I agree that it's a bit hard to find but when you go to the classifieds, the third blue menu bar from the top on the far right side is a link that says "Place an Ad".

Geezzz...you don't have to take your ball and go home. I understand your points...I just don't necessarily agree with all of them. Some folks really like the Macs...some don't. That's why we have choices. It doesn't bother me at all that you like them and want to recommend them but at the same time, don't get bent out of shape if some folks don't agree. Many of the things that you mention are also available for the PC. A LOT of "creative" people now use nothing but the PC, they are about as capable as the Mac now days. I call on creative people every day in my business. Mostly graphic design companies, sign companies, architects, etc. I would say that well over 90% of them use a PC. I will agree that 10-15 years ago, the Mac was the hands down favorite for those creative tasks but just as you say that the Mac is far different than it was years ago, the PC has become much more competitive than it was years ago in for those creative tasks.

I understand. I'm doing the same thing....just letting them know that not EVERYBODY thinks so much of the Mac...even some of us who have tried them.

Well no, it's really not the only reason. There are a LOT of people in this country that money is not really the object. The fact is, a lot of of people just can't stand them. I can't say that money is not an object for me, it always is, but if I wanted a Mac I could have one. Several years ago, after hearing from Mac users how fantastic they are, I finally bought one. I truly hated pretty much everything about that computer. It was NOT all that they are cracked up to be. It wasn't perfect and did lock up from time to time and required a hard boot to get it going again. I would have figured that out eventually but I didn't care enough about it to spend any time doing so. I also found that much of the software that people use is VERY expensive for the Mac. With many Windows software, you have cheaper options that will get the job done but I found that with much of the Mac software you had to pay huge prices for some of it and there were few to NO alternatives. Mine ended up being a big paper weight and I finally sold it. I know a few people who really like them but if they were so great, they would have a much bigger market share than they now do. For me, thanks but no thanks.

I don't think so. I think that they used to be Diamond Shamrock.

I tend to do left turns better also and drag more when turning left. I wonder if it has anything to do with whether or not a person is right handed or left handed? Just curious. I am right handed.

Yea, that's what most people do. I have dual Firestiks on my '99 but only one of them is a CB antenna. The other is actually a FM antenna. It looks almost the same as the CB antenna but is for AM/FM. I don't know if they still make it or not.

Hey...I wasn't trying to get you to give it up. There may very well be a demand for a lower cost alternative. It's entirely up to you. I also don't know that there is enough interest for me to place another order. I have to order at least 72 at a time to have them printed with our logo and still get a decent price.
-
Well, it is a fraction of what the ones that I buy cost. There may well be a demand for them. I don't know if it is time to place another order for the VentureRider Logo cups or not but if there is, I'll place another order for them also. I started a new thread for those. Sorry, shouldn't have stepped on your thread here.

I apologize if I'm stepping on Larry's toes, I don't mean to. The fact is though, I was just discussing this with my wife last weekend that it may be time to place another mug order. I've ordered these twice over the past few years. I think I bought 100 the first time and 72 the second time. These are nowhere near as cheap as what Larry has found though so if you are looking for something less expensive, the ones he found will certainly be a better choice for you. I tell you though, I am a BIG coffee drinker and can tell you for a fact that I have NEVER had a better mug than these JoeMo mugs. The original ones that I got were 12 oz. size. They now have one in a 16 oz. size and it also comes with a tea basket which was requested but not available for the small mugs that I purchased. Anyway, if there is enough interest for another order, I'll get some pricing together and report back. For those of you who are newer and didn't see these mugs, here is a picture of what I got before and also a link to the new larger ones that I would use this time. Thread about last order with some pictures and reviews. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=41413 Link to new larger model that I would go with this time. http://highwave.com/joemo-xl-press-release/

I don't know anything about that cup. It looks OK. I will tell you though, I have NEVER used a better mug than the VentureRider mugs that I have ordered a couple of times. They absolutely do not leak and will keep coffee HOT for about 4 hours. You can't buy them for $5.00 though.

Bad Venturerider...BAD BAD BAD..... Oh well...at least you are now getting ONE of the colors correct.

More info would be helpful. What brand are they? If you were a NEW member, then yes, you would be out of line. But being as you have been here for a little while and have made a number of other posts, that is different. It's a thin line but at this time, I don't feel that you've crossed it.

Another option is the ones from Diamond R Accessories. I've had mine for about 3 years and really do like them. http://www.diamondraccessories.com

Yes, I know how to do that but use another site to do it. I'm usually not looking for anything in particular though and not wanting to drive all over the place. I just check the ads when there and if I happen to see something that I'm really interested in, it's local to where I am.

The Tech Library is read only. The reason that you see some responses is that after the crash of the site a few years ago, I forgot to set it back to read only for a while and there were some posts made there. If you have any questions about an article in the tech library, you should just post it to the tech TALK area.

I agree. I don't think you can always go 50% of retail because most things are always on sale somewhere for far less than retail. I think that 50% is max. I would say that 30-40% would be the best range.

I always look at the local Craigslist ads when I'm traveling. Last week, I was in Chillicothe and saw an ad for a 1987 Kawasaki Venture 1300. At least there was a picture and it was clearly a Voyager.

No, sorry. They used to but they discontinued their discount programs about a year ago.

I agree...sounds very fair to me.

Both are re-usable but require a replacement cartridge, $25.00 from the manufacturer. I think the discount is good on either product. If you try to order and find out different, please let us know.

According to the FAQ on their page, it takes about 35 lbs. to pull the tether and that is enough to prevent that from happening.
