I agree with you Ben, the Road Glide is my favorite new style Harley. I love the front fairing, for most it's a Love/Hate with how it looks but I think it's sweet! Get what you want and enjoy it, thats why there are hundreds of different models and brands...choices are good

87 Linked Brakes
Squidley replied to Docjava's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Dennis, Depending upon how long the bike has been setting and the previous maintenance that had been done, you might want to check the rear master cylinder. Many times on these older Ventures the brake fluid turns to jello and will dramatically hamper the braking system. The actual procedure that I have done in the past with good results is this. Bleed the rear caliper 1st, this makes it so that you have good pressure to force air up the line to the bleed screw by the upper triple tree. Then bleed it at that steering head bleeder and then go down to the front left caliper. If you dont have a vacuum bleeder you might want to think about getting one as it makes the job a lot easier. There are a lot of members in Tennessee that would just love an excuse to ride and give you a hand if you so chose. Others will chime in here and give others insights....welcome to the club. -

Turn key nothing happens
Squidley replied to semaj's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Jim, Check all your connections from the battery down to where they mount to on the bike. The main fuse block is there under the left side battery cover. That would be a good place to check, also wiggle the key in the ignition a bit. The switches are prone to fail.- 4 replies

Have fun and know that were ready for you down here in TEXAS!

Before you jump into a lot of tearing apart 1 suggestion would be to make sure you have a good Carbtune sync on the bike. misadjusted carbs can make a lot of things funny, this is where I would start and then go further into it.
