  1. Site seems slow today and sometimes I gettin a blank page. Think they may still have issues.
  2. I think I got mine at http://www.calsportbike.com. Looks like they are running about 109 plus shipping
  3. Start with a say, 10 dollars a year "site maintenance" donation request. Send it out with the email people get when joining but say its not required. Then send out a reminder once a year on the members joined date. Now as an incentive add the features such as seeing who has read a thread and the chat room to all those that have paid the site maintenance fee. You can state its not required but due to the extra load for the requested features a fee is needed to pay for the bandwidth and equipment. Which is the truth... Now the 2 edged sword. When people pay for something they sometimes believe they have more right to do or say what they please. In which case a refund of a prorated amount will gladly be given to anyone that you wind up banning (which has only happened like 3 times I think). I chose a low figure as I know you don't want to make money off the site but you should not have to pay for it all either. Its gonna be more work but I think we moderators can pitch in with the user setup and such unless you can automate it with the vbulletin software.
  4. It was a DoS attack. That's not a bunch a deers either.... Basically the network this site was on was flooded with bogus requests and replies to the point the nothing could move in or out. Just guessing but the ISP probably just locked down the networks ips being attacked so that's why you were getting the "access is denied"
  5. UP-Down-Up-Down. I'm goin thru withdrawls here.....:rotf: Almost 1am CDT
  6. To Who ever was attacking the site :moon: :moon: :moon:
  7. You done gone and started it now.... :stirthepot:
  8. If your hearin it or seeing it arc I would have to guess its a bad spark plug wire. The only voltage high enough to ARC is from the coil to the spark plug and its only got one wire to each plug. Check at the coil to see that the spark plug wires are seated properly.
  9. Having the CB turned down is up to you. Chatter and intermitten noise will override the am/fm. I leave mine off unless riding in a group of other riders who have a cb radio.
  10. When you say radio are you talking CB or intercom ?
  11. Probably not enough letters. I tried motor and nothing then motorcycle found 5 things for the search on the main menu on the left side of the index page
  12. Index page just above "who's online" Crosseyed ? Just aim in the middle then.
  13. I would say the switch if the fuse is good. If flipping it on and off doesn't work either. Could be the cruz itself though since the switch just basically resets it when flipping it past the spring loaded side.Your not getting any cruz lights at all then its not even doing its self test.
  14. The "Topic Search" box is a little weird .
  15. :rotf: Well, You can't win them all. It will be time to worry if you hear the words Alaska and December being used in the same sentence . Good luck with the new job.
  16. Now it will handle and ride much better. Made a couple of runs to work last year with only 12 in the rear. 200 miles round trip each time. Yea, they feel a little weird and are kinda noisy that low. I was on Avons and had picked up a nail
  17. I was goin thru withdrawls there for about 5 minutes while you did that. Man I is gettin bad... :rotf:
  18. Prayers on the way for her. Hope she get thru it alright.
  19. One way to look at it is its the screwdriver. Or not. Guess it just your point of view. But Yamaha screws are different. http://www.katun.com/products/toolsjis.html
  20. Kids love being on the bike. Every time they are around I get to ride more...
  21. Driving cross county last year I noticed that I got really bad mileage out of the lower grade gas in some states. Started running 91 or higher octane whenever I fueled up solved the problem.
  22. Yep, Got it to 130. Goin by the tach cause the speedo only goes to 120. Have not tried it with the GPS lately. Here in San Antonio I haven't found a good long flat stretch out in the middle of nowhere yet to try it. I have already got 3 warning tickets here from DPS. CHP never bothered with you if you were goin 10 or less over. I don't think they'll give me a warning if they catch me doin that here.
  23. Going to use it for fishin, pulling a skier sometimes and a innertube other times. Also just driving around the lakes. Doesn't have to be real fast. I'm trying to stay between 2k and 3k and get something that is in decent shape. Maybe 5 passengers at the most and 2 of them would be kids.

    Boats

I know this is a Motocycle site but I trust the members here more than anybody else. Thinking of buying a used boat. Wanted to know some of the things I need to watch for. I know its not suppose to have holes in the bottom ? Right ? Found this one close. http://www.boattrader.com/listing/1986-BAYLINER-16-92184658 And this one a lot further away. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=017&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=270233744559&rd=1 Any recommendations would be great.
  25. Underpowered ? Nope, but you do have to wind them out. They are not v-twins so you can't ride them like that. As far as being top heavy ... http://www.ridelikeapro.com will help you solve that problem. I'm 6'2" and the bike is a perfect fit. A 500 mile day is easy on this bike.
