1. I think I'm embarassed by the fact that I say I ride a Yamaha RSMV and someone says.... "oh... ain't that the one they're still putting cassette decks in?" .... That's what it's all about... an embarassment. Apparently tho, Yamaha doesn't understand that word.
2. Cool scoot!!! ... my son has a 2003 Anniversary Edition 1200 Sporty. Neat "little" bike to rip around on.

5. I'm on a roll this week ... figured out how to install/run an app that normally isn't supported in Win7 also. We run a program here called Cisco Agent Desktop. It communicates with a Cisco VOiP phone server and our agents use it to manipulate the incoming/outgoing phone calls. It wouldn't even install in Win7. So, I set the Properties of the installer to run under "pervious version of Windows" ... it then installed just fine. I then set the program's .exe to run under "Windows XP" compatibility ... it works perfectly! What this means is... if you have older peripherals or older software that don't seem to work or even install in Windows 7, there is a workaround to maybe get them working and save yourself from going out and upgrading that peripheral / software.
6. If you're like me and have been using the same old scanner for the last 10 or 12 years and the thing works for all you need it... but have upgraded to Vista or Win 7 only to discover your scanner is not supported by either windows or the scanner MFG .... DON'T THROW IT OUT!! I almost did this with not only my own personal scanner but also one here at the office. Then I found this program called VueScan ... http://www.hamrick.com/ It will install drivers for you. At least it did for our old HP scanners. Voila` ... both scanners now work in Windows 7 !!
7. THE BLONDEMORTICIAN A man who'd just died is delivered to a local mortuary wearing an expensive, expertly tailored black suit. The female blonde mortician asks the deceased's wife how she would like the body dressed. She points out that the man does look good in the black suit he is already wearing. The widow, however, says that she always thought her husband looked his best in blue, and that she wants him in a blue suit. She gives the Blonde mortician a blank check and says, 'I don't care what it costs, but please have my husband in a blue suit for the viewing.' The woman returns the next day for the wake. To her delight, she finds her husband dressed in a gorgeous blue suit with a subtle chalk stripe; the suit fits him perfectly... She says to the mortician, 'Whatever this cost, I'm very satisfied.. You did an excellent job and I'm very grateful. How much did you spend?' To her astonishment, the blonde mortician presents her with the blank check. 'There's no charge,' she says. 'No, really, I must compensate you for the cost of that exquisite blue suit!' she says. 'Honestly, ma'am,' the blonde says, 'it cost nothing. You see, a deceased gentleman of about your husband's size was brought in shortly after you left yesterday, and he was wearing an attractive blue suit. I asked his wife if she minded him going to his grave wearing a black suit instead, and she said it made no difference as long as he looked nice.' 'So I just switched the heads.' (BET YOU DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING!!!)

In this thread (post #7) you will find info on wiring ... http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=42401&highlight=stebel ...and if you do a search for stebel, you'll find lots more info.
11. It's no wonder Yamaha doesn't bring out a new model .... they have all the sales they need of this one over in Taiwan .... we're nuffin but small potatoes!!!
12. I hear worse from my own mouth !!! nah ... I just wasn't sure if such references were or might be considered outside the boundaries of our "PG" rating ... frankly, it don't matter to me ... don't even know why I mentioned it other than for my own claification coz I got lot's of jokes I could post about this subject... :rotf:
13. I like the jokes but I'm wondering what happened to "PG rating" ???? Seems we've been getting away from that lately.... yes/no?
14. Speaking of cost to fill the gas tank .... (and not meaning to hijack the thread but...) Our gas is currently at $1.16.4 /litre (that's about $4.40.6 /US Gal) I was down to Blaine a couple weekends ago in the truck and filled up there ... gas was $3.09 /Gal. At home I normally put in $40 when it gets around 1/4 - 1/8 tank and that barely takes it to 3/4 ... I was at 1/4 when I filled up in Blaine and I topped the tank for $39 & change. WOW, what a savings! Considering our dollar exchange isn't that bad right now, and that Blaine is about 1/2 hr drive from my house, it's almost worth it to go down there and fill up when I need gas.
15. They were all a couple bikes over drooling over buddies HD Ultra....
16. BINGO!!
17. They both have the stock wind deflectors on the forks. My deflectors on the bottom of the fairing have been painted black and I put a chrome "flame" emblem on them.
18. His jacket was hanging off the seat and over the saddle bag.
19. It's so I can see where the ground is at night when I come to a stop.....
20. :rotf: You guys are hilarious! Some of you got it ... the headlight chrome has been modified. I did that in photoshop (just a real quick job so it's kinda rough around the edges). What I'd like to know is what ya'll think of the different look it gives the front of the scoot. I never did care much for that cyclops looking headlight chrome.
21. Nope... not what's different between the 2 bikes ... what's different on both of them ... different from any other RSV you've ever seen...
22. What is different in this pic and what do you think about it? (the pic editing is rather quick so kinda rough)
23. That's a good tip and without realizing it, I have found myself doing this while high-speed cornering ... makes quite a difference.
24. rofl ... happened to me a few times too and the solution always has been to walk away for a few min ... go do something different.
25. ..... you left the door wide open on that statement.... so .... to complete the statement and close the door ... "Although passing lights are not needed because nothing gets in front of us ... not even those ... uh ... whatchamacallits (first gens)"
