Easiest way to gain a few HP
SilvrT replied to shikano53's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
This won't give you more HP but will keep you in the torque curve better.... swap the rear diff for a Vmax one. You'll run appx 500 rpm higher in top gear at hwy speed and these bikes perform a lot better in the higher rpm range. -
Jason Mod question - help please
SilvrT replied to shikano53's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Chris... what's happening that you feel you need to plug the AIS and do the Jason mod? Are you getting a lot of "popping" on decel? -
I don't believe you can "paste" an image into here. You have to insert it by using the "Attachments" toolbar.

probably because it's not uploaded properly and the post can't see it because it's really still located on your hard drive. What steps are you taking to put the pic onto the post?

yep, I will agree with ya there. Few years ago I rode thru heavy deer country in the middle of the night... deer all over the place ... closest I came to hitting one was the already dead one in the middle of the road... which I barely saw in time to swerve around it!

What Canadians say on the 1st day of a Snowfall

c'mon Brian (friesman) .... we're waitin ... I just know you can't resist posting some kinda comeback!! -
If they go the route of the Strat, dropping the Venture, then in reality the Strat is replacing the Venture in the category. Now, I did not say that the replacement would still be called a Venture. That being said, they could very well take a "base" or bare-bones Strat and really deck it out with new design fairing, bags, trunk, new electrics, etc etc .... I mean heck, it might even have some similarities to a Victory Vision ..... I base my willingness to bet on nothing more than a hunch.

Mine too and that's all the reason I need! ... after all, the more Safety Chrome, the better!

Straight across trade? IN A HEARTBEAT !!! (you got one to trade?) Wait a minute.... you said "loaded Goldwing" .... but no mention of year.... I think I'll take back my words and see what's the actual "offering" first.

I haven't seen one ON the road yet either ... but I did see a pink one flying over a farmer's fence once...

according to another "prominent" member here .... that 2% are from Saskabush ... or are Newfies and Saskabushers one in the same??? :rotf: -
I've used those deer whistles for years and on multiple bikes as well as my cages. People ask me if they really work... my answer ... "haven't hit a deer yet" ... (I'm just sayin`)

I'd be willing to bet they are going to come out with something that will literally blow the competition away. They've been "sitting on the fence", secretly designing a new Touring bike and watching closely what direction the competition is going.

Cow, an Ant and an Old Fart A Cow, an Ant and an Old Fart are debating on who is the greatest of the three of them. The Cow: I give 50 liters of milk every day and that's why I am the greatest!! The Ant: I work day and night, summer and winter, I can carry 52 times my own weight and that's why I am the greatest!! Why are you scrolling down? It's your turn to say something.... . . .

Windows XP Pro - HELP!!!
SilvrT replied to wes0778's topic in Computer help and tips for using this site.
I'll answer that Q ... to configure and maintain the network infrastructure. ... To roll out new equipment .... to upgrade application software as well as operating systems ... to protect corporate privacy and security by constantly monitoring network traffic thru firewalls and switches ... to maintain and administer and automate in such a way as to achieve maximum productivity from the computing environment which includes, at least in my case, a fair amount of programming skills and the ability to see where improvements can be made .... to ensure all reporting data is accurate .... the list can go on but my point is, I'm not an IT guy SOLELY here to fix Windows boxes when they break ... if that were the case, I would not be here at all. ooooooppppssssssssss..... I think I've turned into a duracel rabbit ... -

Windows XP Pro - HELP!!!
SilvrT replied to wes0778's topic in Computer help and tips for using this site.
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... I so want to get into this "discussion" of MACs vs Windows .... but I won't. Or am I already? LOL There's no disputing that MAC's are good but .... if you haven't had a LOT of experience with Windows, then you really can't put the OS down. ... and you can't just replace a Windows box with a MAC and expect to have the same functionality...and that's a fact. (when I say a LOT, I mean having worked with hundred's of Windows machines and several versions of the OS) We have 50+ Windows machines here at work (desktops and servers that I support). Not ONE of them has crashed in 4.5 years ... now how's that for reliability??? As Brian said also, Windows makes up probably 98% of all personal and business OS's ... so naturally we'll hear more about it's "issues" .... but the fact is, MAC's are not without issues .... we just don't hear about it much. ok, I'll be quiet now as I'm really not going to get into this discussion.... -
Windows XP Pro - HELP!!!
SilvrT replied to wes0778's topic in Computer help and tips for using this site.
I found a trick to installing software that won't seem to install in Windows 7 ... run the installer in "compatability mode" ... oftentimes it will install and then run the application similarly (compatability mode). NOTE: you have to modify the properties of both the installer and the application to make them run in compatability mode. As for older hardware.... my scanner wouldn't work in either Vista or Windows 7 but I found an inexpensive scanning software that has it's own drivers ... I can now scan with my 11 year old scanner in Win 7. (so much for my "excuse".... lol) -
