  1. Glad to hear all worked out. What was the final solution. And where is the pictures:thumbsup:
  2. Yep I do allot of controls at work and there are always multiple ways to get to the finish line it is the tecs preference of making it neat and simple so if we can do it in the panel with relay logic and not have to pull extra wires thats the way we go.
  3. But 30 is always high hot from the battery so on a NC contact your light is always on so maybe a DPDT would work where you could have 2 inputs to the relay contacts
  4. I was trying to show one or the other either the red line or the blue so with the red off the output of the first thinking its less on the ignition switch
  5. Something like this
  6. Are you sure the head lights were on like the ignition switch was on if 87 turns the lights on then 87A will be off if there is no power, changing the switch will do nothing and there will be 12v on 87a all the time
  7. Did some searches saww a Bosch relay in the tec section should be the unused contact http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=525
  8. As said above your relay may already have NC contacts or change relay added a schetch above
  9. So if it is a relay your running your lights off of all you would need is a relay with a normally closed contact so it would complete the circuit for a warning light.
  10. Hey I don't have a First Gen but read allot about battery cables on them thing could you have a bad connection or ground:think:
  11. Just for the safety factor of visibility why would you want to run with your lights off most want to add more or brighter lights
