  5. ...that I'm growing "duck-feet" .... Average precipitation for here is 452 mm ... no wonder they call it the "WET coast" yyeecckkkkkkkk ... (Sass-CATCH-who-won is actually starting to look inviting!) http://www.theweathernetwork.com/news/storm_watch_stories3&stormfile=winter_outlook_2010__2011_241110?ref=ccbox_weather_topstories

  8. I'm putting the one I took out of the bike into the truck.....
  9. I agree.... never use UPS ... they are a real PITA to deal with imho ... unless you're a business and even then it can be a real hassle shipping across the border.
  10. You can be happy you're not living in London, ON. http://news.ca.msn.com/top-stories/cbc-article.aspx?cp-documentid=26668979
  11. Does this sludge have a milky color? Also, like Eck says... don't switch oil from dino to syn in "mid-stream".

  14. heh... ya ... and friesman got his singing lessons from her...
  15. Thanks Eck ... I've done a lot of "reading up" on the 'net about the 2005 Silverado and all comes up pretty danged good. I think this truck will last us till long after retirement (whenever that may be lol)
  16. heck Brian, I know there's a better place than here .... and it ain't in the direction of EAST LOL all kidding aside tho, I do envy ya about the sunny days you get ... it's just that bone-chilling cold and blowing snow I couldn't handle ... I'd be more than just a basket case ... I'd be a FROZEN one! LOL
  17. you need to either upload them as an attachment or put them into photobucket or some other similar site. a link to your email account will not work.
  18. Brian... I've noticed you've said that several times .... I'm wondering if you're actually trying to convince yourself and not us ....
  19. heh... yep... I picked the RIGHT color LOL .... actually, it's charcoal grey metallic (looks black in the pic) but what the heck... that's close enuf to be dubbed a "Midnight"! hmmmmmm.... think I'll dub her "Midnight Rider" ...
  20. No, the stuff on the steering wheel ... I think that only comes on the LT or SS models ... but it's got enuf other electronic "doodadery" to keep me busy for a while LOL Even has dual mode climate control.... (or some fancy name like that) ... can keep Nina cooled off whilst I stay nice and snuggly.. I was surprised at the power of that 4.8 litre V8 Vortec engine... wow!
  21. :rotf: I lived in Tisdale, SK when I was 8 ... at that age, I guess I never felt "cold" like I do now LOL. I remember building huge snow forts out of blocks of snow cut with a saw or a knife from the snowdrifts and the fun us kids used to have .... and when spring came, running down the muddy street trying to make it to school before the bell rang.... only to realize I'm missing one boot...which was stuck in the muck 100 feet behind me. That stuff was like a huge suction... I could hardly pull my boot out LOL ... wound up being late and getting H$LL from the teacher. I learned how to ice skate there .... I was also a victim of losing everything in a house fire ... which some ppl initially thought I had started coz a week before I was sick at home and decided to pretend I was camping and built a "campfire" on the kitchen counter which burned a hole right through it before my mom got home and caught me LOL I learned and experienced a lot of things in the short time I lived in Sass-CATCH-who-won .. (some which I can't repeat here lol). Learned to ride a 2-wheeled bike and that jumping over ramps with it can crack your ribs. ... that lipstick is not for eating... lol and that ya don't put water in the gas tank of dad's car!! ... that those newspapers laying on the ground in a sack are not garbage (they belong to the newspaper delivery kid...who beat the crap out of me for doing what I did to his newspapers) .... man those were the days!
  22. no thanks ... I'm happy just to sit at my desk, snooze the day away, and get paid for it... LOL
  23. Firstly, thanks for all the input to my "What should we buy" thread. We looked at Ford, Dodge, and Chev (Nina wasn't too excited about Nissan or Toyota). Almost did a deal on an '07 F150 4x4 but it was just a bit beyond our budget. Then we found this 2005 Chev Silverado 1500 2x4 extended cab LS model with only 56,000 Kilometers on it .... whittled them down to 12,500 and made the deal ... hopefully will be picking it up tonight (pending financing). 24. I've had an '85 and an '87, now an '06 I can't say I have regrets. These are 2 different bikes (1st & 2nd gen). I liked both for different reason's. Would I buy another 1st gen?? .... not if it was going to be my only scoot. Would I buy another 2nd gen ... NO. I would probably go to a Wing or a Victory or maybe even an Ultra. Having said that and if I was bikeless and didn't have much money to spend, I'd buy nothing other than another 1st gen. hmmmm... I think I contradicted myself... LOL
  25. that's bordering on.... TOO MUCH INFORMATION!!
