Our son was home a couple of weeks ago, telling us how popular they had become. We drug out our metal flake, bubble sheilds from the basement. He about died when he saw that we had gotten a custom painted "logo" on the lower back of the helmet. Said that he'd love to take them off our hands and resell them. I thought he was joking! Don't know what the "originals" sell for but he sure got a bang out of seeing them.

Has anyone else heard of this? THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION PROVIDED TO US BY AT&T. DON'T EVER DIAL AREA CODE We actually received a call last week from the 809 area code. The woman said 'Hey, this is Karen . Sorry I missed you--get back to us quickly. I have something important to tell you.' Then she repeated a phone number beginning with 809 We didn't respond. Then this week, we received the following e-mail: Do Not DIAL AREA CODE 809, 284, AND 876 THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION PROVIDED TO US BY AT&T. DON'T EVER DIAL AREA CODE 809 This one is being distributed all over the US . This is pretty scary, especially given the way they try to get you to call. Be sure you read this and pass it on. They get you to call by telling you that it is information about a family member who has been ill or to tell you someone has been arrested, died, or to let you know you have won a wonderful prize, etc. In each case, you are told to call the 809 number right away.. Since there are so many new area codes these days, people unknowingly return these calls. If you call from the U.S. , you will apparently be charged $2425 per-minute. Or, you'll get a long recorded message. The point is, they will try to keep you on the phone as long as possible to increase the charges. WHY IT WORKS: The 809 area=2 0code is located in the Dominican Republic . The charges afterward can become a real nightmare. That's because you did actually make the call. If you complain, both your local phone company and your long distance carrier will not want to get involved and will most likely tell you that they are simply providing the billing for the foreign company. You'll end up dealing with a foreign company that argues they have done nothing wrong. Please forward this entire message to your friends, family and colleagues to help them become aware of this scam. We're not much for tourist trap stuff but when we rode out with our son's a couple years ago....we took the train ride at Keystone. It was worth it, if you've never ridden one. Whatever you do, don't miss Needles highway and Spearfish Canyon. It's breathtaking!!! Got stuck in the middle of a buffalo herd at Custer and one charged our son. Scary to say the least. When your in a cage it's one thing...but on bikes you have no protection. We can laugh about it now, but his hands shook for a couple hours after the incident! If your in the mood for something other than a motel, we stayed at a cabin that was right off the main rode that had a bar and restraunt. The cabins were only 2 years old and for the cost (We had 6 of us total) it was cheaper than renting a couple of motel rooms. The owners were very nice!! Mystic Hills campground is the place. http://www.mystichillscampground.com.

Hell isn't even close to what your going to catch, buddy. To begin with.....the wifey doesn't need a passenger seat as she has a sweet ride of her own. Next, it's the wifey who makes sure all chrome is spit polish clean on both bikes. Finally, it's the wifey who would rather ride than stop to eat.

Guess who would be the one moving the planks and who would be the one sitting on the Venture, with a big smile on his face while the wifey moves them?

60 would feel like a heat wave!!! I've been sittin' here tryin' to figure out a way to get it down there without having to load it up on the trailer. (The trailer's under a couple feet of snow right now) Gary loves a challenge so maybe he can come up with an idea. Got my snowpants and eskimo outfit ready....just waiting!

The hubby and I usually start riding when the temp's hit 35-40 degrees. Forecast say's 41 for today through next Tues, but with this much snow, I doubt it will feel like that going 60 mph. Problem is, we've got a long driveway and a lot of snow. If we could just get the bike down to the road, we'd be fine! At least the blood's starting to pump again just thinking about riding again. I don't know about you...but I've been in a schlump since last November. It's been a long winter and it's time to get back on again and soon!

Just wanted to let you know we're thinking of you!!

We had our 3 sons in infant swimming classes and I'll never regret it. It was scary to begin with because your natural instinct is to "save" them. It's amazing how fast they learn. From there on out we made sure they took swimming lessons every summer. One of our twins had a close call when he was 15 in a lake, and I'm sure things wouldn't have turned out so well had we not forced them to take lessons.
