1. Nice color. Congratulations.
2. I've been thinking about Delo but really not sure for the RSV. Rotella has been proven on RSVs so I will stick to this brand and not take a chance. Rotella 15W40 for Spring/Summer and Fall. T5 for winter riding.
3. RIP rider.
4. I've only changed mine once on my caged. On the Venture, I don't think there is one to be replaced.
5. Ahhhh. Interesting. I shall check our local laws here in Pa about that traffic signal light. So far, traffic lights change on me as expected. If not - Iist proceed with caution.
6. I say it is just fine. I even have to choke my weedwacker for a few seconds. Always warm up Yamaha engines.
7. Great find. Enjoy your 2nd Gen.
8. Hmmm. That is quite high compared to Pa. I only pay 18 dollars a year to register my RSV. Vehicles are apx 36 bucks a year. However, Pa require all vehicles to have a safety inspection and emission for cars and trucks. Just a safety check annually for bikes. This is where we even out I guess.
9. Members here will put out their opinion per the post, but I personally will not recommend what you are suppose to do. Yes, we can all ride our Venture in any condition it is in good or bad. Ultimately, the final decision rest to the main op of the bike. If anyone has any doubt that it is unsafe to ride your bike - think twice and lean towards safety.
10. Great info IronMike. 87 Octane only for my bike.
11. Hmmm. After reading this thread, I should double check my bolts before the afternoon ride.

Summer Heat

Hahahaha. You are right. I actually was able to get out and ride for 50 miles early this morning then went to the gym. I know, you guys in the west coast are coping with the excessive heat wave. Stay cool, hydrate and have fun riding.

Summer Heat

I hope by now you already have something to wear at least a long sleeve - thin one - so you do not get sunburned on your arms. With those long rides and lots of sun, protect your skin. Your planned trip sounds like fun. I wish you good weather all the way.

High 80's tomorrow for us here in SE York Pa. At least no rain in the forecast. Ride Safe.

Not in SE York. Got lucky I finally got the chance to cut the grass. No real rain until Thursday of next week. I should be able to ride Saturday morning - going to the gym.
17. Yep. Absolutely can start a thread. One thing I haven't tried is how to attach a file. Pics - easy easy. Smileys - haven't tried yet.
18. Wanted to take a ride early this morning and afternoon, but it is too hot and sunny. May have to wait late in the afternoon for a ride to the gym. The Venture is patiently waiting in the garage.
19. I use TapaTalk 95% of the time via my iPhone. I am always on my iPhone and not so much on my computer. The app is great so far and it is so easy to attach pics while on the go.
20. Yes. I would recommend bleed it a few more times and be very very certain that there are no air pockets within the line. If you can, order yourself a pair of speedbleeders for your front caliper. It makes it a lot easier.
21. Saw this thread about tires and the Brickstone. Yes, it is true that most forum members here that ride the Venture dislike the performance of the brick. Fwiw, I've always used the brick on my bike and got 15k on the rear on each. My bike is on its 3rd set of bricks. So far so good. Whatever tire you end up next, ride safe.
22. The last time I bought one was 6 months ago. It was less than $3 dollars.
23. I use this ff on my venture. I am on my 2nd ff already. Available at Advance Auto.
24. Hello guys. I got the battery for a few bucks under $100. Yes. After 5 years and knowing that the battery may or may not give me warning signs, I had do it and replace with a new one. As we all know, heat is not good on the battery if I am not mistaken. Ride Safe everyone.
