  1. Wife and I spent 2 weeks straight last summer on my '84 with no problems, and plan on doing the same this summer, and the next, and the next... Most comfortable bike I ever owned, no fatigue factor at all!
  2. yah!! Sounds like periferal neuropathy or possibly carpal tunnel syndrome to me. I have both, and it's getting worse. Good gloves are mandatory for me...
  3. Awwww, mannn, I just washed my Toga and it got shredded in the washer. Can I still wear it anyway? Irish Cream, please...
  4. OK mnobody explained the proportioning valve to you so I will. Bolted to the output of the rear master cylander is a round silver tubular looking device with the line to the rear brake also attached where it bolts into the master cylander thru a banjo bolt. The other side of this proportioning valve has the line that goes to the front brake. It's basically a spring and diaphragm device that, as soon as you build up pressure in the back caliper, the pressure overcomes the spring rate and opens up to the front brake, allowing pressure to build up in the front brake as well. You can take them apart and degunk them, and there are a couple of rubber seals but their replacements are not available. I've heard of people just removing the guts and using it that way. Downside of that is with the proportioning valve there is a slight delay between the rear brake engaging and then the front, a good thing, as opposed to instantaneous engagement without the proportioning valve...
  5. You do know that the back brake is also linked to the front left brake as well, right? It too has to be bled along with the back brake. You may find that the rear caliper is seized up and needs rebuilding...
  6. OK tape deck sounds like a broken drive belt. Radio tuner problem is most likely a bad switch or two on the tuner controller unit, the one with the buttons. You can do either dual antennas, or use the CB with a splitter for radsio/cb which was the normal hook up back then. may still have a copy somewhere. What are you confused on? The CB needs a unswitched 12 volts for memory, and a switched 12 volts for operation. The yellow wire is for PTT and it supplies a ground. Can't remember what the rest of the wires do... DIN cable supplies the audio to the amplifier section of the radio system.
  7. Oh, I may or may not have a spare for you, I'll have to look...

  20. Wattage = volts x amps, and the circuit draws next to nothing current wise. The sensor is just looking for a voltage level, and doesn't really draw any current to speak of... 1/4 watt works fine!
