I finally gother back on the road and now she is loading up. If I get below 2000 RPMs, then it iwll load up and die. Does anyone have any ideas? I have already restricted the fuel flow from the petcock. I put the petcock half on/half off. It does not seem to help.

All of a sudden my front forks are squeaking when I hit bumps. Any Ideas? No visible leaks that I can find.

Put on a new set of rear shoes today, and when I just took it for a test drive, my headlamp is not working...however, my high beam indicator stays on no matter where my switch is...any ideas?

I was looking at my bike at lunch today and seen a screw in the back tire oh joy!! I called around and nobody will put a plug in it and only want to put a new tire on the back for 220 bucks any ideas? Thanks

My radio was stuck on one channel. Couldn't change channels or switch modes to cassette, cd, Aux, etc. Now it won't even turn on. Any ideas?

Looking for ideas as to why 07 RSV with 10,000 miles has been popping when shifting up and when getting off the throttle. Just changed plugs with NKG's and bored out catalytic converter out of RK slip on's. Also removed the middle plate so you can see thru each pipe front to back. Gas milege is still the same, idles fine but get that pop sound. Was running 91 0ctane and just put in 87 octane and it was less today on a 50 mile ride. Any ideas or imput appreciated. (Any Idea's ) After my conversion, the first few weeks my top end power was there, I now have over 1500 miles on since then and loving every minute of it, I will never go back! , but what has happened or is it my Imagination? If I kick it into 5th gear I lose my top-end power range. I have changed plugs / air filters etc. still the same. I know that I now have an extra 300 pounds but As I get up into the higher range or up a hill I can not seem to go over 65 mph , it is like horse power is maxed out . In the lower gears ( 1/2/3 and a bit of 4th) I can get the RPM's up really high. any idea's? or am I just getting old? *lol* On Another note: when we had 2 wheels and pulled our trailer I was pulling 300 more pounds and all was OK, and a passenger. Members of this amazing club have been responding to a post I had in Ladies Lair titled: "Nearly ready to ride." I felt it important (to ME!) to post here in Watering Hole, so that I could acknowledge their help and ideas to everyone. THANK YOU IH TRUCK GUY, and BOB MYERS :clap2::clap2: Your assistance and imput on the idea's to mount my crutches on the bike are so appreciated. (and you lifted my spirits too) I think we have finally solved the problem, and it was done thousands of miles away!! Words--can't find 'em to express what ALL of you mean to me now!!! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

My rear Dunlop E-3 on my 84 has developed some pretty serious scalloping.. I generally run about 42 psi in that tire. I don't run real agressive in corners and do run a fair amount of slab.. Any ideas why this happens... I had hoped to get considerably more mileage than that. I got nearly 20 K on my previous E-2s.

So i packed the runkill switch with dielectric grease and the stupid thing still left me stranded in a parking lot. So i took the switch out and bypassed it just to get home. I'd like to find a totally new switch somewhere (maybe a better one that handles moisture a little better). Any ideas? I'm not having much luck other than some crappy used ones on ebay that will probably have the same issue. thanks a bunch. -
I need to replace my tires and have read a lot of the posts on tires on this board. The one thing I didn't find is any negative effects of going with a narrower front tire. I like the idea of better low speed handling, but don't know what I might be giving up. Anyone have any ideas on this? craigr (edit) - BTW, you folks have sold me on Avons. All I need to do is figure out the sizes.

I have a 84 Venture Royal everytime I hit a bump in the road it feels like the front shock bottoms out. Maybe low on oil it the front shocks ? just dont know anything about it just bought it last Saturday they have plenty of air in them. Any ideas?

Well, my summer officially starts Sunday night at 6:00. After 3 months of hard, manual, labor we finally have the place spruced up for our big weekend. (Folk's 50th anniversary party at our place and haven't done anything to the farm the last 5 years, cuz we've been to "busy" riding) So.....I'm thinking I derserve to treat myself. I want some chrome, but I'm too tired to come up with any idea's. What do I need to spruce her up a little? Got any idea's?

I am having trouble finding a paper element air filter for my 87 Venture. Anyone have any good ideas on where I might find a new one and any part numbers that might be helpful.?. Thanks guys.

Can I use a vacuum/pressure gauge test kit instead of a carbtune? Will this give better results than the carbtune? Any other ideas? I am going to try to post a picture of one that I found on ebay. Thanks hairman

Does anyone here have any experience with a motorcycle hauler in the Mass. area? I have a friend who's son needs his crotchrocket taken from Lynn, Mass. to the Ocala Fl, area. I've never used one but I've read about several that have used them. Just wondering if anyone here in that area has any ideas? thanks!

Just wondering if anyone has a 1st generation charging stator that is burned up that I might be able to talk you out of? I have some ideas that I want to experiment with and I need an old burned up/damaged stator
