Just picked up a hot rod magazine. There is a 31 ford with an unusual engine. It is an all aluminum 244 ci hemi v8 built by Yamaha in 1965. Wonder if you could fit it into the V Max or Venture?

There is also the fact that he shot "two or three times". It would have to be at very close range for him to feel threatened. He wasn't firing warning shots, he intended to kill. -
Great idea but make mine a Venture. If I'm going to go I want to be sure I am going to get there!

I believe that 15,000 euros comes to about 30,000 dollars. That means the 3 cyl would be about $ 40,000. Power/weight ratio is important but I wonder if anything that light could be well built. What about safety standards? They don't realy tell us much hard info.

Studies have shown that it is not speed that causes accidents but relative speed. When speed limits are removed most people are comfortable driving somewhat higher than the current speed limits. The problem is when people drive much faster or much slower than than the norm. Their speed relative to the majority is what causes accidents. I am comfortable driving fast enough to stay awake and slow enough not to scare myself. Too fast is exciting but not enjoyable, too slow is coma inducing which is dangerous.

The Avons give better handling and performance, the trade off is lower mileage. Personally I prefer the handling and performance, it is safer.

I have a sheepskin. Bought it off a farmer down the road who raises sheep. I like it because it is cool on hot days and warm on cold days/

I like the back. I would just like a picture of a venture on the front with the name venture. But that is just my opinion.

Just curious...has anyone read "Jeckle Island"? That is where the top financiers got togeather and formed the "Federal Bank" which is neither federal nor a bank. It loans money to the government and collects interest on the loans. It also sets U.S. policy.by having the government deep in its' debt. They want one North America, under their control.

OK folks, feel free to hate me, particularly those in the northern climes but I just have to do this. Rocket, sure hope you are back home to enjoy this. After months of rain and below normal temperatures, down to freezing a few days, we have sunshine!!!!! Today I am sitting on the sundeck, drink in one hand, book in the other. It is 60F in the shade, I am in T shirt and shorts. It is warm in the sun. I have been watching 6 deer browsing on the grass about 30 feet away. Two bald eagles have been circling the lake. Once in a while they swoop over the deck to check and see if the deer have roused anything, and to keep an eye on our cats. We have the fastest cats in the world here. About 4 years ago they took down a tree with an eagles nest in it in Victoria. The tree was rotten and going to fall on someones house. They found 12 cat collars in it. Them city cats are just too slow. The swans are back and checking out their nesting site. I have ribs marinating in dark rum and spices for the BBQ later. Got jazz and blues on the stereo. But, and isn't there always a catch, I don't have insurance on the bike yet so I can't go for a ride. I know we are due for another month of rain before it is safe to insure the bike. I almost forgot the best part...the boss is at work!!!!! A cohiba and insurance and the day would be perfect

At 5'10" I found it a bit much at first but then quickly got used to it and have had no problems although a narrower seat would help

A biker was sitting on his bike at the zoo just watching the animals. Suddenly there were loud screams, a lion had reached through the bars and grabbed a little girl and was trying to pull her into the cage. The biker ran up and punched the lion as hard as he could right on its nose. The lion howled and let go of the little girl who was quickly pulled to safety by her family. A reporter was nearby and saw the whole thing. He went up to the biker and said " Wow that was incredibly brave." The biker replied " not realy, the lion was behind the bars and I just jumped off my bike and reacted" The reporter said "Watch the paper tomorrow I am going to report this" The next day the biker picked up a paper. The headline read... "Biker attacks African immigrant and steals his lunch!":rotf:

Someone said "Ain't socialism grand". Don't confuse Socialism with Communism. China, Russia and Cuba have Communism. Canada, England, France and nearly all north European nations have some form of socialism. Socialism is merely universal social programs such as health care which have nothing to do with the government. Our problems are largely the result of bleeding heart, overly politically correct people and the wussie politicians who are afraid of them. Usually the second generation of immigrants adapt much better to their new country so long as they are not kept isolated in segregated schools and communities where they learn the hatreds and predujices of their fathers and mothers. Education is the key to integration. They should keep the good stuff (such as ethnic foods and dress) and get rid of the bad stuff ( such as racial, sexism, etc.)

Out here the East Indians have Surrey And the Chinese have Richmond (two large suburbs of Vancouver) The East Indians are demanding that all the road signs be in Hindi and our national anthem be sung in Hindi. There have been many murders in their community due to them having brought their cast system and sexism and racism with them. The Chinese already have the road signs in Cantonese and you can't find any store signs in English. The East Indians, Chinese, VietNamese, Russians etc are all killing each other over control of the drug scene. Other than that, things are fine.

Probably the Premium Outlet on Charleston. We were there last sept. Realy enjoyed renting a car and going on a circle route which took us to the Lost Village and then on to The Valley of Fire. Spectacular. Great for a one day trip. We also did the Grand Canyon and Brice Canyon and Monument Valley. Worth going back to.

Had a real cold snap last night. got down to -2c but now up to 0c (32F). Not a cloud in the sky so will warm up during the day and probably down to 0c again tonight.

Gee...if a little motorcycle engine does that....how much does a car or truck produce? Just picture all those cars in a traffic jam. Everyone who drives a car must be getting cancer.
