    Clean all the connections in the starting system and it may last you a while longer. Battery cables are not heavy enough to carry juice and ground cable provides poor ground. Lot of threads on this. Best fix is heavier cables. Somebody around here still makes them I think. Those will end the slow starts. Other helps are take starter apart and give it good cleaning and add a ground to the brush plate. Or buy a glass matt battery. More CCAs and will crank it better. Got you confused yet???

    I knew you would catch up!! Windy here today calling for sunshine for the next week after tomorrow and A couple days above 70!!! Warden hates to see me take off in the spring. She knows about the dirty roads being slick and knows the way I ride. I told her I don't do that stuff any more.....

    I'm not sure of the # for 2nd Gen but Earl has the Glass Matt batteries. Few bucks more but awlsome battery. Well worth it if you can wait couple days for it. The Wally World batteries I've used a lot but don't last worth crap. Good if you need one right now but the Glass Matt are so much better and supposed to last so much longer. (Don't know that yet) I put the new glass matt in my 1st gen. I thought upgrading cables was something I would have to do this spring. Not with this battery!! Cranks like a new one. I left it sit for a week on purpose thru the last cold spell. Tried it and it cranked as good as it did 1st time. I tried unhooking plug wires and it will stay up as long as you crank it. Quit because I don't like to crank one that much.

    Little thing that grows wild in West Virginia. Kind of a wild onion or Garlic. Get them when they are young and fry them up with Ham & Eggs or about anything you want. They are GREAT!!

    Thats a bunch of Burgers!! But they don't have ramps til June. And then they are pickeled. Its about time for fresh Ramps. Spice up a few of those with some ramps!! And they help to keep the neighbors away!!!

    If you had kept going north you could have stopped by my house. I live on 16. Couple of miles fron there and it is a great road at times.

    I had a close encounter with a 4x8 sheet of plywood couple of years ago. And the lady couldn't understand why I was upset!!
