  1. Okay Gunner, Enough of the torture! Are they yours and where did you get 'em!
  2. I saw an exhaust on a Kawasaki Voyager (a 1993 I think) and I am wondering if anyone has a source for something like that that could be adapted to my 90 VR. They are the dual tipped ones. They are apparently welded to the muffler, but I wonder if any aftermarket tips could be fitted to a VR? Any advice /info would be appreciated. I saw some on a VR in the Gallery, but can't remember who it was. They really look sharp.
  3. Mike, Don't know what you've done to yours yet, but one thing that I did with my 90 that I would advise you to do is to fix the slipping clutch these things are prone to having. I did mine with an extra spring plate and the full friction plate mod. Also Earl (Skydoc_17) sells a mod with an extra heavy spring plate. A heck of a deal! Look in the classfieds for his ad. Just to give you an idea. You would not believe the difference this makes in the bike as far as performance. No slipping at all even in the high gears.
  4. Chief weren't they talking about "America the Beautiful"? You are talking about the Star Spangled Banner here aren't you? Just askin'
  5. Doctors (A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000. (B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000. © Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171 Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept of Health and Human Services. Now think about this: Guns (A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000. (Yes, that's 80 million) (B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups is 1,500. © The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .0000188 Statistics courtesy of FBI So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners! Remember, 'Guns don't kill people, doctors do.' FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, but almost everyone has at least one doctor. This means you are over 9,000 times more likely to be killed by a doctor as by a gun owner!! Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must ban doctors before this gets completely out of hand!!!!! Out of concern for the public at large, we withheld the statistics on lawyers for fear the shock would cause people to panic and seek medical attention!

  10. Hey Doc, When I did mine on my MK ll, I used a pair of vice grips and slowly squeezed them back in. You may have to polish them with some emory paper, but they should go back in for a quick fix. Get ahold of Skydoc_17 (Earl Harrell) here in the states. He can hook you up. Dunno about his prices international wise, but it might be worth a shot. He also rebuilds the things too. He may not do it right now cause he had surgery, but maybe can send you the parts. Good luck. Here's his ad in the classifieds... http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=2445&title=2nd-gen1996-2010-r1-caliper-swap-and-s-sbrake-lines-21&cat=22

  16. Check it out..... The armorial badge which all members of the Clan are entitled to wear embodies the crest of the Chief's Coat of Arms with a wildcat encircled by a strap and buckle bearing the motto: "Touch not the cat but a glove" (in Gaelic, "Na bean don chat gun lamhainn".) The motto's meaning is: Touch not the cat (when it is) without a glove. The glove of the wildcat is the soft, under part of his paw, and when assuming a war-like attitude, the paw is spread or ungloved revealing very dangerous claws. The motto is a warning to those who would be so imprudent as to engage in battle when the claw of the wildcat is ungloved. 20. You can get the same effect by switching your kill switch to the off position, pressing the start button and then switching the kill switch to the on position. The lights do not come on until you release the starter switch when the bike starts. I think friesman is also correct!
  21. Yes I bought a tire from them. Very good fast service. Free shipping!
