Hi gang, I have a neighbor that stopped by yesterday and asked me if I wanted to buy is old goldwing, For the past 5 years I kinda have seen it parked in his garage and always told him that you need to ride that thing to keep the dust off of it. It has 42K on it and he say the carbs leak but starts, I see that it is in good shape , so ask how much?? He say's (5) I think and say $5,000.00 ??? He say's nope $500.00, my Question is how much are these going for these days? I am sure 500 is a pretty good deal and might pick it up this week to restore it a little , won't take much. but was wondering are the carbs on that year hard to work on? Carb's leak a little when running... What do you guys think? Thanks for any input. Jeff

Buddy have you removed the gas cap right after your doing this to see (hear) if you have a clogged vent on the tank? It will make a loud hiss sound. I had this happen a couple years ago and found that the tank was not venting and had to drill the vent tube on the tank as it clogged after a while the bike would start missing and die as it got worse until I popped the gas cap and then it would run fine for another 50 miles or so.. just a thought. Let us know what you find out. Jeff

Seaking, get the narrowest one's.. they will stretch a bit. but careful as pulling to hard they can also tear. there VERY tight in the rear.. you will NOT use the OEM screen mesh toss them out. Also look here. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=18228 Jeff -

Seaking, Take a couple songs and turn them into a higher bit rate lets say 256 or 320 and then try it., you will notice a difference. just my 2 cents worth. YamaDuck, boom mats deflect the sound toward you, so the music does not fall into the fairing losing the sound. (make since?) I use them myself. they mount behind the speaker. Jeff
