Buddy of mine pulled this one on me several years ago in a Walmart. I had no idea he was in the store ... guess he spotted me and as I was looking thru a rack of shirts, he hid on the other side and got me good!

I am thankful for the great family I now have which is a result of meeting/marrying Nina! Twin girls mid 20's who ar not only beautiful inside and out but very smart and talented, and two son's both near the big 40 (one over, one under), one who has recently given us a grandson and the other (mine) who came back into my life after 30 plus years of no contact. Life is GREAT!

These "mega corporations" are getting just a bit too ridiculous. Last winter when the Olympics were here, they tried to ban numerous establishments from using anything that had to do with "Olympic" or anything even remotely associated, even when those places have been using it for years and years... a very common one is "Olympic Pizza" ... been around forever yet when the olympics come here, they think can just "take over" and either make those places stop using the name or pay the olympics big bucks.

Never gets cold enuf around here to cause a problem! Having said that tho, I oftentimes have to remove the duck feet that seem to grow regularly on the danged thing!!

McDonald's changed their coffee blend a while ago and it's even better than Tim Horton's.

now that scares me ... BIG TIME!! .. to let Nina ride her own scoot. Riding a bicycle was even dangerous so for her own safety (and my sanity) we gave her bicycle to the daughter. LOL

Based on what I saw of the Cross Country versus the Vision, you can't re-position the passenger footboards on the Vision whereas you could on the Cross Country. Nina & I rode the Vision a couple years ago and her main complaint was foot/leg position being uncomfortable... yet we both sat the Cross country and she thought it was ok both for foot/leg position and passenger space. Nina is 5' 9" ... not real tall but no shortie either.

Did you try out the Victory Cross Country?? That looks like a sweet ride!

I was one of those who got a guitar for xmas last year. I got a slightly used Yamaha F310 I think it was. I started learning via on-line stuff and got familiar with about 7 different chords but was having difficulty with changing from one to the other without pausing the strum. Then my daughter (Tiffany) returned from an extended overseas trip (that was about April) and was unable to bring her guitar back from Dublin, Ireland (due to the ridiculous cost they wanted to charge) so she borrowed my Yamaha (hers was a cheap, beat-up Yamaha as well so it wasn't worth it for her to pay the bucks). I didn't see it again until late August, just before we went on holidays. Once we got back, I started practising again but I never did like the tone of that Yamaha and the 1st string always seemed to "twang" whenever I played a G major chord ... really bugged me. So, I sold it (got exactly the same price I paid for it) and then I found a really nice Epiphone that was about 13 years old and in excellent condition for not much more than I sold the Yamaha for. Since then I've been "practising" about 2 or 3 times a week for appx 45 min each. Having a blast and really starting to get "into it" some now. Changing chords is a lot better, strumming is getting much more consistent and I'm playing around with 3 different strumming patterns and have toyed with finger picking a bit. Got myself a nice strap and an electronic tuner. Haven't learned any real songs yet and as far as that goes, I doubt anyone will ever hear me sing (not so sure even I want to hear that LOL). One thing I have noticed and that is, I seem to be much better on the guitar after 2 or 3 double rum and cokes!! Anyhoo... I'm just havvin some fun and never really intend to get all that good with it. It would be really cool to one day accompany Tiff on one of her songs...maybe next Christmas I'll be ready for that.
-
I'd love to do that ... and she loves riding on the bike too... now let's see.... Nina sits behind... Tiff sits ... oh yeah, I got a trailer... now who's gonna ride in it I wonder LOL (good thing it don't look like a doghouse coz there'd be no discussion then )

I'll tell her all my "biker buddies" are waitin in line for her autograph... Seriously tho... I truely hope she'll go far with her talent. She does gigs at various places around the city but it's not consistent enuf to make a steady living at it. Lucky for her that her dad is a professional musician and entertainer.

My daughter (by marriage) She wrote and composed this and a few other songs. She's teamed up with an amazing guitarist and singer named Bobby. ... for your enjoyment. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkmWu0PI60Q&feature=related]YouTube - The Coffee Song-Tiffany and Bobby.mov[/ame]
