i installed it with a relay, ran power from battery with fuse, & installed a on/off switch near the aux power outlet. I got it wired so the lights stay on all the time. I can switch them off if I like. Thanks, Mel

If I could ever figure out how to post pictures I would.....I will take the time to figure it out one of these days. Oh well if I didn't install them then I guess I better not show my wife, or just hope she has a good imagination. Mel

Just got finished a little while ago installing my new light bar & passing lights on our RSV. It wasn't to bad. I get all cobbed up when it comes to wiring. I don't post much but I do alot of reading. I want to say again what a great bunch of folks there is here & I appreciate all the info that is available. I don't believe I could have done it with out the help I have found here. Thanks All!! YEA YA'LL, YEA ME. :cool10:I can't wait till my bride gets home and I can show her the new lights on "her" bike. Thanks again everyone, Mel

O.K. So there isn't supposed to be a bolt in it to hold it in. It's just held in place by the "flat" spot on the side cover. I wasn't sure, That clears it up for me. Thanks for your help. I love this site......I don't post much, but when I have questions it sure is a great place to get answers. I have learned so much from the folks here. Thanks Again, Mel

Just My luck....going to be near 75 tomorrow, was going to ride the bike to church in the A.M. and then go for a ride. Went in the shop to check on the bike and found a coolant leak around the left rear cylinder cover. Pulled the side cover and discovered, it appears that the plug is leaking. There are threads in the plug but no bolt. Is there supposed to be a bolt that holds the plug in ? If so what size? Thanks, Mel

I usually just read because that is what i enjoy doing. If I have a question I will ask it, or if I have some knowledgeable information I will share it. But there is no way I was just going to read this post & not respond. I am going back to my corner now. Merry Christmas Everyone, Mel

HMMM I saw a blue/black rsv yesterday afternoon at the sheetz in Youngsville. Wonder if was the same culprit. I should have stopped, But My wife wasn't feeling real well and we were making an emergency run to the dairy queen for some ice cream medicine. Melvin

Hope everyone is enjoying riding season...I know we are. My lovely bride & I are starting to look at safety gear (Jackets & Pants). What safety gear do ya'll wear? We are looking for something that is cool enough to wear in the heat but yet strong enough to protect us if we go down. It seems so confusing. Thanks, Melvin

Hey Bernie, That is a great starter bike, we started on a 650 classic. I have a mustang 2 piece seat, Saddle bags & rails that came off my 07 650 classic if you're interested. Both in good shape. Thanks Melvin

Hey guys, I'm looking into getting a gps. I am wondering which ones you guys have, the features you like, prices etc. basically what should I be looking for. Thanks, Mel

Thanks guys, I guess I'll take it to another dealer. It seems as though some folks at the dealer would rather be "right" rather than take care of the customer, or possibly even learn something. I was hoping to find something from out from Yamaha. (Thanks John I will check that out) Well at least it is supposed to be nice again this afternoon, great day for a ride, even if it is to the dealer, Thanks, Melvin

Thanks for all the responses. I took it to a dealer and they said it wasn't covered. It seems that the general opinion here is it should be covered, I think so to, but this dealer says no. But then again, when I tell them that the venture comes with a 5 year factory warranty they look at me like I'm nuts. So what is my next step? Thanks again, Melvin

I noticed yesterday my left lower faring is cracked. How it happened I haven't got a clue. Has this been a known problem? Would it be covered under warranty? If not does anyone have one or can this one be repaired? Thanks, Melvin

I had something really good for this post....but I can't remember what it was

Hey Brian...I've been wondering the same thing, If you find out anything let us know

I always use the side stand to shut the bike off. I have seen guys pull up, shut the bike off, get to blabbing about something, then get off the bike only to realize they forgot to put the side stand down.

Well it was time to replace my rear tire. So with all the reading I have done on here I decided to go with the e3. I started checking around on prices, on line, and several dealers. Called Team Power Sports in Garner N.C. and got the best price. Got a new rear elite 3 Dyna Beads and installed on bike for just a hair less than $215.00. I don't think that was bad at all. They had the best price on the tire from the get go. The service writer told me after words, installation should have been more because it was a venture. Code date on tire 0511. Love this sight and ALL the useful information. Thanks Guys & Gals, Melvin
