Anyone have an old rear shock (still in working condition) laying around not being used, from maybe a trike conversion. I need to replace the one on my '99 but I do not have $600 to spare right now. If i could find a used one that will get me by until I can come up with the cash for a new one, that would be great. I'm not asking for a hand out, I will pay a reasonable price for a used one. Can anyone help a brother out???

Question for the board. I have the oportunity to purchase an original style seat for my 2003 Midnight Venture. I currently have the corbin seat (came with the bike). What would be a fair and reasonable price for this seat. It appears to be in excelent condition.

Hello all: I am looking for a windshield for my 2001 RSV. I would prefer one that is near stock height (+ /- an inch or 2 is okay) that is in reasonable condition. A vent would be a plus, but at this point I am not really going to be extraordinarily picky. I am, of course, willing to pay a fair price for what you've got (although I wouldn't argue with a donation either ) So if you have changed windshields and have an extra one collecting dust - please let me know. For those of you that have purchased a clearview shield and took off the plastic before you realized that you probably wanted something else, now is a good chance for you to get the shield that you've been wanting while letting your older one go to a good home! I was hoping to get a new vented clearview but I just cannot quite make that happen at the 200 bucks just yet (not to mention the 4-6 week wait time -- since I am looking to go on a trip in a few weeks) so I was hoping that someone may have something in reasonable shape that they would be willing to part with. Let me know if you have something laying around or whatever. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you in advance!! Rick M. -

Yes I know it sounds like one of the kids, I need, I want, but I am looking for the black plastic tank ignition cover on a Venture. The one that surrounds (at least part way)the gas cap and the ignition switch. I was wondering if anyone out there has one they will part with at a reasonable price. I Have an 85 G1 and have purchased a hitch from ebay for what I thought was a reasonable price. BUT its only reasonable if it fits. I dont want to pull a trailer with it, but i do want to add a cooler rack from Rivco. Can someone have a look and tell if this will work or not as I dont have the rear bumper light bar on my bike. I think I may have to add a couple of stabilizing bars from the hitch up to the frame of the bike behind the side bags. My navigator and I are planning a last minute get-a-way for next week. We want to go to Hot Springs Arkansas. We will probably stay for two nights before coming back home. Does anyone have any recomendations for a good, reasonable, safe place to stay? And...while in the area what would be a "DON'T MISS THIS" thing to see or do??? Any and all ideas are appreciated. Mike

Hello all, Does anyone close to the TwinCities (MN) have a carbtune that would be willing to help me sync the carbs on my '89? Else, recommend a shop that will do it for a REASONABLE amount? I called a few shops and all the quotes I got were between $120-$160. Thanks, Eric

Hi Folks: I have a friend that dosen't have a computer. He's 78 and loves the 1st gen venture. We found him an 85 in very good condition but he needs all three rotors. Does anyone have any to sell or someplace reasonable to get some that are in good shape? Wayne

Got to thinking about it when Sledgehammer changed his name. Well, it seemed kind of awkward if someone were to shout across a parking lot, "Hey u-s-s-45!" so I thought about it and decided to switch names and Switch sounded reasonable and had a good ring to it so Freebird was good enough to change it for me. My plastic cracked because I had too much oil in my shocks. Now I need the plastic that holds the CB and Air ride gauge. I'd love to find one for a reasonable price. Anyone know where I can get just the plastic? -
I went to the junk yard and got two identical screw jacks and welded them together end to end. The jacks where pretty reasonable. Here are pictures with some measurments.

I need to change tires on my first Gen. Guy wants $260 for rear tire and $125 labor to replace. WHAT? I think this is outrageous. So. I look at the tech library for tire removal (http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1393) My question - is this a reasonable thing for a non-mechanic to do - a regular sort of fellow who doesn't know a lot about engines, frames, suspensions and so forth but can turn a bolt?

Anyone interested in a 2000 MM RSV? I had it on the website several months back before the server crashed and never got around to putting it back on but I'm seriously thinking about selling my ride. If anyone is interested, let me know. Price is negotiable, make reasonable offer. It's in like new condition with many extras. I have a trike and too many other things to do and it rarely gets ridden any more.
