My first computer was a Commodore VIC-20. Now I collect old computers from people so they don't end up in landfills. I refurbish some and give them away to people who might need one. Otherwise I dismantle them and recycle everything. It's just a hobby. I also salvage some parts to build my little robots and other projects. Like the turn signals for my scoot. Otherwise I'll be in my last semester this fall for Nanoscience Technology. (http://www.cvtc.edu/pages/423.asp). I've always been a "Jack of all trades, master of none". After injuring both knees at work, I figured it was time to "master" something.

Dosen't have to be this way. When people say these things, you have to take them with a grain of salt. I'm not educated enough in the area to just say all that stuff is nonsence or all true. It dosen't help that the media has exaggerated so much in one way or another so much. Or the fact that there are so many greedy people who just want to line their pockets and don't give a hoot about the greater good. Ethanol may not be the "End all that beats all", but it certainly hasn't gotten the proper attention we need to give it.

I have the HF trailer you mention for my bike as well. I just replaced the tail lights yesterday. The ones that come with them are JUNK. I didn't make it any smaller. I bolt down a car top carrier as far back and to one side as I can. That leaves me room for the cooler up front and my folding chairs on the side. I also strap my tripod grill to the bottom. I can get a lot of stuff on there and it pulls just fine. I get some weird looks with some of the things I haul with it behind the bike though.

How well do you suppose it would work if I took the thermostat completely out? I've done it years ago on cars. Ran cooler during the hot summers, but produced absolutely no heat during the winter. I don't ride in the winter, so could I get away with it?

I really wish there wasn't so much misinformation being thrown around about ethanol. I won't claim to know everything about it, but there's a lot of potential for the stuff. It's what most people used before gasoline in the old days. Engines are being made to be compatible with this stuff that produce more power and get better mileage. It can be made from a lot more things besides just corn.

Even if I didn't like any of the people on this sight, (which isn't the case, I assure you), all the information found here is worth far more than a measly $12 a year.

I don't make enough $$$ to go to any of those dealers anyway. I have to stick to the local classifieds and Craigslist. Anybody have a Renault LeCar they want to get rid of? I need something that gets better mpg than my F100. For the rainy days anyway.

I second that!

Where do I find the information on PIP, MD, and such on here? As in when, where, and who to talk to If one was able to show? I see Black Owl is from Apple Valley, which is not to far for me. So do I assume that PIP is also in that area? Thanks, Bill

I have an 83 sitting around, and last weekend I ran into an old friend who has an old VW microbus in the back yard with a 1600. How do ya suppose a VR/VW trike would look? Who do ya suppose you would talk to to make the fiberglass bodywork? I wonder how I could run the shift linkage.

Cool, the kid and I used both Teamspeak and Ventrilo when we played WOW, (World of Warcraft). If I remember right it seamed as though we had better luck with Ventrilo. Don't remember for sure. I'll have to see where I stuck my mic later.

A sportbike coated my bike with his oil; how do I get it off?
a1bummer replied to Dave77459's topic in Watering Hole
Menards has Simple Green by the gallon. Wally World only has it in the smaller spray bottles. If I remember right that is. -
If that happened to me, and I knew without a doubt where it happened, everyone would be a suspect. I don't think I wouldn't feel very comfortable hanging out with people I couldn't trust. It's a shame there are so many jackasses hiding amongst the crowd. I would ask for my money back and tell them I would be sure to warn anybody who might be interested in joining their club. Which would suck for the good people in the club. Just another example of one JERK spoiling it for everyone else.

Whenever I ride with my brother, I see a crack. But it's not a frame issue. Glad my VR is can stay ahead of his Wing.

Wow. I got about 7000 on the rear Avon that was on the bike when I got it. I rode it pretty aggressively. I replaced it with a Metzeler ME880 and took it much easier and got only just over 6000. I was told by the dealer that it would last much longer. I put a match on the front later. I don't like the way they feel either. Going back to Avons.

I've still got the one I built for my 84 sitting here collecting dust. Pics of it are on that link up above that randya posted.
