Yes I am still cleaning. I found some more printer ink that I will give away for the cost of shipping. This is for an Epson Stylus printer, C64, C66, C84, C86, CX4600, CX6400, CX6600. There is 1 each Black, Yellow, Cyan and Magenta. Cartridge numbers Black TO44120 Color pack TO44520 It is new in the package.

OK gang, another update on the continuing changes to my beast; I painted the bike gray with clear a couple of months ago. I also painted the windshield trim black. I like it a lot. However, the top-box and 'bags looked huge in gray primer. One of the new BMWs has its 'bags painted black on the back-half. I think this makes them look smaller. Here are pics of my two-tone top-box and 'bags . . . What do ya think?

hey everyone, i would like to plan some meet and eats and short rides for my aera in nc for 2011. theres alot of senic roads in area and was wondering how many would be intrested in this. i also know the owner of the sleep inn in black mountain so if anybody would like to try this motel out next time theres an event in town just let me know.

Well with a little help from Carbon one making the adapter plate we were able to get the trunk at least mounted to see what it looks like. I think it will look pretty good after trunk is painted to match. and the backrest and armrest are redone in black also a good cleanup of the chrome and mounting bracket. What do you all think?? The detachable backrest is straped to the back. Joe star4772 If anyone needs anything done I highly recommand Larry Carbon one He is just amazing.

Finally got some pics up of my new trailer. Its called a Tag-Along. Made by LilThoroughbred Trailers in Arkansas. They come with white wheels but I fixed that! My Beast is painted and re-assembled . . . .Finally! Paint Color = Machine Gray with clear coat Gloss Black Painted = windshield trim, mirrors, radiator trim "Tire Shine" on dash panels and other black plastic The saddlebags and top box are still in primer. I hope to get them painted soon. I think I will go for a lunch ride . . .

I've been a member for a few months but have never posted. My ? is this.. My (new to me) 89 venture has developed a problem. After my 2000 mi. trip to the Black Hills I noticed oil in the overflow tank. What would cause this? Blown Headgasket? Or is there another way? :confused24: -
I have been cruising the BMW forums and notice they swear by the Metzler 880 for the K1200LT touring bike. Oh yeah they complain about the same stuff we do...like top heavy, slow speed handling and a whole other set of problems I know there is several members here that has not had good luck with the Metzler 880 on the 2nd Gen Venture. Seems they have a tendency to chunk rubber off at some point. Some members here love them and would not use nothing else even when they hear of others problems. I am kinda scared of them since more than one of our members report the chunking problem. I always thought maybe it was the weight of the bike causing some of this problem...but the BMWK1200LT is not that much different from the Venture. Running weight of the BMW is 853lbs. RSV 869lbs Is it the horsepower...Venture about 98hp-BWM 116hp. Why is it the BWM folks never seem to have problems with this tire? Any ideas? Also my son's 2010 Raider (730lb bike) has a set of Metzler 880 on from the factory...and in the owners manual they strickly recommend nothing but this tire. 120/70-21 210/40-18 Metzler 880. By the way...that 113 ci Raider is one of the most uncomfortable bikes I have ever riden...feet and arms out front...back bent over, you would never touch a back rest if you installed one...you look like a C riding it. But it will get up and go...but I do not think there is a chance it will out run BLACK BETTY even if it is BLACK, the fastest color of them all. I tell you what...that new BMW K1600GTL sound like it is gonna be something to consider. 160 HP in line 6 cylinder with 129lb/ft torque...heck who knows...you might even be able to see the engine on it... Spy photo...of what is supposed to be it.. Yamaha better tighten thier A$$ up...I just hope it comes in BLACK when it hits the street. Looks like a FJR with a Big tour pack on it. I installed a pair of black ceramic coated Rinehart slip ons on my RSV and wow, what a a nice sound! Once the pipes are seasoned in the sound is softened and still throaty with a nice bark when you drop the hammer, yet at cruise the sound is louder than normal but not at all harsh. They look awesome on a Midnight RSV. I'll see if I can some audio / video for how they sound if people are interested. I got these at a cut rate from a Canadian company, nice!

Our trip continued today with a ride from Estes Park to Hill City SD. We took 34 down to Greeley and then picked up US85 north through Cheyenne and Lusk WY. We stopped in Lusk for lunch. I must say that the area of north of Cheyenne is very sparce of people and signs of life. You might ride for 20 miles and not have a curve to deal with. Things got more interesting as we approached Custer SD. The wife and I was out rideing yesterday in the Gaylord area and we pasted the same venture twice the first on the road to the lake of the north ... The bike was black in color.. Mine is burgenty in color... Any way just to say high....Ron

needed cb antenna black part up, well got one from someone here, what I need is help unsrcewing the black part up, able to unsrcew top part but bottom won;t turn but a little bit. black part is just plastic, very thin, easy to break, I think thats what happened to cause me to lose it. spray wd 40 down tube it to loosen it up??? any ideas out there

Got back home last night from the Black Hills....had a great time...just thought I'd share a pix of a place where we hadn't been before. It's a town (population....probably 3) called Rochford. You drive 17 miles in on blacktop, eat at the bar and drive 17 miles back out. The place was packed!

Hello Everyone: I have made so many on line friends from this site in a very short time. If you ever find your way passing through Western Nebraska perhaps on the way to other destinations such as Colorado mountains, Yellowstone in Wyoming or the Black Hills of SD. Besure to let us know you are coming. I would love to meet some of my fellow owners and riders. We are planning our annual trip to the Black Hills of SD the week before Sturgis. Ron and I stopped at the Honda dealer today to look at the new Gold Wings. http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr340/whistl/RedGoldWing.jpg They had four of them. One was decked out will about all the chrome accessories you could get and it had a big array of LED's on it. It was $30,000 give or take a few:mo money: So we looked in the used or previously owned area and found an 07 Blue and Black Venture. Can't seem to find the tubes that support the lid of the trailer while open. Any ideas where to look. Thanks in advance. the ones I have are 18" overall, with 10" of that the black tube.

Hey Everyone,,, Did my other favorite Hobby today,,, Went Kayaking in the Northern end of the Suwanee River, about 11 miles lots of deer, couple river Otters, and some cool Snakes. Saturday, I am getting on the Venture for some all day riding, down through Ocala, and back. Nuttin but Backroads. I am looking for a Black LED Brake Light wing/Spoiler for the Trunk of my 09' Venture. I have the Red & Black, I want a Black Spoiler. I'm not wanting to pay $250.00. I really want better brake light visibility & a MUCH better horn, and will knock out the Exhaust Soon. Does that Void The warranty??? ANYONE,, ANYONE?
