Just saw a sweet, sweet, practically showroom 1st gen for sale. Tried to get ahold of the owner for some questions but he didn't answer. I'm guess it to be either a 92 or 93. It may be a 91. The blue is rather blackish from a distance. It's got 65,000 on the clock (don't know if it's 165,000 I was going to ask. I'll post some photos I took but this thing is sweet. the worst thing I could find on it was that, maybe, and I mean maybe, there's some sun fading to the back of the trunk but it's hard to tell. Looks like a brand new Avon Venom on the rear and about 30 to 40% left on the Avon Venom front (can't really judge). I'd be willing to do some leg (seat of the pants) work for someone if they want to pursue this bike. I'll post any other information that I find out from the owner. Guy's name is Randy.

I bleed my clutch today and I got all the old fluid out that I could by doing it this way. The bottom of the reserve looked like liquid lead in it. I took a rag and got all of that out that I could. The fluid looked like strong coffee or a pepsi. The clutch slipped a little bit today when I went to pick up my son from school, but it was better than yesterday. I am going to try to post a picture of what the fluid looked like. Is there a better way to change the fluid than the way I done it? If so let me know. Appreciate the help. Thanks hairman

OK folks, you will likely notice that I am testing a new feature here. If you don't like it, just say so and it can go away quicker than it showed up. When you are posting a new message, the software will search for similar topics already posted before you submit your post. It basically works the same way as the current feature that shows a list of similar threads AFTER you post a new thread. This one will do it before you post though so that if your question has already been answered, you may find it before posting again. This should really help those of you who aren't so good at searching. It may be irritating to some though so let's try it and then let me hear your feedback. By the way, after you type your thread title and see the list of similar threads pop up, if you hover your mouse over each of the similar thread titles, a pop up will show you a summary of that post. Can I use a vacuum/pressure gauge test kit instead of a carbtune? Will this give better results than the carbtune? Any other ideas? I am going to try to post a picture of one that I found on ebay. Thanks hairman

OK folks...I honestly don't know how else to say it. I've put it in the site information, I've pleaded and begged, I've always tried very hard to be nice in the way that I request things of you. I honestly don't ask for much but one thing that I have ALWAYS requested is that we refrain from political discussion here. Some folks just don't seem to get it though. In the 4 1/2 years that this site has existed, I think there has been ONE single member banned. OK...there have been some spammers banned but I'm talking about legit members. Most of you have been very respectful of the very few rules that we have here. There are however a small handful of members who just can't resist making a political statement anytime the slightest opportunity presents itself. It might be in response to a joke, a casual post, whatever but they just have to do it. Some seem to think that they are so smart and witty that the political implications of their post will fly under the radar. Let me assure you, it doesn't happen. I read every single post made to this site and in fact, I have it set up so that ever single post is emailed to me. I can promise you that I watch these things. I try very hard to be fair and I often let things go until I see a war starting to break out but have become less tolerant as time goes on. So, there have been plenty of warnings, nice requests, begging and pleading. I simply cannot continue to allow a handful of folks to continue to push the envelope every chance they get. You are all intelligent people and you KNOW when you are doing it. Don't send me emails or PMs asking if I am talking about you. You KNOW if I am or not. As much as I despise the thought, I'm not going to continue having to dance around just a few people. Those who continue to abuse our few simple rules are subject to being banned from the site with no further warning. This may seem extreme but if it happens, you have caused it to happen. This applies to everybody, regardless of their political affiliations. If you are Democrat, Independent, Republican, conservative, libertal, whatever...this is not the site for it. This includes not only posts on the forum and profile pages but also avatars, signatures, etc. The only other major thing here is that the site is PG rated. I know that there is a big difference between PG rated and G rated. I'm not trying to make this the Disney Channel but some have gotten a bit lax in their language and jokes. Please help me to get these things back under control. You are the greatest group I've ever had the pleasure of being associated with. This message applies to VERY few of you.

Just wanted to ask if anyone would be interested in bidding on some items I have left from "Tail of the Dragon" @ Vogel 2007. Does anyone ride with a shorter wider windshield? I am considering the purchase of a wider and shorter tinted shield but i'm not sure I will like riding on long trips with it. Also I am not sure of the way it looks. If anyone here rides with one can you please post a pic, and tell me what height it is possibly? Maybe some pro's and cons of it too? When I post to someone and am waiting for an answer. I have to back out of the post and go to another than go back into the post I posted to and than I can see a new post. Is it just me and some sort of a setting I need to make happen? In other words, I can't receive any new post if I don't get out and come back to the same post.

I was woke up this morning by the leading report on Good Morning America about the record rainfall, snow melt runoff and record flooding in your area that's going on. I immediately thought of you and our other members up in the NorthWest corner of the country. Please respond if you can and let us know if your safe and out of harms way. Or if not what I or others of us can do to assist you if your in trouble. Until I know I'll just pray that you and your family are Ok and out harms way. As I'm sure others will be doing that are reading this post.
