the other brand i tried were on my buddies flat screen. if you have satellite or cable you can plug into the red and white plugs in the back for the right and left channel. they should fit any tv. they will also work with an ipod or any other sound device. you get all the conectors you need. about a 2 min. install.

just bought a wireless head set for my tv. this thing is awesome. it is made by sony. there are several other brands out there but this was reasonably priced for $79.95 at radeo shack, and highly recommended by thier electronics wizard. i had some way more expensivs ones in mind on the net for $239.00 that i tried at my friends house. this one sounds better then his. here's how they work. there is a transmitter charger that the head phones sit in that plugs into the audio out put on the back of the tv. they have a separate volume control on the phones and you can change the tv volume and mute it without affecting the phones. basically my wife can listen to the volume she wants which is usually very low, and i can set my volume to what i like. they work absolutely perfect. i barely have to turn my volume up to hear the tv perfect. the head phones are very high quality, and recharge when you set them back in the base transmitter. they will recieve the signal up to 150 feet from the tv. the model no. is # MDR-RF925RK you can probably get more info on the sony website. the frequency responce is incredible, great base and treble. topnotch product. there will now be no more arguing between me and linda about the tv blasting. bill :clap2:

well i went and looked at it. solid body, needs paint, has'nt been started in 25 years. it is all there and needs no major parts. it has been inside for 25 years. absolutely filthy. interior is in good shape. no rust. for a total restoration it would be a premium car to start on. to just make a reliable driver it would take alot of money and work. i just don't feel like taking on this project at my age. i could just bring it home and resell it and make a few grand ,but that is not what my buddy had in mind when he offered it to me. so i told my sister she could have it. my brother inlaw likes sports cars and is retired and older than me and has more time. wish it would have never been offered to me but it was nice of my buddy to offer. bill

in defense of the harley guys. true story. linda and i were on the way home from the mall on my 1100 vstar several years ago and i had a flat tire. lots of bikes went by. first guy to stop was on a sportster. he let me use his cell phone, next guy that stopped was an old hard core biker on a converted police harley looked like santa claus in bib coveralls. asked if we needed help. said no thanks just called the towing co.. he rode all the way around the block to come back. third guy stopped in a truck with a trailer. towing co. never showed, said he would be glad to haul my bike home no charge. turned out he had an ultra at home. out of all the bikes that went by and looked only three harley riders stopped. i gave the guy and his wife a beer, forced some money on him and made some new friends. found out he was a neighbor of one of my best friends in another town. bill ps. moral, them harley guys ain't bad as they let on.

forget buying the jets. drill out your own. pm me, i will give you the details. they definately need jet work. you are thinking backwards. the pilot circuit or primary jets are to lean due to pollution laws, they need to be inlarged. the mains are just right unless you have a dyna 3000 with the increased rev limit. in fact they are on the rich side. with a little jet work and a dyna 3000 you won't believe the difference. like adding another cylinder. if yours is rich at idle your air screw is way out of adjustment. i know of what i speak. been working with motorcycle carbs for years. don't raise the needles. they are fine where they are. bill

update on mgb gt. going to look at it tomorrow, it is possibly a 1974, no rust, needs paint, etc. did a little research, the 6cyl. was an MGC. they made a few that were fiberglass from the doors back. could'nt find any history on an aluminum body. lots of aluminum body parts were used. like the bonnet and doors. in 1975 they went to rubber bumpers. they are not worth much, cuz they are butt ugly. the six is an improved version of the healey 3000 motor. totally different. this one has wire wheels and a four banger .it is orange with a tan corduroy interior as close as i can remember. if i don't take it my sister is going to take it. i'm just not the sportscar type but that may change when i see it. my friend insists that he wants me to have it. hate to look a gift horse in the mouth , but i sure wish it was a super car from the 60's. lol. there is a v-6 ford convertion kit available for it, which allows the use of a late model ford v6 and tranny as a bolt in. i may do a redo for linda cuz she has never had a car she could call her own, and wants a saturn sky. FAT CHANCE :rotf:hope i don't get hooked on this thing cuz i'm getting ready to move into retirement again. toys and retirement don't seem to work well together. mostly the big expensive ones.

well said don, hey peg, i don't know if this post was just meant to be in fun. but it's beginning to sound like you need to learn to be your own gal. if you like your bike hold your ground. i had 4 sportsters and still like them but i would'nt consider buying one. mainly cuz they don't even compare to a v-star. i had an 1100 v-star silverado, and now have a v-star 1300. a sporster won't even come close. stick to your guns and keep what you like. i don't tell my wife what to buy. she gets what she wants and i get what i want. thats what a good married life is all about. bill

come on guys, highwaypeg seems like a nice lady ,and her husband may be one nice person. he just believes in what he rides. kind of like me and my wing. well not quite. i think the major problem here is pegs bike will out run his and his friends bikes and it is an embaracement to him. peg, my advise is stay out of the throttle when you ride with them harley guys. you can make alot of money on the side. sucker them in on a drag race. tell them to put up or shut up. if you accidently get beat look me up and we will do some tweaking so it don't happen again. :rotf:

my dad had a slightly restored 57 mga. in fact i took my drivers test in it when i was 16, right before i went in the service. thanks to all for the much needed info. i don't think i want it, but i have to go look at it. if i was ten years younger i would'nt hesitate. just don't have the drive i once had, and tired of making a silk purse out of a sows ear. i will mention that some of you are interested. i don't think he cares about selling it, he just wants it to get a good home for it, and out of his garage. i will let you all know more info after i see it. it may not be worth the trouble.

don't think it's aluminum. he said it had a rust spot on top of one of the fenders.

hey jt, if it was a willys coupe it would already be in my garage and my wife would be on the phone with chip. i watch overhaulin reruns every morning. after the 7 days of hell they put you through it has to be the thrill of a lifetime.

i am going to try to ride over to his place next sat. and look at it. he does'nt know what year it is. i drove it when my dad had it but just can't remember anything about it. i did a little investigating and found out the mgb ran from 1962 to 1980 i think the gt was introduced in 1963 there were around 125,00 gts made and about 325,00 roadsters. just don't have the space, money, or interest to tackle this project. i do have to at least go see it. i wish he had'nt offered it to me, although i thought it was very thoughtful for his consideration. thanks for the info so far. im going to do a little more investigating. this would be a good project for the tv show overhaulin. maybe a small block ford v8. i also found out they made a v8 model with a small landrover buick v8 at the end of the run.
