  1. This shows us there is very little reaction time whenever a deer appears in front of us while riding. Have fun and be careful out there.
  2. Yesterday, I got the chance to replace my old Yuasa battery. It has been on the bike for about 6 years. The old battery will still start the bike, but the sitting voltage was at 11.5 volts. Before I installed the new battery, I first gave it a slow 2 amp charge for about an hour. Having this new battery is good for my peace of mind.
  3. Welcome Cfox...!!!
  4. The last time I did my shaft, I had my son use a hanger to lift it up for me. It took a few tries and made sure it is connected properly.

    Accident

You had a close call. Also glad to know you are fine.
  6. Prayers to your family. Have a safe trip.
  7. My Prayers to you for a cure. Be strong. And remember...Miracles do happen.
  8. Yep. It is not a lot of miles for 2 years, so I am seriously thinking and gauging it as to when I should find time and do it.
  9. For the litmus test, I will assume test the coolant from the radiator not from the reservoir. Right?
  10. The last time I replaced coolant was 2 years ago. I want to replace coolant soon, but can I still hold on for another year thinking that engine coolant is still good. What do you guys think?
  11. Did you do any wiring installation lately? If so, wires could be kinked and/or shorted causing a fuse to blow.
  12. If I am not mistaken, you can make a claim to your local govt regarding your damage. Document what happened and seek legal advise if possible. Your state can be liable for the damages you have incurred.
  13. That NAPA ff to the left looks very much like what I have on my JD Tractor.
  14. Sorry to hear about your mishap. Heal well. Hope someone can help you on bike parts.
  15. Nice color. Congratulations.
  16. I've been thinking about Delo but really not sure for the RSV. Rotella has been proven on RSVs so I will stick to this brand and not take a chance. Rotella 15W40 for Spring/Summer and Fall. T5 for winter riding.
  17. RIP rider.
  18. I've only changed mine once on my caged. On the Venture, I don't think there is one to be replaced.
  19. Ahhhh. Interesting. I shall check our local laws here in Pa about that traffic signal light. So far, traffic lights change on me as expected. If not - Iist proceed with caution.
  20. I say it is just fine. I even have to choke my weedwacker for a few seconds. Always warm up Yamaha engines.
  21. Great find. Enjoy your 2nd Gen.
  22. Hmmm. That is quite high compared to Pa. I only pay 18 dollars a year to register my RSV. Vehicles are apx 36 bucks a year. However, Pa require all vehicles to have a safety inspection and emission for cars and trucks. Just a safety check annually for bikes. This is where we even out I guess.
  23. Members here will put out their opinion per the post, but I personally will not recommend what you are suppose to do. Yes, we can all ride our Venture in any condition it is in good or bad. Ultimately, the final decision rest to the main op of the bike. If anyone has any doubt that it is unsafe to ride your bike - think twice and lean towards safety.
  24. Great info IronMike. 87 Octane only for my bike.
