hey Bob, She's leaning toward a Honda Shadow Aero. It sits low enough she can put her feet down flat, 750 vtwin.

Tinkerbell now has her motorcycle operators learners permit. She goes to safety class in two weeks and will be on the road on her own bike shortly thereafter. Looks like we'll have to buy "safety chrome" for two bikes soon........

Ken, The cabins are east of town up Dudley Creek Dr. We stayed at a place called Gatlinburg Falls. Info here www.cabinsofthesmokymountains.com/index.php . Very nice and various sizes.

Thanks Margaret, yeah, we had a great time. The bike isn't bad off, just some cosmetic stuff. The big problem was when I thought the windshield was trashed. But even if it was Venturerider assistance would have got me one to get home. One of these days we'll get to ride down your way as we haven't been that way yet.

Glad to see you got back safe Chuck. We hit rain and heavy winds just north of Lexington saturday. It was a good move for us to leave early, wouldn't have been able to do it all in one day right now. Funny thing though, I didn't have to turn around at all on the way home..... See ya soon buddy.

We fixed that this morning and thanks again for breakfast. It was good to spend some time with you and Rose. We just got home a few minutes ago. Spent last night in Batesville IN after riding from Gatlinburg TN. Stopped in Lexington KY for a couple hours and got to see Midrsv for a little bit. Mariner Fan and Freezyrider, sorry we didn't stop to see you guys but we were ready to get home. We'll catch you sometime real soon. The windshield stayed on with no problem, maybe with some epoxy it will be one whole piece again. Gatlinburg was a great time even though we didn't get to do all we had wanted due to circumstances. I'll get some pics up later tonite or tomorrow.

We've managed to get online. thanks to all for their help and concern. I appreciate it very much. No, my windshield did not blow off. I dropped the bike and it hit just right and broke the shield. When we took it apart we found that one of the bolts was missing so the other round hole wasn't broken. We took the bolt from the broken side and used it along with 3 slots that were intact, so far it's holding fine. The bike has some cosmetic damage but nothing serious or unfixable. Yes, this is a great site with some awesome people. Again, thank you all very much.

Leaving for Indy in a little bit to meet Moose. We'll head to Gatlinburg TN for the weekend. Got a "cabin" in the mountains. Should be a good time. If it works out we'll ride the Dragon while we're there. I'll post pics after we get back.

We'll put it on the calendar and as long as work cooperates we'll be there. We had a great time Memorial Day weekend and last Labor Day weekend in that area. I'll also be posting my annual Michigan Lakeshore and Wine Country ride as soon as I find out when Sue will be going to motorcycle safety class. Looking like it will be mid-September.

Sorry to hear the news but I know it was not unexpected. Good luck in your job search. As always anything we can do for you let us know. Just happens that Sue and I are heading to Gatlinburg TN with Moose next week for a long weekend. You two would be welcome, the "cabin" sleeps 8. Looks like we'll get to see the Dragon after all.
