  1. Hope they get it this time Tom. I have a very good idea what Taters is going thru....my oldest son dislocated his left elbow, and broke the forearm in two places. 30 staples, 8 pins and a sheet of surgical steel later..plus 3 days in the hospital......but, 3 weeks less a day today, and they cut the cast off, pulled the staples, and told him that all looks good. Mobility will be another issue according to the doc. Kurtis says his goal now is to prove the doc wrong and get all of his mobility back......now that's my BOY! Good luck to Taters!!! She is going to be fine. gunk:bighug:
  2. I have a backrest and brackets from my 96 if they'll fit. gunk:hihi:
  3. I stopped at Tim's in Kingsville, ON...but no cookies for me:no-no-no:.....the weight loss plan is beginning to take effect, 5 good lbs. since Christmas....shooting for 190...down to 205 or so now. The coffee sure was good though...and warm!! gunk:hihi:
  4. Thanks once again for your efforts Don. I've ordered 1 large t-shirt for myself, Beth has decided to pass(she'll regret it later). I'll pick it up on maintenance day. gunk:happy34:
  5. Full coverage, $1000 deductible for both my bikes, the 04 Midnite Venture and the 96 royal star was 1189 from TD. Aviva wanted 1036 just for the Venture. gunk
  6. I don't know if AAA is the same as CAA...but with the "Gold" policy with CAA, as long as the policy owner is with the bike, they'll tow it up to, geeez, I THINK it's 275k's or so.....so, for just over $100 a year, Beth has CAA on whatever car she is, and whatever bike she is on. Might be worth looking into over there with AAA. gunk:smile5:
  7. We are going to celebrate being the host country with the most gold medals..... We are going to celebrate gold in both women's and men's hockey....... We are going to celebrate the best closing ceremonies in the Olympics history...... We are going to celebrate participating in our most memorable winter Olympics...... Then, tomorrow, we will resume being CANADIANS, we won't shove our accomplishments into our American neighbours faces, (even though some may like to) We will continue being the BEST hockey nation in the world, for the time being...... And we will continue enjoying having the 2010 Winter Olympics in Canada, the land of true patriot love, the TRUE north strong and free......Yes, we are just as proud of our land, as our American neighbours are of theirs. And we will continue to enjoy having the U.S.A. as our neighbour, and our FRIENDS, no matter what the sporting event or occasion. It was an awesome Olympics, one that neither of us will soon forget. Even in death, and triumphant wins, this will be an Olympics that Canadians will NOT soon forget, and we hope, all competitors from around the world. We have set the record of 14 gold medals this Olympics. a mark to be strived for by the many athletes to come in the 2014 Winter Olympics, not matter where they are played out. (Go Russia!) Will Bill DeMong remember these Olympics? Will his new fiancee? I think so. And so will millions of people around the world. Let's not allow a few simple hockey games to drive a wedge into our relationship,...let's build on the relationship that we have developed over the last few hundred years, and keep it growing as it has in the past. So....here's to FRIENDLY rivalry, and maintaining and growing relationships developed over the years and in the future to come. Well done...to our neighbours the U.S.A., and all of the other participating countries!!!!! gunk:bighug::bighug:
  8. Who rules?????? Who rules???? Nice try to our American counterparts.......but at least for this Olympics....we RULE in hockey, both Women's and Men's..........do you know the words to O Canada??????? Go CANADA!!!! gunk:confused24:

  12. How difficult was it to install? I am somewhat tool savvy, but not real good with electrical issues. Thanks Buddy gunk

  15. Hey Ian: When you get the shock in, my ramp is always available to you at anytime....and I've got all the tools here to do the job, including air tools 'cuz I'm lazy and I wanted them! gunk:happy34:
  16. Did the tail....lemme see, 5 times, and most of the Snake 1x. The Cherahola (sp) 1x, the entire Blue Ridge Parkway 1x...if you haven't done it, put it on your "bucket" list.....not a bad road, great scenery, great folks, food, cheap gas...and the list goes on. Git 'r done!!! gunk p.s. - beats those northern ontario pot holes hands down!!!
  17. Beth and I were at Honda Homecoming in Marysville a couple of years ago, near the end of the day, and we met a pin stripe artist from West Virginia I believe......we hummed and hawed, and turned his generous offer down. Regretted it ever since! You can bet we'll be in line for some pinstripes this year!! Great stuff Don, keep up the GREAT work! I certainly appreciate your efforts! gunk:bowdown:
  18. Hey Everybody!!! Condor is coming to maintenance day in Ohio with a whole bunch of full kegs of beer!!! BEER!!! Yahoooooooooooooooooooo, the swamp monster will have LOTS of company in the pond this year! gunk:happy34:
  19. I'm in the process of "soloing" my 96....I'm going with a studded leather piece on the rear fender instead of the rack, the studded leather compliments the studded leather bags. I don't have any pics yet, the bike is still apart, but when it's done I'll have some pics to post. gunk:shock3:
  20. I don't have a "sh*tty" outlook on life anymore, not since my "eyerectomy". Not sure what that is?? They severed the cord that connects my *sshole to my eyeballs, and voila.....the "sh*tty" outlook is GONE!! gunk
  21. I appreciate everyone's opinion on this matter, and I respect that opinion as well. As I stated in my earlier post, they work, plain and simple, they do the job. FOR ME. I don't know how or why, nor can I explain how or why, but on my Venture, they work. I can't/won't bash anyone for their opinion on a topic which I am interested in, but I will try to offer what I feel are opinions on something which I have tried, experienced or otherwise had some experience with. Good natured ribbing is totally acceptable, and something which I also enjoy. As stated in my earlier post, they are working great in MY bike, and when I have the opportunity to change my tires, which should be this riding season, I will inspect the beads, and then make what I feel will be a "more educated" decision on whether or not to continue their use, based not only on their appearance, but by following threads such as this. Kudos to V7 Goose for raising the issue, and to all who have contributed to what I consider to be a very valuable thread. gunk
  22. Hi Kent: I've been running the Dyan Beads both front and back in the Venture for 2 seasons now....and no issues thus far. Smooth, vibration free running. I am interested to see the condition of the beads when I change out the tires, I currently have over 16,000 miles on them. Then the decision will be made as to whether or not to continue their use. Good info on your part, and thanks! gunk
  23. I installed the same ones on my 96 royal star, no issues what so ever, and I have a set of the unpolished ones on my 04 midnite venture, no issues what so ever either. gunk
  24. You can mount it where the existing Yammie horn is on the throttle side of the bike down by the exhaust. Carbon One sells a bracket that makes it fit like a glove, he also sells a wiring harness if you don't want to install your own. It's a slick application, almost looks factory! gunk:D
