listen to so many replies that they love the LORD. I knew there was a reason for joining this organization, and Free Bird you made it clear to me. We have a awesome GOD, If GOD be for you who could be against you, AMEN. GOD Bless Jim

Hey that's a keeper!! When I came back from overseas and got stationed at Panama City, Fla. the guys use to go up to Alabama and see if they find some scoots in those old barns. These guys would find old 45 meter maid trikes and old knuckle heads just laying in those old barns. The old timers said if a John Deer part would not work on it, well the heck with it. There was just not really any place to get them serviced. They sell them for almost nothing and laugh as those guys would load up them pieces of junk. Well I am glad you found a piece of history, and it ran to boot, awesome. I had a chance to buy a panhead down near Key West one time, it had the original tires on it 1,500.00 bucks. What a dummy I was, hind sight and foresight is worth a lot sometimes. Good Luck and have fun, Jim

Need help...To Trike or not to Trike? That is the question.
blue mtn. jim replied to Aimhigh's topic in Trike & Sidecar Talk
Hello, I have heard a lot about voyager kits. I have put 55,000 miles on a kit and did it myself, I would not allowed anybody to install one on my bike. There are 5 different critical settings that must be on the money, no way can you trust somebody to take all that time to complete those setting right. Your back tire even has a pre height setting, We put one on a 68 year old buddy"s bike and 35,000 care free miles. I can not see putting a 10,000.00 trike kit if my bike is worth less then the trike kit, and you tow a trailer from the middle belly pan instead of one off the rear of a bike. And for some crazy reason you do not like trikes, you can sell the kit, and we usually ride 2 up and pull a trailer. Good luck with your choice, Jim -
Had a blow out on a brand new set of dunlaps last week on the way to Fla. Actually the rear went, glad I brought some extra undies with me. Man I have been riding since I was 15 and I'm 60 now and that scared me to death, I believe I lost some good years there. Running 75 on 95 going south, and I always run the middle lane, just in case I need the room. I tell you the truth I had no idea what the heck was going on,that thing went to dancing side ways. Next time I fill out a form my color be WHITE not caucasian, I was WHITE, my knuckles was WHITE, my eyes was WHITE opened, and if I am not mistaking my urine was WHITE.Praise the LORD I made it to the side of the highway and I don't recall seeing me going across 2 WHITE lines, do you get the idea I was a little scared!!! Okay about the tire, I bought a BFG at Walmart for $72.00, was looking at a Nexen for $49.00 but was out of stock on the 165 size. And you guessed it, it sure as heck was not a WHITE wall. That was a lot of information on where I got a tire, just thought you might want to know. PS. WHITE"S tire and rims was closed. Jim

This is a hard thing to say but it is a fact, I've rode all my life and lived in Fla. for 27yrs. I will also say if the good LORD allows me to live I will be 61 in April. It is a terrible sad thing killing someone for no reason and that is what happens in ares with a lot of older people resided. 99% will tell you, I DID NOT SEE THEM!!!!! And I know that they do not see things and register information as fast as younger people. It is a two sided coin, I could not imagine having to live with killing someone that I had no intention to. There is no winners in this game, just losers in different ways. And let me tell you how many times they would say I did not see you. I ride trying to think what the other person is thinking, are they going to pull out or do they see me. We have the same problem here in SC mountains with people on bicycles the next thing you know it coming around a blind curve is 10 people on bicycles and hit one and you better have some darn good insurance!!!!! So the bottom line is ride with wide eyes and listen to your surroundings, GOD bless Jim

Well you are not going to believe this but about 7 years ago they made a garmin model 360. It sold for 900.00 dollars back then, what ever you can think of it can do! GPS,MP3,E-Book,Bilingual,Bluetooth,SD Card,Phone Book with voice dial, and it will even convert your currency, not to mention handling simultaneous calls. This thing is a diamond that got over looked because of it's price. And I could go on. I bought one 2 weeks ago and will have to go to college to use it, they can be had for 25.00 to whatever. I paid 40.00 for mine, came with a cigarette lighter and suction cup mount. It is way ahead of it's time and I do not know what can touch it now. Hope this helps, Jim

Here is what happens when is snows in the south.
blue mtn. jim replied to DragonRider's topic in Watering Hole
There was no doubt that we were warned but who would have thought that that much would be so far South. I live right at the NC and SC border and we got nailed. But when you look at those cars hitting each other at those speeds on Atlanta I-85, how could not know to slow down!!!! I live in Pumpkin Town, SC and I did grow up in NYC and lived in Fla. for over 27yrs. It snowed in Fla. in 89 and in 77, in 77 there even got snow flakes in the Bahamas!!! I can not believe that nobody had their radios on or tv at their offices? On the bright side hope to make the g&m in Columbia, hope to see you then, jim -
I put 55,000 on a kit that had a car tire. It is a lot safer, and the amount of rubber that meets the road is doubled. I have locked up the rear brakes and never had the rear end swing side ways. It is hard to beat three car tires on the rear of your bike. One thing that is for sure, it will work your arms out because of the lack of rake to the front wheel. Dragon Tail was not for me. I will kit my RSV next year, and I will run a car tire on the rear. DARKSIDE

Heads Up PA riders with Voyager Trike
blue mtn. jim replied to DONATALIE's topic in Trike & Sidecar Talk
I am a disabled vet, and with out that kit I could not ride. I was blessed to ride for four years and got to enjoy the wind in our face that we all crave for. Free to enjoy your life is American as apple pie. My heart goes out to all those that have problems trying to live a normal as possible. You should have seen their faces with my disabled license plate on my bike, not all was pleasant some times. I could never look down at anybody that had some challenges in life, there was only ONE that was perfect and they killed him. GOD bless. -
It is hard to believe that the years have gone by so fast, but it was a young man's game. The T I's had a skill that you did not notice at the time, but to take 50 kids from all parts of the USA and turn them in to fighting machines is amazing. They taught you to give your life for someone you only new for six weeks or so,AND NO MAN LEFT BEHIND. PERIOD. AND MAY GOD BLESS THE USA.

I have been looking at a garmin 360, it has bluetooth and talking directions. I have a mp3 player in my phone, the phone is supposed to cut in at any time and I am using a bluetooth headsets in our helmets. I can get one for $ 100.00 refurbished by Garmin and free updates. As far as waterproof goes, well I will keep it in my jacket pocket and let it talk to me. I am hoping it will be a good thing and affordable. I am open to Ideas !!!! I have a 2005 RSV, take care Jim.

There was a little church out in the woods that was looking for a preacher to preach. They asked this old preacher to preach until the found a pastor. The first time he preached, he preached for 15 minutes. The deacons liked him so much they asked if he would come back next Sunday. Well the preacher preached for 30 minutes, the deacons said we better keep a eye on him but asked him back again. This time he preached for 3 hours, the deacons asked him what happen. The preacher said that he got new dentures and could only preach 15 minutes they hurt, what about this 3 hours deal? Well I am very sorry I must have had my wifes teeth in by mistake.

I must agree, the holiday is for one purpose. The birth of JESUS, it was never a happy holiday when I grew up and it does not make sence calling it a happy holiday. I understand the different views, but when in Rome do what the Romans do! This country needs to get back to it's roots and the roots it started with is what made this country great. As a old Vet this PC crap is not a healthy thing. Where does it stop!!! I suppose if I declared a holiday of dog poop, then you should respect my holiday or of killing worm day. Sounds pretty stupid, but we are not that far away as we where at one time. And to tell you the honest truth this is not the country I served and the truth be told I am sure that 90% of the Vet's would tell you the same thing. It is not a time of year to have a bad attitude, but let us not forget why Christmas is Christmas. GOD BLESS TO ALL AND MERRY CHRISTMAS,JIM
