  1. After Mrs. GigaWhiskey got her Class M, her trust in my abilities greatly improved. She says that she can see and feel my riding experience. She is fine now with twisties, sweepers and cruising at highway speeds.
  2. Prolly with his eyes closed!
  3. You might need a flat head screwdriver to get to the screw to turn it, I know I have to. Sometimes tap the screwdriver to make it turn. Btw, where in Dallas?
  4. I am speaking about the '85 crossover seat that Rick did for me. Me likee! And the ride to Sanger this weekend proved it again. Didn't notice an ache, pain, twitch or the slightest bit of numbness - shore did before Rick got to it. Also, Mrs. GigaWhiskey had no leg or knee aches as the passenger. She enjoyed the newly modded seat. Thanks a bunch Rick!
  5. I have heard of stories where AutoZone Alternators are not complete compared with what you already have. it is like they are missing something. Is there not a voltage regulator on that?
  6. Cassette adapter and a Shuffle. Cheap, works, works with the intercom system and simple to do. Kinda hard to beat that.
  7. Glad ya stepped on in and do not be a stranger. I this we all enjoyed this thread. Btw, that is my kind a sign!
  8. Interesting concept on using a helmet other than a full face and I can see how it may effect someone. Personally for me, it is a full face helmet or my chrome dome (no helmet). To me, if it is not full face, you ain't wearing a helmet but that is my own personal opinion. Try giving yourself some thing to do as mentioned in one of the previous posts - have camera, take pictures. Intercom system is kewl also. You get to listen to the radio, talk to each other and chat with other riders. Here is a suggestion that I have not seen mentioned yet. Go get your motorcycle license. There are classes that will provide a bike and usually only costs about $180. No, I am not crazy. Mrs. GigaWhiskey was weary with riding on the back and had a few issues. It got better after a few short 1 hour rides to dinner and then improved. Here is the kicker, she got her motorcycle license for my birthday as a surprise (it was between 20 to 30 degrees). She totally enjoyed the course and riding the bike. She is now far more comfortable on the bike with me, enjoys it much more, understands what I do when and where and she has become a far better passenger for me to control in addition to the bike. We are still looking to purchase a bike for her. Btw, she will schedule rides too.
  9. It whistles along too! I dig it!
  10. Btw, TupperJ is the man with the cables. One of the best investments for your 1st gen.
  11. You may need to invest in LED bulbs. You may need to upgrade your battery (example: PC680). You might want to check the charging ability of your alternator. Check and or replace your battery cables. Lower the wattage of the bulbs in your driving lights. Use your ignition in the loop for your lights, so when you turn the key off, they go off too. Just a few suggestions
  12. I was suprised that I could not find one at Pinwall either.
  13. Been there, done that, suffering the consequences! I got some paint bubbles in a couple lines and watch out for those buttons on the radio, they will shoot straight out. Made me jump when they did and I had to by another radio.
  14. There should also be a warning to those that have to see some people in shorts, lol.
  15. blank on my end.
  16. Mine too. I rarely have to use the choke. Cranks right up and idles and then first and then gone.
  17. Man JB, we sure woke you up! lol
  18. To me, I just cannot even see it at such few miles. Hard for me to imagine. But I am not an expert at this so I will bow out. kewl.
  19. I Love history and science (past and future) as I find it quite interesting. Sadly, the future scares the bujeebas out of me and for my kids. If we make it past doomsday (December 21st, 2012 (when the planets line up)) I shore hope NASA can keep that asteroid from hitting us in 2036. I am curious though if anything will change when that happens. It is said that in the next 20 years, we should expect a lifetime of 150 years. And, they have already identified the part of DNA that can stop or slow the aging process. Way too interesting but I'll stop here, I have hijacked the thread, sorry.
  20. Oh well. I never had that issue even without the SuperBrace. I do not know how many miles are on your scoot (wonder if it has rolled over). I hope I only have about 74k on mine. If yours did not roll over, wonder why you would have fork flex.
  21. You sure there is nothing wrong with your front tire? Is there a bump on the side? Have you run your hand around it to be sure?
  22. Got it Scientists are developing techniques aimed at taming the power of the world's most devastating storms. The project, backed by funds from Nasa, would involve seeding clouds, coating seas with biodegradable 'slicks' and even beaming microwave radiation from orbiting power stations to slow or even halt hurricanes. http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=52213
  23. Not me, you are too deep for me to comment and this thread is not as big as the other you had going! The only thing I could say on that other one was the amount of posts and views, lol.
  24. I guess you got that camera fixed!
  25. Y'all are nuts, in a nice way. That is a whole lotta meat. I see one stop Lowell made. Glad y'all had such a good time. I am sure there will be another PIP unless you cannot order a pig for the event, lol.
