I'm looking to get some tires for my 83. Anyone found a good deal? My local stealer is offering a pair of Dunlop for $269 (pair). and $52.00 for labor. Does this sound ike a good deal? Thanks. -
Anybody else here have Restless Leg Syndrome? What do you take for it or what do you do to help cope with it? I've been on Tramadol for quite some time and it worked well for me. It as also very cheap. But now it has been giving me migranes. So now I either deal with migranes, or I don't get any sleep. Thanks, Bill

HI, I'm looking to get back to riding after a several year hiatus. I'm looking at a 99 Venture, and wanted to ask if I could impose on the great members here to tell me if it sounds like a reasonable deal? It's a 99, wine red over silver, from the original owner. It's got 31K miles. It's got passing lamps, saddle bag rails, luggage rack, turn down pipes, the Harley lights added to the back brake lights, the original seats but an added riders backrest. All the electronics work, including the intercom system. The only two things I know about being wrong are the left wind deflector has a crack, and there is a small leak from the clutch cylinder that appears to be from around the O-ring. The tires and brakes were apparently put on new about 4K miles ago. I'm going to try to attach a couple of pics, I hope I do this right. Can anyone suggest anything I should check on or make sure of with a 99 RSV? Would this bike for $6000 be a reasonable deal?

Klaus from YSS just e-mailed me with a oppurtuniy for someone the e-mail is below, just wished I lived closer and I would jump on it. Joe, the inquiries and orders for this shock are getting more and more, but I never had a chance to test one on a bike, or to have a bike in the shop to see whether we can offer remote pre-load adjusters or other model shock with compression damping. Do you know of a list member in NJ possibly in the center of the state around Freehold who would be interested in a deal for letting me have the bike over a weekend or so to do some tests. Well, I might be back on a Yamaha! I found a great deal on an 08 Tour Deluxe with under 4,000 miles and warrenty until 2015. I would like to sell my 03 Road Glide first so I don't have to borrow the money and I am talking to a guy who will give me what I need to purchase the Tour Deluxe plus a 91 Trans Am GTA with 62,000 miles. So I get rid of the Road Glide and end up with a Tour Deluxe and a Trans Am with the only cost being the taxes and fees. Let's see - I've had two 2000 MM Ventures and an 07 Tour Deluxe. For some reason I keep coming back to the Yamaha! One of the greatest benefits of having a Royal Star is the Venturerider forum!!!

Anybody deal with Yamaha Sports Plaza in Fairview OR. I ordered some parts from them, and wonder how they are to deal with. They claim to be the biggest in NA, but they did take my money before they had all the parts together.... so I was just wondering.

Hey All, had to pass up on a very good deal on a bike because I have not sold my 2008 Harley Heritage-105th Anniversary Edition. Have it posted for sale here and elsewhere. So I started thinking, I will Help You by Helping Me. I will give a $1000. discount to anyone from this site who buys my bike. My ride is a 92 Yamaha venture , old plastic bike a bit rough around the edges, but I like the way it rides. It was treated pretty roughly in its life I think and some of the plastic was a bit rough and it was missing all of the amenities because it was a police bike. Picked up a parts bike for $500 this weekend.. that all the electronics are present on, lots of extra amenities, like drivers backrest, trailer hitch, etc.. Wasn't supposed to run, but it is running. Would only run on choke at 1st , but after a can of sea foam it is getting better slowly but surely, no idea of the shape of the carbs / carb diaphragms. I am sure the carbs need cleaning. Sat up for a long time I think , the clutch and brakes need to be rebuilt, It has zero clutch right now. But this bike wasn't supposed to work really ,so this is all a bonus I think I am still going with my original plan though and use the parts from it to fix mine up, but man, I'm pleased as punch to find another one for a good deal.. My wife bless her saved our a$$ today tried making a u turn to get out of bumper to bumper traffic in Gatlinburg Tn. It was to tight an the bike went over at a dead stop was holding for all I was worth I'm 6'3 next thing I know she is beside the bike shoving us back up right without a scratch and then hops back on like it was no big deal. Still shaking my head because most the time she does good to get on and off. Was so proud of her and told her so what a gal even with her short legs. The highway peg did fold up about halfway that's how close it was.

I sold my 2006 GL1800 to a guy that flew in from Wichita KS to Atlanta and rode it home. I rode it for 2 yrs and put 24k miles on it and sold it for $700 less than I paid for it. Not a bad deal! I still have the '97 RSTC and I might be looking for a sport touring bike like a Kawi Concours 14 in the future.

Well I wasnt really looking to trade bikes,but the guy made me a deal I could not refuse. I had an 05 Roadstar silverado with 70,000 miles on it .Traded for an 08 Royal star with 19,000miles on it for 3800 and the roadstar,what would you have done. This bike is spotless.

I bought my 2004 midnight RSV fall of last year. It's a well maintained stock bike just as it left the factory. I knew it would need accessories, but I got a great deal so that didn’t bother me. I found in a thread on this site that someone referred to MotorSportsSuperCenter.com. So I tried it and what a great deal. I received 26% off my order and was able to combine shipping. The retail of my order was $567.65 and I saved $147.61 WOW. I wish I could thank the person that left this tip but I can’t remember the thread I found it in. Also on their web site, you could go to checkout and see the shipping cost without entering any payment info. The only down side was they wanted the entire order at their building to ship in one box, which is why they could offer a combined shipping rate. It took 11 days after the order was placed for UPS to drop it off at my house. Not a big deal for the cash I saved. I was fortunate to find this, so I hope someone looking for parts/accessories reads this and saves some cash. The accessories I order were all genuine Yamaha. Now I have plenty of "Safety Chrome". The only other thing I want is a wider windshield with a vent. Then bring on the sunshine a warm days.
