    Rad bikes!

Don, Ron Hannigan (Hannigans trikes) is working on a reverse add-on as we...chat! I offered free machine shop services if needed. It would be nice for his RSV trike kits as well.

Just got back from the Blue Ridge, and I ran into some wild skewts in Maggie Valley, NC...had to share these!

  6. M on my 2nd rear and 3rd front and will never buy anything else until someone makes a tire that can possibly be more reliable...may take a while
  7. I had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the Riley Hospital for Children charity ride last weekend. Part of the ride was the chance to make a lap around the Indy raceway...I held a top speed of 115 mph most of the lap, 0 PSI in the front forks, and absolutely no wobble whatsoever. I will keep the mod as is..... :225::225::225::225::225:
  8. I am going to try to make it, but my work schedule is quite hectic. But if I make it you are welcome to sit on "the beast". I rode 180 miles yesterday evening (yes, food and a female WERE involved) and the bike felt like it was glued to the road. No wobbles or anything. Oh, it still doesn't like tar snakes, but what bike does???
  9. OK, no wobbles, no problems just better control. And, for the record Kitesquid, I have been riding for 42 years, so I tghink I have figured out how to ride a bike.
  10. gib, I have the smaller Avon on the front. As for tar snake wander, its not hot enough here yet, but I did have that before I changed tires and lowered the front. I am also going to try handlebar set-backs.
  11. Hey just wanted to thank all of you that posted forums on how to lower the front end of an RSV. I used the info and lowered mine yesterday....WOW!!!! What a difference! I never thought it would change the handling as much as it did. Someone should contact Yamaha and tell them to sell RSV's w/ shorter fork tubes and Avon tires.
  12. Darn I feel little...I am 200 lbs. 5' 8" w/ a 29 "inseam...A good pair of boots and I can flat foot 'er...I see no one mentioned the tires...when you wear out your 1st set, put on Avon Venoms, and you will have another love affair with ure bike!! Had a Wing before buying mine...I am very happy with my choice.
  13. Mike, I have four 1/2" holes in the front and rear baffle plates, and it did increase the loudness. Had a friend w/ a RK tell me it sounded just like a HD...not sure if I like that!! J/J

    Car Tire ??

Tartan Terror, do you carry bike tires?
  15. Does anyone know if it is even possible for a bike as heavy as the RSV to hydroplane?? Just being curiously cautious... :no-no-no::no-no-no::no-no-no:
  16. Here's my WM lites...Had them on my V-Star as well. The switch box is on the front brake rez...Left switch on, the lamps come on when only my hi-beams are on...right switch constantly on...middle is for the GPS/MP3 player...I do have a wiring diagram if anyone would like a copy...
  17. Go to Dicks Sporting Goods on-line store. I got my mittens and socks there, and love them. I get a weeks worth of riding to and from work before they need charging. That is 10 hrs./week
  18. Can someone offer advice? I have an 06 RSV. Yesterday I washed her, and when I fired the engine, it was apparent that I had a cylinder down. Turns out to be the right rear. Pulled the plug wire and plug. Plug was wet. Took another wire off and put the plug to ground. It fired hot. Exchanged the plugs and the problem is still with the right rear cylinder. I tested the plug wire cap to ground and got a momentary resistance of around 14K...tried a working wire and got the same result. I haven't pulled the coil yet because it is like 18 degrees outside! I have a hair dryer blowing warm air on the coil in case it got wet, but so far no change. Thanks for any help you guys might have. :confused24::confused24::confused24::confused24::confused24::confused24:
  19. Check out my photo gallery "06". I've had these almost 2 years.
  20. Well, I finally got tired of bright headlights in my rear view mirrors...so, I am trying something...I put window tint masking on them...worked great this afternoon...will let you know how they do on my way home tonite...anybody ever try this?

    Nite rides

What a great weekend...saw Purdue U. kick butt...saw the Colts kick butt...saw the Pat's kick butt...and saw Jeff Gordon maintain the lead in the Nascar points standing...but...the BEST thing that happened was that I finally solved a problem I've had for a long time with my bikes... I always wished that someone would come up with a rear view mirror for bikes like we have in our cars....a switch for night time driving so we don't go blind...if this fix has been listed before now in a forum, I apologize...I put window tinting on my bike mirrors...it is absolutely marvelous!!!

  23. Oh, also, with it upside down, the bottom side magnet makes a mighty nice shield for the gas cap...I've nearly went blind from the suns reflection...but not anymore. Alex
