    Virus 360

My wife got virus 360 on her laptop. Does anyone know how to get rid of it? tew47:95:
  2. This is just a heads up for anyone needing to renew or add any endorsements their driver’s license. The wife went into the GA DDS (DMV) to take her motorcycle permit test. She passed with flying colors. Great, right! Well, when they went to add the endorsement to her license, something popped up on the computer. NY had placed a hold on her license! They not only said they couldn’t add the endorsement but that her GA license would be suspended until she got the hold removed by NY State! Here’s the kicker, we haven’t lived in NY since 1981 and she never had a driver’s license there, only a permit and never had any tickets or violations! After wading through the bureaucracy we found out the hold was for an “unsatisfied judgment” from an accident in 1978. Apparently we were sued for an accident we were in and never received the summons to court since we moved several times during those years. It’s been a month since this happened and we’re still trying to get this straightened out from 1,000 miles away. Meanwhile the wife is stranded with no license out in the middle of nowhere (we live in the country). I guess I don’t have to tell you how that is going over! In light of her problems, I decided to check with NY and see what they had on me. Lo and behold the have a hold placed on me also for the same issue as my wife. They also have me down for “failure to answer a summons" for a speeding ticket in Livingston Co. NY in 1981. When I checked with them, they had to dig through some old boxes and found the ticket 68 mph in a 55 mph zone. The hell of it is is that I went to court as scheduled and paid the ticket so someone either didn’t do their job or the pocketed the money! I can either plead innocent and travel 1,000 miles for trial or fax in a guilty plea and pay the fine. Guess which one I chose! Who knows how long this will take to get straightened out. The only good thing is that my wife doesn’t work so we aren’t suffering financially from this. We both renewed our DL’s two years ago so I know this data sharing between NY and GA is something new. My assumption is that it is probably something to do with Homeland Security and the push for a national driver’s license and ID. My advice is that if anyone may have similar issues, to check it out before time to renew your license so you have time to straighten it out before your suspended and possibly lose your livelihood. Also, check it out with the state you USED TO live in like I did. If you check it with your current issuing state and they find something you’ll be in the same boat as my wife. Sorry about the book but this can’t be explained in one paragraph.-Jack
  3. Met a rare person yesterday, she came all the way to Brantford to see me, she laughs, talks, walks, hugs and is real. She good looking, pleasant personality, has some good comebacks, and hangs with an awesome guy. Too bad you all won't get to meet her on the weekend. Her name is MARY, and she's not contrary, fact is, she's real nice, or did I say that already. No she's not my new wife, Marca is still with me (don't know why) she came with GaryN. I just think he wanted to show her off to somebody important (why did he pick me?) man,,,,,, I could have scared her off for good. All said,,, what I said is true and I'm looking forward to see more of those two this summer,,,by the way, she likes to ride.
  4. My wife, son and I, as well as my Brother in law and his wife and daughter are strongly considering going on a Disney Cruise in October or November. Many of you know my son has a severe Heart Defect, so while I can't really afford it I'm doing it anyway. We don't like to fly so we will probably drive. Here are my questions: 1) Anyone ever rent and RV? Would like to rent it to get down to Florida and then rent one again to get back. 2) Any other ideas so we could all go down together? 3) Anyone been on a Disney Cruise? If so, Tell me your thoughts please. Thanks
  5. Does the carbs on a 1990 Virago 1100 have accelerator pumps? Reason I was asking is because I went to look at one last night and before the guy cranked it up, he rolled the throttle wide open several times before he tried to crank it. It cranked right up as soon as he hit the starter switch but it seems useless to roll the throttle open if it doesn't have pumps. It seemed to run out well and I bought it for a Christmas present for the wife....haven't gotten it home yet...trying to surprise the wife Christmas day
  6. I thought I'd share these with you...... My wife sat down on the couch next to me as I wasflipping the channels. She asked, 'What's on TV?' I said, 'Dust.' And then thefight started... ____________________________________________________________________ My wife was hinting about what she wanted for Christmas. She said, 'I want something shiny that goes from 0 to 200 in about 3 seconds.' I bought her a scale. And then the fight started... ================================================================== When I got home last night, my wife demanded that I take her someplace expensive.... so, I took her to a gas station... And then the fight started.... ____________________________________________________________________________ My wife and I were sitting at a table at my high school reunion, and I kept staring at a drunken lady swigging her drink as she sat alone at a nearby table. My wife asked, 'Do you know her?' 'Yes,' I sighed, 'She's my old girlfriend.. I understand she took to drinking right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear she hasn't been sober since.' 'My God!' says my wife, 'who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?' And then the fight started. ________________________________________________________________________ THE BROKEN LAWN MOWER When our lawn mower broke and wouldn't run, my wife kept hinting to me that I should get it fixed. But, somehow I always had something else to take care of first, the truck, the car, playing golf. Always something more important to me. Finally she thought of a clever way to make her point. When I arrived home one day, I found her seated in the tall grass, busily snipping away with a tiny pair of sewing scissors. I watched silently for a short time and then went into the house. I was gone only a minute, and when I came out again I handed her a. toothbrush. I said, 'When you finish cutting the grass, you might as well sweep the driveway.' The doctors say I will walk again, but I will always have a limp... ________________________________________________________________________

    home

My oldest is home for the holidays. He has 30 days leave. The wife is already happier. All is good. It has been a rough year for us. Our daughter has abandoned her two boys here 3 yrs & 18 months and is pregnant again and living with said puke. Needless to say wife and I are stressed but hanging in there. Best thing is that he brought his new V-max home to leave it here for storage. Seems the Armys regs are becoming too strict for him to be able to ride it. So here it will sit {except for a occasional romp by yours truly}. YES!:thumbsup2:
  9. just a quick question. Without getting electric gloves what do you guys and ladys out there use to keep your hands warm? My wife and I rode tonight at 32 degrees and that was the only problem area for me. What gloves are recomended? Thanks in advance. David
  10. The wife and I are flying/driving to Pittsburg, NH in January to go snowmobiling. Anyone know this area?
  11. I had to post and boast about the Volusiariders. I KNOW how generous our own group is and always will be, and I have the honor of saying that my other little family, in 2 days, provided enough funding to allow a Volusia payoff for a gentleman of ours that has been stricken with severe back pain and unable to work, going thru a couple of surgeries to correct the problems. He had his bike up for sale, but now he can keep it and we will be providing funding for medical bills as well. His bike was very special as his wife bought it for him for Christmas. When I think of all the poker runs, toy runs, memorial and educational runs we participate in, beyond our own private fundraisers...I think we should be able to hold our heads proudly and take our bike stuff off for taxes. I love us! Brandy
  12. Last night my son and his fiance tied the knot. The girl he married was as beatifull as the angle she is.From day one three years ago his bride had made herself a part of the familly and almost instantly became like daughter to us,so welcoming her as part of the familly was easy seeing as how she already had become a part long ago. Of course my son could not for go getting me in trouble with my wife one more time. He invited me to go outside for a drink and a cigar. I am not or ever have been a smoker and my wife detests smoking and my wife caught me smoking, she was not pleased to say the least.Other than that the banquit was great excelent food, good music and a wonderfultime was had by all.
  13. After taking a trip or two with my freshly gutted stock pipes I find that the sound is really annoying to both my wife and I. If anyone has a set of stock mufflers that they want to sell or trade for a set of gutted ones please contact me.
  14. Today the wife and sons packed 1 Belted Galloway beefer and 2 pigs into our 2 meat Freezers. We raised these animals ourselves and had em done for the Freezer this week. Now all of our Freezers (4 total) are packed with good meat and our own garden veggies. The dry Larder is full of great stuff the wife canned this season as well. It's gonna be a battle keeping the weight off once I put the bike up for the Winter..........
  15. We just did a hundred mile ride on my "new" 07 RSTD and my wife was miserable on the stock pillion. A year or so she had in injury to her tailbone and this stock pillion is just not going to cut it. Ladies - what pillion seat do you find comfortable for the Royal Star Tour Deluxe? We just moved from a C-50 Boulevard that I had Mustang seats on - and I had gone to great extremes to make sure we were both comfortable - but I don't want to go the Mustang route with the RSTD. Any recommendation for my lovely wife would be greatly appreciated.. Shep

    Road trip

:Venture:This Saturday, the wife and I, are heading out from Birmingham to Sylacauga. We are hooking up with Crooked Creek Riders Club, about 20 bikes, and heading all back roads up to Chattanooga, TN. Depart Sylacauga at 7:45am, arrive in TN about 5 hours later and staying at the Town And Country Inn....the plan from that point is to wash up, and get ready to meet down stairs in the Bourbon Street Restaurant & Bar to watch my Tide go up against the VOLS at 6:45 on ESPN. Sunday departure time approximately 8am. The return trip will take us through the valley of Little River Canyon as well as a scenic route through Fort Payne, AL. Should arrive home in the garage by 3pm. Which is plenty of time to clean up, and crash on the couch. The wife and I both pretty excited about it. Should be a great trip.
  17. On Sunday my wife and i were riding back to Orange Park Fl from Macon Ga.. when i felt something poke me in the back , and then something was ticking on my helmet Now here i am at 65 mph rolling down the road,, Then it dawns on me... i ask my wife " are you by chance knitting right now" and she answered " yes i am " ... i about wrecked laughing !!! leave it to my better half to find a way to knitt or quilt no matter were we are.. By the way if you ever see a 2000 M/M venture rolling down the road with a rider taking pictures of everything or knitting just wave:crackup: and dont wreck laughing
  18. As we all know life has a way of throwing curve balls. Mine came in the form of a daughter starting in college, moving to a new location, wife has a degenerative back issue. I'm not complaining, because I truly am blessed beyond what I deserve. That being said, I have a 2006 Black Cherry Venture for sale. This bike is in great shape, only 7500 miles mostly highway. It has a lowering kit (because i'm only 5'7" i felt more comfortable lowering it), luggage rack for the trunk. Misc add ons. New tire at 5000 miles. Kelly Blue Book says it worth 11,500. Brad and Lona saw my wife and I after we bought the bike new. We were on our way to Colorado. We ran into them in Lusk WY and then again a few weeks later in Worthington MN. I put less than 500 miles on the bike this year, it just isn't getting used. I'm looking for a fair offer. I live in Worthington, MN (SW corner of the state) Thanks for reading. Bob
  19. Since the wife wanted something DIFFERENT for our 25th I waited to the last minute(nothing new) and had her follow me to drop off truck at repair shop and took me to bike shop in town(called ahead to get them to go along) to pick-up a part. Before we left home she informed me that she will probably be laid-off in Dec. so DON'T spend any money??????????????OOPS!!! So my old helmet box was brought out for her and of course she thought it was a new helmet. Had to remind her after she thanked me (boys thought she would cry) that we had to take it BACK because she and I would be laid-off for a few months---bet you guessed what her answer was!!! Then she told me that she didn't buy me anything because we didn't have any extra money after redoing renovation on livingroom so I just figured OK maybe later. Nope !!! Waited untill Sat, and boys took us to Brantford for supper and after desert wife went to go to ladiesroom and got down on her knee and handed a box to me(rather fast so noone would see her) and asked me to remary her----I said no but reconsidered really fast before I got hit. Rest of the night went really well as there was asupprise party waiting. All in all it was great and ready for another 25.
  20. What, blue and black Venture. Where, southbound Md 2/4 going over the Patuxent River bridge. When, around 1:45 p.m. Was this you? If so, you were spotted. For a small fee I won't tell your wife you were riding :Venture:without her. Just kidding I was just hateing the fact that it was nice and I wasn't riding too! There won't be many more nice afternoons before old man winter comes calling!
  21. Met a nice gentleman by the name of Dave K that is the sidecar technician for Hannigan Motorsports, Murray KY http://www.hannigantrikes.com/content/home.html . He and his wife was at the store this morning. They were heading home after being at the Hack'd www.hackd.com reunion held in Buckhannon WV. Said they should be one next year the same time sorry for not knowing about it until it was over. I asked the wife about riding in the sidecar said she loved it and would never ride on the back of the bike again (she has a bad back). Her sidecar has air conditioning but no heat. And of course I took a couple pics. Said they work on alot of Ventures there too. Maybe this information will help someone.
  22. I have axillary switches for my driving lights and extra tail lights. When I forget and leave them on when I am just piddling around town after about the 3rd stop the battery doesn't have enough juice to start the bike. On the highway, no problem, but I've been caught 3 times now and my wife is getting bored already with rescuing me. Any fix for this besides an better memory? Iowa Guy
  23. Took my wife out for a ride and to supper. One the way, just as we were about to pull in the steak house parking lot. My trottle cable broke. I guess it was the cable. Haven't had time to check it out yet. Called around looking for trailer to get it home, no luck. Sat down and had a nice supper with my wife anyway. As we were walking out I had an idea. i turn the idle way up(3500 Rpm) flipped on my flasher and idled on home. Beef is brain food!
  24. This may have been asked and answered already but I can't find it. When I plug in my headset, listening to the radio, MP3, whatever, my mike is always open. I get outside noise, if I cough, hum, or sing with the music, I hear it through my headset. Is this normal? Is the mike supposed to be open all the time? When my wife is with me and hooked up, both our mikes remain open. Mmmm, got to be carefull thinking out loud Thanks. Looking forward to your replies.
  25. Dear Abby, I've never written to you before, but I really need your advice on what could be a crucial decision. I've suspected for some time now that my wife has been cheating on me. The usual signs… Phone rings but if I answer, the caller hangs up. My wife has been going out with the girls a lot recently although when I ask their names she always says, "Just some friends from work, you don't know them." I always stay awake to look out for her taxi coming home, but she always walks down the drive, although I can hear a car setting off, as if she has gotten out of the car round the corner. Why? Maybe she wasn't in a taxi? I once picked her cell phone up just to see what time it was and she went berserk and screamed that I should never touch her phone again and why was I checking up on her. Anyway, I have never broached the subject with my wife. I think deep down I just didn't want to know the truth, but last night she went out again and I decided to really check on her. I decided I was going to park my Yamaha Royal Star Venture next to the garage and then hide behind it so I could get a good view of the whole street when she comes home. It was at that moment, crouching behind my RSV, that I noticed that the head gasket my engine seem to be leaking a little coolant. Is this something I can fix myself or should I take it back to the dealer? Thanks, Randy
