Nice pics Condor. I was wondering, I saw a whatchamacallit and a thingamajig in one of those phots. Are those for sale?
-
Dan, thanks for the in. Can I assume you run the 2200T? Any issues? I know one of the things the Zumo has going for it is a HD that can take some vibration.

Boomer, while it's there, have them check to see if your unit falls under the head torque issue that was experienced recently. Short of it was an issue where the cylinder heads were not torqued properly and this caused antifreeze to seep out and puddle on the floor. It's a Yamaha fix that is covered....I can't remember the service bulletin number though:080402gudl_prv:.

I have them both on my '05 MRSV. No issues.

Aside of loosing family members to it and all the health concerns, the cost of the whole habit really got me rolling. I am a self professed "Chromosapien" and I have a patch on the vest that says that exactly. I am looking forward to affording more bike bling with the money I will save. Remember: "Safety chrome is always a wise investment".

Are you ready to lay 'em down? One of my Southern Cruiser Brothers and I have started a forum for Motorcycle entusiasts as a support group to kick the habit. We have just started it and I posted it locally. Since I am a member here, I thought there may be some of you who would like to join us. There is no cost. Official start date is Saurday, December 1st, so go buy your Chantix, gum or lozenges this week and join the soon to be smoke free! Check it out: http://forums.delphiforums.com/smokeout

We're hearing the same thing about the Vmax engine for 2009. This should be a V4, fuel injected 1800. If that does happen, we're betting the Venture will get it too. www.precisionyamaha.com If you're passing through Nashville, stop in and say hello!

I converted the OEM reflectors to LED's on both the front and rear. The rears are easy but the fronts are a b***h to do if you want to keep a decent mount for them. I took photos of this and plan to post it soon. You can buy the reflector LED's from JC Whitney. As for the rear LED bar, that came from Auto Zone and cost about $14. It is actually designed to fit in a car rear window but can be adapted for your use. This item is made by Pilot and ma be hard to find now. There are other great LED bars in the aftermarket for this use. Good luck!

Someone on the Venturers.org website uses them and swears by them for the price. Personally, I have tried the following: Drilled OEM pipes Stock Road Kings Modified Road Kings Hooker Tuned Pipes Barons Bagslash Nasty Boy's Harley Screamin' Eagles I chose to keep the last ones!

Barons slip-ons or Bub slip-ons?
Boomer replied to Bartley's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Nope. You may experience some popping or backfiring when letting off the throttle coming to a stop though. If this is the case, look around the Tech Section for a cure. I backed off the carb pilot screws about a half a turn and this helped. Since I tried the Barons, I have settled in on a set of Harley Screamin' Eagles from a Road King. I like these the best. -
Kite Squid...Yes, the chrome is coming off mine too.
