Here in north central Wisconsin my Venture sits from around Dec 1st to April 1st. Sometimes I can get it out in the winter for a warm day, but then I have to wash the salt off. Always have wanted to move south for a longer season. Even at 55 with 40 years of riding and 300,000+ miles, I still love that first ride. This year it was 66 miles on March 14th. Whats the best part of the country for the longest season?

My plastic cracked because I had too much oil in my shocks. Now I need the plastic that holds the CB and Air ride gauge. I'd love to find one for a reasonable price. Anyone know where I can get just the plastic? -
need ideas on what is the best way to hide the ugly black harness that came with it? What color wires do I want to hook into? Once that is done, my Stebel also came!!! I love spring--now if it would only get here! Thanks! Mark -

Four days from now will mark a year since you left for Heaven. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you and weep for the hole in my heart. I know that you are at peace now and your demons are finally conquered. As the day draws closer, I still wonder why this all had to happen. What could I have done to prevent this? I know in my heart that when God wants you to be with Him, that it is time. That doesn't make it any better. We all still miss you so much. As the saying goes "time heals all wounds" but I'm not sure that I'm healing too well, just coping a tiny bit better than I was a year ago. The day to day struggle with life has gotten better, but oh how I miss my best friend and partner. There are so many things that I wish we could have enjoyed together this past year. You would have loved the Colorado Rockies and the trip into Canada. Even though I know it would have been too hot for you! I have plenty of pictures and memories that I will share with you when we see each other again. I'm so happy that you got to be a part of this club. They are more than a bunch of Yamaha riders, they are truly our family in the finest sense of the word. Without the love and friendship that I have gotten here, I don't know how I would have made it. I know that every time I get on the bike that you are there with me and watching over me. Even when I do something stupid you are there for me, and I still do plenty of stupid stuff. The pain will always be there but the good memories are there as well and all I have to do is remember them to bring a smile to my face. Until we see each other again, always know, I love you Debbie.

You take a breath of winter air And your nose is frozen shut. Yes, the weather here is wonderful, I guess I'll hang around. I could never leave Ontario, 'Cause I'm frozen to the ground.

Well i had a 97 cbr1100 at the start of last years riding season that a winter of customizing done to it. Plus i drag raced it. My dad took it for a ride and a 10th mile away from the house he totaled it doing 25mph. Well that's the short version. Now we have the star love the bike. Will have this one for a long time. Breaking records for warm WX this time of the Winter Season in Louisville KY. The wife and I rode about 100 miles yesterday. Found a new German Cusine Restaurant and had lunch. (Love German Food, spent 5 years over there) Waved at LOTS of bikers. Was glad to see their bikes weren't put away either. My '08 RSV is just a little tall in the seat for my 29 inch inseam, but I love it anyway. I just have to be careful when I'm walking it on my tiptoes during parking. We rode South on highway 31W for about 50 miles to Elizabethtown KY to a "Peddlars Mall" that had leathers, but none would fit us just right. But we had a good time and that's what is important. At age 65 I have finally figured out that there is NEVER an end to the list of things that need doing. Therefore, I now make some time every day to have some fun. Keep Safe Everyone!

hi all, new to this site, presently ride an 02 suzuki volusia which i absolutely love but an looking at a nwe 07 venture blue/black and their price is 13,900.00 I think that's a good deal in that that is quite a drop from 17,300.00. Anyway have sat on one with wife on it and we both fell in love with it, I would like your thoughts on the weight balance in town riding and relibility of the bike it. also being it is a 1300cc how is the power in low gears as well as on the highway passing high gears. thanks and you all have a great website. brian d.

O.K. all you deer hunters out there....for many reasons I have had to hang up my bow for this deer season...just too much on my plate. I am going nuts not being out there sitting in the tree.....I would love to see any pics anybody has of any deer that have been harvested this season. I will try not to drool on the keyboard.

Ok how many of you have got your children or Grandchildren into the love of riding Ventures? Frogman and I have already gotten the son into the love of riding so much that he wanted to dress up in his biker gear for Halloween. In most things he uses the name Venturepirate. Taken from his love of riding on the 84 Venture (the Red Baron) with Frogman and his interest in pirates.

was just sitting here at my computer and got to thinking , what a great bunch of people i have met on here over the last few years. i always look forward to seeing and commununicating with every one on here , even when there is a little controversy. i still love you all and can't wait for the season to open next year so i can ride with you all again.just want to say thanks for being there to make my day brighter. :clap2:
