Im going to offer $250.00 for it. I know that wont buy it but at least I can check the guys temperature with that offer. It is pretty close to me, and pretty convenient being in Macon where Mo highway patrol Troob B headquarters is. I know quite a few patrolman out of troop B. I just thought it would make a nice little project, and something to occupy my time. Ill keep you posted. Getting a title is not a big deal unless it has a lein somewhere. A trip to Macon to inspect, then hop over to the troop b headquarters before the purchase should let me know whats up with it.

Ok I have researched a little bit. Definetly am finding things that support this being a possible bike that is hard to find. Would make a neat little project. http://stlouis.craigslist.org/mcy/2235914172.html

I looked at, and sit on 3 wings, none were 2012's mind you, but I am 6'0" and I just felt cramped up. Did not feel like I could stretch out at all. May have been just me, but when I went shopping I went for a comfortable cruiser, and settled on our 09 venture.

Confusing Electrical Problem

Im betting he could just wiggle that fuse holder and get the same result. Pulling and reinstalling the fuse is probably doing nothing more then disturbing the wiring that has the dirty/loose connection. Just my .02 -

Yep Yep to discuise it in one episode :cool10: to my knowledge that is the only 2 colors it has been since thr Dukes named it Genral Lee. Before that in its first episode when it come from the junkyard after the bankrobbers got caught and it was impounded, it was black.
-
Do not think Ill ever outgrow the "Dukes". I know I know poke away, but since I was a kid and fell for hotrods I always thought the general was a cool ride. One day I will own one. A little trivia for the Dukes fans here. How many colors has the General Lee been in its life??

Cooling system diognosis is not really complicated. No matter what it is. It appears that the dealership got tunnelvision in that they were convinced it was a leak issue (possible headgasket). Sometimes this is from the service writer feeding to much into the customers diognoses. Obviously you have to pay attention, and listen to what the customer says, but then relay to the tech what is important, which in this case should have been you smelled coolant after a long ride and the overheat indicator light come on.......Now if the tech is not smart enough to check a fan as being a possible cause for an overheat then run-not walk- to another dealership. All this with none of us really knowing what transpired between you as the customer, service writer/manager, and service manager to technician. Either way a month for a cooling overheat indicator light is crazy.

163.428 MPH !!!!!!!! What the hell was the Cop driving to catch him He can drive fast, but not good, or this would have been a conversation around the coffee pot at the cop shop and nothing more. They outrun out cops here on little crotch rockets. -
Will someone please quit putting in the order for this white stuff. It is flat out dumping again on us. Heavy wet snow. Noones satelite is working they are all snow packed (i have netflix and laptop so dont care), power lines are drooping quite nicely. Just sitting and waiting for the next tone out. We have had one call after another. I finished up with a semi loaded with cookies that rolled a little bit ago. As soon as this snow settles Ill have lots of cookies for sale.... aaah just kidding. Towing company gets to offload the cookies Then the School bus with 27 students rear ended. No major injuries YET thank God. that it stays calm the rest of the night.

We only have 2 stations and were assured by our Abels (shell) that it was NOT blended. We pay special attention to it as it tends to seperate, so make a point to NOT buy any blended fuels at the fire station. Now having said that, their is no sure way to tell I guess. But we least were told it was not. Missouri repealed its labeling law in 2002 then pushed the for mandatory ethanol making that a success in 2007 or 2008. I guess from what I researched that 10% is probably in all our fuel and by law they do not have to disclose it. At 10% we have not had any issue if its there. But The pumps marked E85 will cause us issues. Glad you pointed that out, it made me do some digging I was not aware of.
-
Ethanol fuel sucks. I refuse to use it. MPG's got to pot, it wears out fuel system components early, tends to seperate when it sits. Nasty junk crap. Im glad im in an area where it is a complete option still. We onlt have a Caseys that carries it.

Reminder of how important it is to watch the ride like a pro series. "when approaching an intersection always have the front & rear brake covered". I believe he claims it saves 1 second by just having your fingers and foot covering the brake vs reaching up then applying it. I cannot wait to get my videos. 20 yrs of looking at engines, inside and out, broke and just wore out........I can tell you that one is broke..... I really hope that Yamaha steps up for your sake. Keep us informed on the progress please. I did reword this after realising with the help of another member it sort of sounded as though I may have pointed fingers. Never was my intentions for those who seen this before editing. -
We just got unburied and recovered from the last round of snow. Now forecast is Thur, Sat, Sun, Mon.......SNOW Will it ever quit?

Give it a bump before I ebay them.

You would be suprised at how easy it is to juggle. I get asked often when or if I sleep. But in reality its all about how you prioritise. By the way 2 of the 4 boys really are not boys. One is 19 and attending college. One is 18 and in the US Army (E3 airborn infantry) So its not as complicated as it seems. BUT it is a huge decision just the same. One I am not taking lightly I can promise you.

I guess I should clear the air. We are a well organized, very respected volunteer department. Not your typical image of volunteer foundation savers here. We are FFI and FFII certified. We are Hazmat certified. Run a kick azz responder program with 4 EMT's and 12 basic med responders. 2 Pumpers, 2 Brush units, 2 tankers and provide mutual aid to 3 neighboring towns. So not saying it is much different then a paid career dept, but it is some. Id have a rural board, and city council to answer to. Not a issue their they have great respect for me already. So yeah its a step up with more responsibilities, but without all the political crap that you would expect to find in a paid department.

Trust me when I say I thought about this and our riding. BUT I figure Id have a spectacular Asst. Chief and if need be he is more then capable of managing while im "in-disposed".
