  1. I could not get it to come up, but I was born to believe in GOD COUNTRY SERVICE and in that order. Jim USAF
  2. It is surprising that it did not matter where you came from, born in NYC moved to long Island in 1959 and the world was at your finger tips. Built the carts, broke my butt, you forgot the first Sting Ray bike with a banana seat and wheelies. My first car was a 1951 Chevy that I got from a old lady that lost her eye sight cut her grass for it and a buddy and I pushed it home. Never got it to run but man what a 8 track and reverb, painted it with house paint and paint brush. If you got in trouble in school they would paddle us and your mother would tan your butt when you got home. How many rookie Micky Mantle baseball cards did we put on bike forks to make it sound cool ! I am afraid that we gave them what we did not have and the result is not as good as we had hope for. They can say what they want about the old days, but the proof is in the pudding. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A BLESSED NEW YEAR
  3. I will say one thing for lowes, they will give a VET a 10% off discount every time. Home depot will only give a discount to service related VET. Now I may not be the sharpest knife in the draw, but I am not a butter knife. Some one tell me please how do you get to be a VET if you where not in the ARMED SERVICES. I also know for a fact that Lowes is involved in the Wounded Warrior Project and Habitat for Humanity and supports local projects in there area. I built Nursing Homes for a living and my hat is off to those who help others. Another small info most of your auto parts stores will give a VET a discount also. I know it is hard sometimes when people have no clue as to what they should know in there dept. GOD BLESS AND HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS, Jim
  4. I will put him on our church prayer list, please keep us posted. Jim.I do not know his last name, but I know GOD does!
  5. Prayer is the most powerful thing a follower of JESUS CHRIST can do, it is NEVER plan B. Give all your thoughts and feelings to HIM. GOD is always in control and all we need to do is follow. If you are a true believer then this place here is the only part of hell we will ever know, satan loves to kick us while we are down. But we have a FATHER that always loves us and will be there for us. Only GOD can make things good from things that are a struggle for us here, HE is working already. Look how much you are thinking of HIM, we have a awesome GOD. GOD bless, your brother in CHRIST Jim

  10. Hey Condor, I have used synthetic oil in everything I own. I always used Mobil One because they where into it way before anybody else jumped on the wagon. All air cooled V twin bikes suffer from heat and brake down of the oil, and the rear cylinda gets the heat from the front one also so it needs all the help it can get. I used that as a example, for my studies I found out that it takes at least 400 degreeses before getting hot, where fossil oil boils at 212 or so. Synthetic oil never really breaks down, it just gets dirty from carbon. I think you would be more then safe if your engine needs 10w 30w, but use synthetic instead. My 2007 Camry used 0w 30w, what in the heck is 0w ? Take care Jim
  11. I seem to remember the guy I see in the mirror, but some way along the line that wild and crazy guy is gone. I hate to have to grow up. because you could get away with a lot because you where to young and now all I have are Senior Moments. As I read some of the posts I think we all are in the same boat of life, but the greatest thing of all is knowing where you are going when the curtain closes. I am very blessed and I thank GOD for it, and I pray that the LORD blesses you and your love ones. From the new guy on the block, Jim DuBois
