  1. Thanks Kit, I will have to go and get me some of that. Keith.
  2. When doing maintainance on the rear wheel hub assembly, is it okay to use "white lithium" grease, on the splines and hub pins,or is there another type to use? I know that some people have complained about the lack of grease in this area, the white lithium looks like it may be too light for the job. I had to pry the hub out of the assy using a pry bar, it was rusted in there good, no sign of any grease from the factory. I cleaned of the pins with a wire wheel and cleaned the bore's out with a .20 gauge smooth bore barrel cleaning tool, you know what I mean the copper brush thing, lol. Yes ay info on what type of grease to use would be helpful. Cheers Keith.

  5. I copied this from my local chapters forum of the SCRC. Please read and if you wish leave a message on her web site. Keith. Good morning, I would like to ask everyone to do me a huge favor. We would like all of our members and guests to go to this website and leave a message for a special young lady. Angelica has little time left but has an incredible outlook on life. Please check out the website and her story. We are assisting on this fundraiser in the background. I have been asked to take her for a short ride on the 12th during the fundraiser to help cover the costs associated with illness. So get on there , please and sign her guest book. She reads it everyday before bed and I want to fill it up with SCRC members. http://www.azmiracle.com/ Regards and a very Merry Christmas to all of you http://people.delphiforums.com/nofear37/John_Tricia.jpg "This country has lost control of its borders. 6. S**t, I don't know how you did it, sheer brilliance. Nice job. Love the pics and the video,Cool. Sorry about the language. I love air shows, esspecially military jets. Keith.
  7. Hey Fred if you are ever in Milton again give us a shout and I will show you some good spots for a few ale, yes it is expensive but you don't have to drink as much as the American stuff, even though I am partial to a few Rolling Rock when I can get it. Keith.
  8. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhTZ_tgMUdo]YouTube - Rick Mercer - Talking To Americans[/ame] We have a comedian up here in Canada who likes to frequent the US to "talk to Americans" here is a clip from his show. Keith.
  9. Thanks to all of you that answered my call for help. I ended up following Ken's advice (thanks Ken) and contacted Garmin. It turns out that I did not have enough disk space to download the updates, this was because of the 51 MP3 files that I had on there. So I loaded those files onto a sd card then erased the ones from the Garmin and BINGO it worked like a charm, it took quite a while to download the updates though, I did'nt keep a close eye on it but I would guess it was around one and a half hours. But it's all good. Cheers Keith.
  10. Well I finally got my update DVD,from Garmin. I also had to go and get a DVD for the computer, so I could use the update, well it was all sorted the new DVD player installed,so, tonight I settled in to update the Zumo 450. When I inserted the DVD there were 2 options (1)Canada Alaska and the border states, and (2) Southern US states. I uploaded the Canada updates first, then I went back on and uploaded the Southern US states. I thought that it all went well till I tried the GPS and I could not get Ontario, so I uploaded Canada Alaska and the border States again, now I cannot get the Southern US States, I could do all of North America before I started with the updates. I know that I have goofed up somewere but I don't no where. Can any of you good folks out there help me out. Regards Keith.
  11. I suspect that the oil on the kick stand is from the breather hose that comes from the airbox. Relocate the hose to eliminate this issue. Keith.
  12. I have just returned from England after spending some time there visiting family, ( I was born there) I tip as I do here, when I visit home, and I'll tell ya, they are not insulted at all, in fact the opposite, thet are delighted, and are delighted to look after you for the rest of the evening. When I lived in England (left in 81)you would ask the bar keep to have one himself, it was customary to take 10 pence and put it in a tip jar. They do the same today except now it is about 50 pence (inflation) but you only offer that if you are flush (pay day) most of the time you don't tip, or at least never use too. Keith.
  13. Will you sell seperate, gloves vest and thermostat, or do you wish to sell everything together? Keith.
  14. I note from that website you posted that the reduction to $6.95/hr from $8.00/hr is for "Liquor Servers"... not just "servers". From reading that ....and correct me if I'm wrong... it means if you work in a place that serves food only (no liquor) then you get $8 but if the place goes out and gets a liquor lic and starts serving beer & wine then your wage is $6.95 . I really do not know the answer to this, but I would guess, that you are correct. I guess the govn't thinks that drunk people tip better!!! Even at Micky D's. Keith.
  15. No,no,no you have not offended me at all, I am sorry If I appeared to have been, it's pretty hard to offend me I am too layed back for that. You are right in what you say, ad my wife certainly does make very good tips. I was just trying to say that the Government should not be assuming that a waitress makes tips, and subsequently adjust the minimum wage to reflect this. Cheers Keith.:97:Cannot find a beer mug.
  16. Mine also broke. No problem getting one under warranty, going through the stealer, just took a while to get it. When I contacted Yamaha Canada, to ask if they could hurry it up, due to a trip I was taking, they told me that it was not covered under warranty, and told me to go to a "truck centre" and buy another one, I told him to go *#@$ himself. I did eventually get a new one, under warranty. Keith.
  17. That is correct. Keith.
  18. Hi SilvrT. My wife is in the restaurant buisness, and as I, I am sure that she would agree with you, when you say that you "believe in tipping for good service". But there (liquor servers) wages are a $1.05 LESS than minimum wage. http://www.labour.gov.on.ca/english/es/factsheets/fs_wage.html There is nothing saying that you have too leave a tip,(unless specified on the menu),and as you say if you don't get good service you don't tip we are the same. But when it comes to tax time my wife has to pay out 10% extra of her total income in taxes, because the Government assumes that she has made those tips, that are not mandatory. But that's in Ontario. Keith.
  19. Cool tat. My Daughter has one in the same spot, it is a shooting Star. I have yet to "get inked". Take care Keith.
  20. Sorry to hear of your Brothers ordeal Reiny, I wish him and your Famiy a speedy recovery. I have a selection of shotguns stored in my home with trigger locks, the key's are close at hand, to the guns and to the locked box of shells. Would I attempt to use them in if someone broke into my home, I don't think that I would have the opportunity to unlock the gun and the ammo box, esspecially if they were already in my home. If I did get the chance to "lock and load" would I be able to pull the trigger, wow, I don't know, have I thought about it......yes of course. To take a life is easy to talk about to actually do it.........I don't know. I am more good to my Family at home than in the slammer. Take care Keith.
  21. Hey Christo, did you go ahead with the "Isolation unit" or did you skip it? If you went ahead with it were did you buy it from? Keith.

K.
  24. It's been about 6 weeks now since I ordered my free update for my 450. After 4 weeks,I had not yet recieved my update, so I contacted Garmin and they told me.........." Thank you for contacting Garmin International. The V2008 DVD's are on backorder and they should begin shipping within the next 14 days. Thank you for your patience on this matter"...........
