Just happened to see these pics in the thumbails at the top of the page. This is one of your countrymen that came to visit last summer. Doesn't post often but a great guy. We really enjoyed it when he and his wife visited. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=695

Bob, The fist clamps are perfect :thumbsup2: Have sent you a PM in regard to purchase. Thanks for posting your web site for me (in Ladies Lair) Alan was able to see them really well. IH Truck Guy, Am posting the pics you requested of sticks in place on bike: 1. Frame of outrider, at rear, where end of crutch will sit. 2. Shows stick in place. 3. Looking down between pannier and fender (handle of stick) 4. Position of crutch in place. Rubber stopper on the bottom will sit up on a slight angle, and will need about 21/4 inches in the "thingie" to fit-okay. This is all amazing-and so appreciated. My mechanic (Alan) gets up for work at 4.15am and sometimes isn't home till 6-7pm, and that's six days a week. Doesn't leave a lot of time. Thanks for the idea's :clap2::thumbsup2:

I bought a IMC Motorcom HS-G30. They work great at low speed but once we reach highway speed the wind noise eliminates conversation. We have made sure that the mics are placed up against our lips. I have a full face helmet and my wife has a 3/4 helmet. Any ideas or have others had this problem? Iowa Guy

My girlfriend is finally looking for a bike of her own... and she's not making it easy. Not only is she on a pretty limited budget at this point (around the $3K mark), she's also more vertically challenged than I am. At only 5" tall, there aren't a slew of options to choose from. However, on a trip to the local dealer, she sat on a used Buell Blast. Not only did she look pretty good on it, she could flat foot it. I'm not sure if it was the low-profile seat or the standard. Now this morning, there is a 2001 Blast for sale locally on Craigslist for $2,000. We're going to get in touch with the guy and find out when we can come take a look at it. If the bike is in good shape, the price is below Blue Book. I just don't know anything about them. I think a 500cc is a good place to start, as I hate to see her start on a 250 Rebel or the like. She's already taken the beginner's course and has her license, so she's not starting from scratch. Does anyone know if they're reliable bikes or not, for the most part? I do a Google serach, and of course, you always find a ton of negatives, but not so many positives. That's the only problem I have with most internet forums. Most people don't use them unless they want to complain, or need help with a problem. Seldom do they get on to brag about how great their bike is. Know what I mean? So any pro's or con's out there from anyone? Even if you know a guy who knows a guy that owns one, that's more than I've got. Thanks for any thoughts.

I have a 1983 Venture Royale. I rode this bike all over yesterday, went out to get on it this morning to go to church and it would not start. All it would do is every so often it would back fire. Where do i need to start? A guy at church said to start by checking the plugs. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The total donations that the Disabled American Veterans collected for rafflebike tickets is $2900!!! The winning ticket was supposed to be drawn on July 4th, but the ticket has a disconnected phone # and no address. You can't even read the name!! Don't know why the guy would make it illegible but he did. So for those of you that bought tickets, the DAV officers have decided that if they can't contact the guy or if he doesn't step forward by the monthly meeting at the post on tuesday July 7th, that they will draw another ticket. So, thank you for the support, and keep your fingers crossed.

I finally got around to putting on the Mac Mufflers. They look good and sound too good. The spacing at the front clamp is too loose. Mac is too big and/or male bike pipe is too small. (please, no comments) What is the best way to rectify this? I'm sure it is simple if you know what you are doing. And that is the reason I am asking. Iowa Guy

I'm going to order Progressive Springs for the front end on my '83 VR. I noticed that there are different weights of springs, so I'm not sure which to order. I'm a big guy and often ride two up, so I'm assuming that I should get the heaviest that I can get. Any recommendations?

Yup.... Sad Day!! I watched as some guy took her down the drive way for the last time.. I sold my `05 Aero to a young School Teacher yesterday... I didn`t want to sell her but I didn`t ride her any more and she needed to be on the road.. I almost got KBB for her, but cut the guy $200.00 ... so now its just the Green Beast in the shed.. hope it doesn`t get lonely....

Yesterday while on duty I clocked a guy on a victory vision going 74 mph while he was in a 35 mph zone. After I stopped him he said he was on the way to the hospital to see his wife. I'm not going to say weather or not I gave him a ticket:rasberry:, but I really think he was showing off for the guy on the crotch rocket he blew by!

My youngest son is 16 so we bought a ninja 250. It is a 2001 with 2500 miles on it owned by an old guy who'd bought it for his wife but she didn't ride it. I figured it would be a good learner bike for him. I test rode it yesterday and will pick it up on Wd. After putting miles on the Venture, a 250 makes me giggle. I am thinking that a 16 year old that has only moped experience but doesn't know how to shift yet, it will be just what we want. It is cute and hopefully he can't get into too much trouble. And WOW, love that green color. Iowa Guy

Greetings all, I purchased a 1984 Venture a couple of weeks ago. I found this site to do some research on this bike as I knew very little about it. Thanks for the help! I lhad to trailer it from Sioux Falls, SD to my home in Madison, SD (50 miles) as it is WAY too cold to ride in March. My question is, does anyone of you knowledgable peole have an idea where I can get an owner's manual. The guy I bought my bike from did not have one. He did give me a service manual. Does the owner's manual have any info in it that the service manual does not? Looking forward to riding when it warms up. Dave

I mentioned a couple or so months ago that the company had changed my area around. I had lost my part of New York and they gave me Indiana instead. Then about two weeks ago, they told me that they were hiring a new guy in the Chicago area and since Indiana had once been part of that area, they were going to give it back to him. Soooo.....I canceled all my Indiana trips and decided to concentrate on Pennsylvania in March. So upon returning from PA today, I had an email telling me that they had decided to give Indiana back to me and that PA would be going back to the guy that covers Eastern PA. So....now I'm back to Indiana. That's not enough though, they also decided to take West Virginia away from me so no more West Virginia trips for me either. THEN....they gave me all of Michigan except for the Upper Peninsula. I also covered Kentucky as far west as Somerset, I now have the entire state of Kentucky. So.....I'm so confused now that I no longer know where to go. Hey...with all the news lately about folks losing jobs...I am very thankful that they are just shifting my territory around.
