Charlene is back in her room now, surgery went well, they removed 3 discs and put in 3 cages to fuse the vertabrae, she is a little sore and using the pump to stay relatively pain free. Next surgery is on Thursday, when they insert the rods and screws to straighten her spine. Please keep the prayers coming. Thanks Lewis & Charlene

I realized today that I didn't want to ride to Big Bend on the cheapy emergency tire I got on my last trip. Doh! I ordered a tire that should arrive Thursday. What are my mounting options? I want to do the Texas Honor Ride this Saturday. Are there any weeknight options that can get it done between now and this next Thursday, when we leave for Tom's and Big Bend? Maybe I should buy the Harbor Freight setup and do it myself? Can I take it to an auto tire shop and have them do it? Or do I miss the THR so I can have a motorcycle place do it Saturday? Dave

Any place recommended for a nice dinner in Allentown. I'm thinking $15.00 a plate or less. Co says not to splurge whatever that means.I'm not staying two nights in Secacaus NJ so I booked a room at the Best Western in Allentown for Thursday night. I got MamaMo along for the ride Co paid her way to keep me out of trouble!:whistling: So HOOTERS IS OUT.

Well I rolled in about 2:30 yesterday afternoon after seeing folks at the Hub Wed and Thurs and my brief stay Thursday night in Eureka Springs. I would have got home earlier but at one of my gas stops two teenagers had locked their keys in the car and the cops wouldn't help because the car was in their parents name??? Go figure. So I spent awhile and finally jimmied it open. They were very appreciative. It was sure was great to see folks at the Hub. Made me wish I had been there all week. A big thank you to Ray (colesgranpa) for leading the ride Thursday with Swifty (sorry if I held you back ), Dan and Snarley It sure was beautiful, except for Bill HE IS NOT BEAUTIFUL It sure is nice to be a part of such a great group. Well, I tried! Humm, it is in our garage with the key in it! A new Venture Rider member in Columbia came by for Sleeperhawk to check out his 2002 Venture with 22,000 miles! After a carb tune and Sleeperhawk taking it for a test ride, Wagmwake's bike is in great shape! Soooo, we have another riding buddy here! By the way, check out my new cup holder! Ordered it last Thursday and the guy shipped it out the same day. I got it today and Sleeperhawk put it for me! Thanks, Barefoot Willie's! Now I will stay cool on the way to Ashville this weekend!

All seems to have went well with the septoplasty. Nose is quite swollen, but no black eyes or anything like I thought I would. Constant drainage sucks. Painkillers taste AWFUL! Go back in on Thursday to get these sponges out. Then I go back on the 7th. to get the stents taken out. I hope everything feels better for the 4th. of July weekends camping trip up to Madeline Island.

OK folks, we are getting closer to the WV Skid-In II. The wife is wanting to know about how many and when everyone is going to be here. She is cooking Thursday evening and we need an idea about how many to expect. Everyone had plenty to eat last year, so don't think anyone will go hungry. Please plan to attend, as this was an excellent time last year to socialize with everyone. Food should be ready around 6:00 p.m. Please take time to complete the following questions.... 1. When do you expect to arrive? 2. How many to expect for the picnic Thursday evening?

I am sooooo sorry to tell you all this, but i had a motorcycle accident on thursday evening in florance,sc. i have a broken right wrist and a broken right thumb. the bike is hurt but the trailer is in good shape. what happen is the trailer started to fishtail and the bike with trailer went out of control. pictures will follow tomarrow bryan lay

Greetins all, I got up to take our dog out at 5:00 AM today and I thought I overslept clear through to November! We had a bit better than 1/2" of snow on our deck. This past Thursday we had record temps, 90 degrees F. Oh, well, guess I will install the mufflers I bought from AtlantaDragonSlayer. It is still just 34 F outside. I HATE WEATHER!!!!!!! Dave

I just ordered a Kumho today from a local dealer for $50. It should be in tomorrow, I'll put it on after I have it balanced Thursday morning. Does that make me a Darksider? \

For the Asheville ride on Thursday, Randy said he'll lead us up to Chimney rock. If you'd like to go up let us know. If you don't wish to go up we'll need to know that too. (Oh by up I mean up on top of chimney rock.) I don't want folks to be sitting around with no idea what to do next. Some won't be there till thursday or friday. I know that sleeperhawk and the mechanic might not be there till sat. Mother is coming down from Canada with his wifey and he said something about 4 so not sure who else is coming with him. Can't wait to see you all there. This will be more laid back then some of the other events. I'm thinking that we can meet over at the super8 in black mountain to get everyone together on thursday. Probably around 8 maybe a bit later like 9 I'm not sure what time folks are coming in the night before. Then we can eat on the road for lunch. I'm still planning on going to saluda as well. Just have to see what sort of interest we have for any of these rides. I do know that cinderella isn't coming. I wish they could it would have been great seeing them again, but I understand how stuff gets in the way. Margaret

I know a lot of you have ridden this area and I was looking for some recommendations on rides. I am leaving Wichita next Thursday (6/12) and riding to Eureka Springs. From there I was thinking of taking 23 south to I-40 then down the road to 7 and taking it back (suggested routes in "favorite roads" section here). Any favorite routes for members here? Looking for a good full day Friday, and perhaps and interesting route home Saturday. Also interested in hearing about your favorite campground or good places to eat. I will be camping Thursday and Friday night. Heading back on Saturday. Thanks!
