I have an 85 trunk that I want to put on my 84. I have the trunk and the bracket that holds it but I'm missing the bar that holds the antenna. Does anyone have one that will fit they'd be willing to part with? I was wondering if the Mk2 would be the same. 84 is shorter so won't reach past the edge of the trunk and is not attached the same way. Wayne

Ok, I am curious how many folks are running the MU90B16 and if any uses the MT90B16? The best I can tell the "MU" is about a half inch wider at most. I alway ran the MU but just wondering if anyone is running the MT.

Clutchless shifting that is. Once I get up to 3rd gear, alot of times I am guilty of shifting to 4th and 5th without the clutch. I let of the gas of course, but does it do any damage. It's pretty smooth. Just wondering if I am the only one?

How often do you need to put air in your shocks? Just wondering the average miles or time. Rod

Does anybody know if the body parts for all 1st Gen. years are interchangeable? Specifically the fairing and side cover pieces. I have an '86 1300 and was wondering if pieces from an 83-85 1200 will fit it? Thanks.

Hi All, New to this forum, but loving it so far. I'm vertically challenged (5' 7") and I'm getting tired of not being able to see over the top of my windshield and going crazy trying to see through it the rain. So, I'm getting ready to buy a new windshield for 07 RSV and was wondering a couple of things. What brand do you recommend? What is the best way to determine the correct size for me.

Hey! Can anyone explain the difference between a CD and TC ignition system? I am looking at an alternative tach and the manufacturer (If you are interested): http://autonnicmanufacturing.com/Home_files/Page1237.htm said theirs would work on a 4 cycle, 4 cylinder engine if it were not a CD system. Manual says 2nd gens have a TC digital system. Just wondering.

Was underneath the bike today and noticed my bell is gone. Key ring it was mounted with is still there though. Looks like the bell rubbed off a lot on the key ring. Does the pewter ring wear through? I like to have my bell swinging free. I am wondering if it needs to be installed so that it doesn't swing? Ross

Will the trunk from an 86 VR fit on my 83? I like the style of the backrest better and was wondering if it's a straight swap.

Getting ready to buy new tires (front and rear), getting Avons, liked them on my Roadstar so they're going on the RSV. Just wondering where everyone is getting them from nowadays. J&P have pretty good pricing, you join their "club", you get 10% off. It's $50 to join, but I'll end up with about half of that back with the tire purchase. The price is 139 ea on the tires. Southwest is about the same price and Motorcycle Superstore is about the same with the discount offered. Just wondering what people are doing. Thanks

I was wondering how many of us are planning on going Leesburgs for bikefest??? We are planning on being down there all three days, staying not to far away in Wildwood. Would like to see if anyone wants to meet and ride in together a day or two or just meet there. Our first time going , don't really know what to expect just going down to relax and enjoy riding.

It's taking me a little bit of effort to get used to the heel-toe shifter. Plus, my current riding boots are worn out and it is time tor eplace. I am thinking about getting a set of cowboy boots, but I am wondering how well the work with the controls. My size 12 foot barely fits between the two shifter pegs as it is. Anyone else ride with forward controls and cowboy boots?

It has been a while since I have asked this Question. Has anybody come up with an Idea or do they make any kind of extension for the passenger for 99+RSV yet ? I have a 1999 RSV. I got a new valve cover gasket today, and I took the old one off. There was silicone every where. I was wondering if the valve cover pan was on the wrong way. There is an arrow in the pan that was pointing toward the back tire. I am wondering if it is suppose to point that way or does it really matter? Thanks hairman

Hi gang. Is it possible to remove the rear shock and the fender will not hit the tire? so It can be put on a lift and carted off to my dealer for my trike conversion? I was wondering if removing the rear shock would cause any problems , A person that owns a second gen needs a shock pretty soon. otherwise he has to wait until about the 2nd week of March. If I can remove it, what is the procedure on doing that? Almost looks as if I would have to remove the Tire.. ummmm maybe I otta let them remove it. *lol* My Poor Bike is almost NAKED NOW *sigh* Basically I was wondering if it was a BIG deal or not.
