The clear protector pieces that screw into the bottom of the fairing on each side to redirect air flow are pretty scratched up & I'm thinking of replacing them. Anyone know if you can get those in a smoke color? Just wondering...not a big fan of the clear pieces.

OK, just for a minute let's all pretend we are in the camp that thinks Dyna Beads work. Wait for it...are we there yet? Good, Here goes. Being a cheap bas$#&d, I was just wondering. If Dyna Beads work to ballance your tires, why wouldn't BBs work just as well at 1/10 the cost? Easier to recover and reuse in your next tire change too. Of course they would have to be installed at the time of the change. Just wondering. Opinions?

I bought a lift adaptor from someone on the forum and have had no issues with it. Don't remember even what I paid , not really caring. Friend of mine saw one on ebay for about 55 bucks. Just wondering if anyone is familiar if they are of the quality that our member makes them?

We are finishing up a vacation to South Padre Island with my son, member ajlyoung1221 on this board, and family. This afternoon I followed a Venture over the bridge onto the Island. I am wondering if it might have been a member here. By the way - we are having a GREAT time!

I have a '99 RSV and in this off season I want to update my bike to make it more comfortable for my wife (rider). Wondering what suggestions you guys have and what you have done to make it a little better. Wondering about armrests. Are they work the effort? How about other suggestions? Thanks, Scott....

Hi everyone, As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I purchased a new to me 2004 Royal Star Venture from a person in Calgary, Alberta. He is the second owner and when I asked him who he bought the bike from, he couldn't remember. I have an idea, but I'm not sure. I am just wondering on the off chance that someone in Calgary might know and be able to pass the information to me in a private email. All I want to know is if the bike ever had the valves and brake/clutch/ fuel filter changed. The bike has 52, 500 kilometers on it and I would like to know so I can get that scheduled to be done. The fluids all look clean so I am wondering. I realize it might be like looking for a needle in the haystack but I thought I would try. Thanks for your help. Chris in Red Deer, Alberta

My bike felt sluggish so when it was cold I started it and sure as heck the front right cylinder was cold so I took out the plug, which is almost new and I use only iridium plugs, and checked for spark and had it. I am wondering if there is an easy way to clean out that one carb and not pull the whole Assembly, I always use seafoam and marvel mystery oil so I do not understand why the carb is plugged. Tom

Hey folks I am in the process of changing my rear tire. I got it off the bike and thought I would clean and grease the drive hub, splines and pins. I have a tube of Super Tech Moly grease from Walmart in the shop and was wondering if this will do the trick or should I go get something else. thanks

Hi gang possibly heading to Portland Oregon next Thursday, :scared:This trip is to buy an engine for one of my project bikes a 1983 VF1000f Honda Interceptor. I had a trans problem, had replaced it's broken bits ,but it didn't do well in the assembly. So I found a replacement with it's (oh the dreaded second gear sound familiar!!) So while I am traveling down ,I was wondering if there are anyone who wants to together on the way? This was suggested by Rocket (Paul) That some parts for my Venture may be gleaned from this together so any:stickpoke: takers? Thanks Mike in Calgary..

Met up with a bunch of the FJR riders (about 50) at the Rio Grand Gorge in Taos NM, during our ride last week. One of the guys (The leader of the group) had a car tire on his rear. I was just wondering if any Venture riders did this. I know some of the Gold Wings are know to do this. No I'm not thinking about putting on on my first generation Venture.

I wondering if it's worth trying to repair my left hand dashboard piece (piece that radio sits in) or if anyone has one in good shape here. I didn't see any listed. I was wondering if I could back it with some type of aluminum and glue the pies together. But then I would have to add on some type of screw down plates too cause they have cracked off (seems typical place for these to crack over time). I don't know how hard it is to find good plastic anymore. Didn't see any on ebay either. Wood

I am looking at one of their tachs right now and I know Baron's has a seperate controller for single fire ignition that will correct an error on RPM's displaying incorrectly. I believe we are a dual fire if I am not mistaken. Just wondering for those who may have installed an autometer tach if you had to use a controller to adjust rpm. Thanks
