  1. That rubber side cover holder is still available from the dealer for about $5. I've seen them go for two or three times that on eBay. Always check bike bandit or flatout motorcycles (even better) for availability and/or price before you bid on eBay for parts for your bike.
  2. 1......!
  3. Yeah, what he said! Thank you Carl, for posting that. Boy I wish there was an easier way to say that without having to do all this gall-durn typing.
  4. Thanks for the links. I talked to my bro yesterday and he lost power for a few hours but that was the worst of it.
  5. Uhhh....Lewis.......We don't do anything in particular on the 2nd Tuesday of any month. We are, on the other hand, starting a breakfast on the 2nd Saturday of each month. But the March 29th M&E will be a lunch and seperate from the monthly deal.
  6. My brother is an OBGyn in Springfield and I just saw on TWC that it got hit. Guess I ought to give him a call. Where, in Springfield, do you work, ED? I grew up there.
  7. :confused24: :confused24: :confused24: :confused24: :confused24: :confused24: :confused24: :confused24: :confused24: :confused24: :confused24: Hey it still works for me but maybe 'cause I saved it on my box. It comes up in WM Player?!? Try this link, http://media.putfile.com/BURNOUT-COMPARISON
  8. Mike, there are a lot of great roads in the N Ga area. This website Motorcycle Mountain Map has a good map you can order. It gets down to the local roads that don't always show on the bigger maps! Georgia Scenic Byways is a site by GDOT. Mad Maps has some very good maps, this link takes you to the Smokey Mtn map. It has preplanned loops that are really nice rides. And MotorycleRoads.com is pretty good, it has all the states. When you get in this area give me a call. If I can get away I'd love to ride with you. In fact there are a few of us around this area. There is talk of another N GA M&E March 29th, so keep that in mind in you planning. The N Ga Annual March M&E (as I've just named it ) is known as the Masochistic M&E as it involves riding to a meet point, riding a few hours to a restaurant and then riding more hours to get DQ! (Oops, I guess I just accidentally posted a date! Sorry Blackjack, Fly-N-Lo! Oh well, we'll call this date tentative!)
  9. It's interesting how burn-outs are done around the world. I like the American V-8! But the last on is good too! (Could it be Clay18 in disguise?) Burnout_International.wmv
  10. Although I agree that this law is totally wrong, it looks like they are leaving themselves an out. Unless I'm reading this wrong, per sections a & b, they reissue your license good for the regular duration of your license, just without the mc endorsement. (I tried to copy and paste that, but couldn't make it work) Can they take your license if you are from out of state?

    MPG and cold

Like Walter Brennan use to say, Jack, "No brag......Just fact". I Breath, Therefore I Ride.

    MPG and cold

OK, just to bust your chops a bit: What do y'all in SoCal. know from cold?!?!?! Are you talking,.....what? 60 degrees?! I came home from Bike Night last Thursday and I saw 28 degrees on my mc thermometer!
  13. Well, they can't cure that yet, but they can control it with stuff like Coenzyme Q10! I think it helps with the itch.
  14. "Course y'all know that it would take a "1st genner" to handle that kind of country!
  15. Here I am, an innocent VentureRider, trying to help out a new fellow and you land on me with both feet?!?! I'm not feelin' the love, man! Just see if I stay in your spare room, let your wife fix me an excellent dinner, and let you buy me coffee in the morning any more! You tell 'em Buddy! !!!
  16. :rotfl: :rotfl:
  17. OK Thanks A Lot For Nothing, Bill! [/size]
  18. Hey,Cmon! I ride an Intruder! I'm not feelin' da love, man!
  19. Hey jt, I'm just happy that he's starting to talk right! Now we just got to get him to celebrate Robert E. Lee's and Sam Houston's birthdays and we'll be doin' OK!
  20. Welcome to the site, Clay. You'll find a lot of good info and even better people here! If you have made sure that the bulb is good (sorry, but I had to ask!), then it is very likely a soldering issue. Mamayama is notorious for cold solder joints that tend to give up after only a couple of decades! I went through this with a friends 83. We tried a new "reserve lighting unit" at about 120 bucks, ran a hot wire to the bulb with a separate switch on the dash, then took that switch out and used the power from the stock switch with 2 relays and unplugged the warning light. What finally fixed it was taking out the main brain that is in the dash, pulling the circuit board out (make sure you ground to it to protect sensitive electronics in it) and re-soldering the connections. I think that there is a post here someplace about this. Or maybe it's just about re-soldering the CLASS. Same procedure though. Here is a link to the CLASS repair to give you an idea. If yours is a Royale, you may need to do this with the CLASS air system at some point too. Good luck!
  21. Are you talking about RedNeck?!?!?
  22. Hey Budman, Have a Great 08! http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_6_38.gif
  23. I don't think we can run out of prayers on this site! Lots more coming from Ga. It's great that Ron and the family are alright. And sad that he lost those classic bikes and all else. So much that can't be replaced. But more good news: I foresee alot of of new stuff coming his way from the local power company! Heck, now he can replace that Ultra with a first gen and go fast! Remind the Snake that we're here for him, even if he only needs to come here and vent!
  24. Hey Brad! I guess either you were down here to long or you bounced on your head in the crash, now your posting with a southern accent!
  25. Hey Brad and Lonna, I just realized that even though you went down in the median, I figure you guys are VentureRider ASSes! (Asphalt Surfer Society) We are working on the patches and you now deserve one. The only patch that you don't want, but that you wear with pride! (Because you still can!) http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_1_213.gif
