You gotta have long arms to reach all the way from Texas to Georgia, but you did it. Thanks for all your help. I was going to take it out on the road today, but got called into work before I could hitch it up.

I bought a trailer hitch on e-bay and it came taken apart now I have no clue how it goes on, I am no dummy and very mechanical inclined but this has me stumped as to where the sliding cinch clamps go.

Anyone now where to get a trailer hitch for a 2007 RSV for a reasonable price?

http://www.harborfreight.com/automotive-motorcycle/trailer-trailer-accessories.html?p=2 Anyone using this Tag-Along trailer from Harbor Freight? Have you swapped out the lights for LED, and if so how was it done? Any repainting to match a tow vehicle? The price they have it at now minus the 20% off coupon makes it look like a pretty good deal. Also, any hitch recommendation for 2007 RSV? Trailer has 1 7/8" hitch.

My 01 rsv has a hitch on it, looks like a venturedad one but I do not have a stinger for it. So do I buy one from wally world that is solid or do they make a hollow one like the 2" on my truck. Richie R

What is the best place to get the hitch and wiring harness? Is there a "best" hitch? Saw the postings on the wiring...reluctant to take it on...should I be?

Anyone have a Bushtec hitch for an 08 RSV that they would be looking to part with?
-
I'm hoping to pick up an 08 Bushtec Roadstar trailer this weekend. Now I need to start thinking about a hitch? Bushtec hitches are "pricy"...and not the "attractive".... What/who's hitch do you recommend for an 08 RSV pulling an 08 Bushtec Roadstar trailer? Will the hitch accept the same PIN required for a Bushtec trailer?

I made a reciever hitch for my bike. Since I have all the stuff to make one, I did. Anyway a friend of mine was helping me, and we decided we needed a reciever hitch cover. He used to demo derby a lot, and had some odds and ends lying around. He came up with an emblem off from a 1964 Chrysler Imperial. It is perfect, and a great idea. It works pretty good. I am not going to pull a trailer, but made a small rack to carry a cooler. I did test load everything to see where to place all my stuff before heading on a trip for a long weekend. Next thing is to test ride it. Here is a few pics!

ok just what does this thing called a bank sensor do? and the boost sensor do.? reason im asking is the bank one one mine looks like its not connected? i see a plug type plug in 3 wires on it red, green. and i think a blue colour? but dont see where it goes? unless some one had a hitch on this bike at one time and its a trailer conector? as this is close to the rear back by the end of the bike left hand side?

Well I've been out in the shop again. We're getting ready for our trip to Alaska and decided we needed a little more storage room on the bike. I made a receiver hitch and luggage rack and bolted on a 15 gallon Rubbermaid lockable plastic box. A couple of LED trailer lights completed the project. Not too pretty but functional.

I need the 2 bars that slide inside the mounts and the hitch. I also need the 2 vertical brackets and U clamps that come up from the chrome tabs. Any one have these or know of a source for Markland parts? If I really have to I can fabricate all of these parts, but it would be a lot easier to just bolt the right stuff on.

I saw a thread that I cannot find now. It was a handy step by step instruction with pictures for a Markland hitch install for a 1st gen. There are some details in the install that I just can't quite recall. Iowa Guy

I am looking to mount a flag pole on the back of my 01 RSV. Now, not wanting to re-invent the wheel, I quickly browsed the forum and saw a post from I think Goose, but his mounted to a trailer hitch that had a square reciever. I have a "Denray" trailer hitch, so its just a bracket that bolts over the axle and is bolted down at the muffler brackets. The ball simply bolts through a hole at the end. Has anyone made a pole with a hitch like this? Please keep in mind, I don't weld,(don't have the equipment). I would be flying a 3x5 flag and probably highway sppeds, 70 or so, possibly for about 40 miles? Any ideas?

I own a Bushtec Trailer with about 10,000 miles on it. Just bought 2003 Midnight Venture. What hitch would be the best for this bike? Of course I can buy a Bushtec hitch but some others LOOK better. Any ideas?

I know this has been posted before and I see where some have got them from Venturedad but I wasn't able to find a link for it. I would just as soon give somebody from the forum a shot at it first. Thanks

Does this hitch look like the correct hitch for a 1985 Venture? You help is very much appreciated.
-
OK hope I do this correctly now that I located where to start a thread. Bought a used Markland hitch for my 87 VR that was suppose to have came from same ride. Hitch doesn't seem to line up. Looks like you use the rear floorboard bolt and the rear saddle bag frame bolt, Does anyone have this hitch, pictures or an instalation PDF. thanks Trevor

:puzzled:Is anyone using the Verticle Hide A Hitch from Diamond R Accessories? If so, are you pleased with the function and looks? It sounds like a great idea. I was just curious about clearance, how visible it is when the receiver is removed, and how the safety chains would clear the fender. It looks like they will be hooked up and under the fender...

Is Venture Dad still making and selling the trailer hitches? If he isn't, does anyone out there have one for sale? Thanks
