  1. :crackup::sign yeah that:and what he said.
  2. Never have understood why any tire pressure system would not give you its first warning at 12% or less. By the time your down to 25% you've screwed up the tire! Not a smart design.
  3. Thanks for all the great posts. I finally got a chance to listen to both of J@M models and played some Boston Pops music. :wow:I can tell you that there is a huge "as in big" difference between their cheaper model and the best:banana: You get what you pay for. I did buy the best high priced model and I guess I'll have to test an EDSET another time. Thanks to all.
  4. Was I supposed to buy a raffle ticket too:bawling:
  5. Hey guys, once he gets is shock air adjusted right, and experiences the ride he won't care if it only had two cyl and an ice cream bell. I've had three wings and three RSV's and never a wing again. Long trip comfort for me is RSV :clap2:Keeping the revs up like everyone says is the key to power with thre RSV. It ain't no harley low end bike.
  6. Yo Felix, you should post of a picture of that on here when you get bored and have nothing better to do.
  7. Well now, I can tell you this about that. Ifen you get struck by a serious health problem and you are down and out for a few weeks or more, you better darn well not be at the skinny scale that 99% of the doctors want you at. No reserve at all on your bones and you'll end up looking like the walking dead and about the same color. After learning the hard way I stay about 15 to 20 above what they think I should be. Of course this is my personal opinion and not a medical one.
  8. Is J&M really the best headset? Is there really any difference between the Elite and the Performance models? Hard to believe there is not another brand out there somewhere that compares.
  9. How about you delete the "few members" as quoted that make things and issue. That would kind of simplify the whole thing. :buttkick:Dig out the roots instead of picken off the weed tops as they say. OK OK, I don't know who they is that say that, but it makes sense to a country boy.
  10. I remember them once in awhile. I think its in the Olives, or maybe whats not in the olives. I'm confused now But then again, some of my best concoctions don't use olives at times. I think. I make an Asian dry martini using fish eyeballs and I had an Arab one using goats eyes but the locals farmers got tired of their goats going blind and now they guard them more closely.:crackup:Oh, and I don't like the taste of camel milk and gin worth a flip:rotf:
  11. Fly fishing and trying to create the worlds finest Martini. I think I've reached perfection a couple of times.
  12. It was only 72 today. I hate this cold stuff. I forced myself to take a 190 mile ride today. Had to stop and remove clothes as I went along. What a pain, it just ain't worth it.
  13. This is an interesting question and I also look forward to the answer.
  14. Hey Gunk, if you were a wee might closer I'd be there. However I want to tell you that you've got a great idea there and I plan on stealing your idea one of these days and use it at an event down this way. Thanks
  15. Owns a bar? Boy I'm liking this guy better all the time:thumbsup2::thumbsup2:
  16. Boy, that's a mouthful. Wish I'd have finished law school. What really confuses me is, why when the Venture is so bullet proof 99 percent of the time, only has very few warranty issues, do they continue to question dang near everything that needs to be done on a fix-it? It really gets to feel like Yamaha wants to pick a fight on every claim you make. I am just another person that has not had a happy experience with Yamaha when it comes to them questioning every little thing you ask them to fix. Not a dealer issue most of the time, but its always, "we have to get yamaha to ok this but you need to leave the bike until we can get around to it". "and if they don't ok it, then you have to pay for us taking the thing apart to start with". Has happened to me with even much more minor stuff than this blown engine problem. Frankly I don't think this is good PR on their part. Supper warranty but if you have to fight and pull teeth every time you need something fixed it kind of ruins the whole thing. I guess I'm probably just one of a few that's experienced this but --------
  17. That time of year can be tricky. Kind of the luck of the draw. Super ride up an down but who knows, its not really spring at that time yet. I remember one time many moons ago back in the 80's, I warped the snot of out of a front rotor coming down off the north side of wolf creek. I was pulling a tent trailer and needed to slow it down fast. Got it slowed but for the rest of the trip I had a nasty pulsing when I used the front brake lever! Good luck!
  18. Yes sir, worst time of the year. Lots of sand from the road crews along the edges and some on the center line. In my opinion one of the most dangerous times of the year to get into the mountain twisty's. I was out in the cage yesterday and the roads are dry but full of sand and gravel from the road crews. If its shaded on a corner on the west side, you can count on gravel on the corner. Like has been said, watch it!!!
  19. Yes sir, you should be pumped. Looks like you got a dandy and I don't think you can add anything to it. All you have to do is ride.
  20. We have 7 inches laying here this morning and it was -2 deg at 0700. This is getting insane.
  21. I went to the Little Sturgis rally a couple of times and it was definitely an adult affair. Big turn out but a long way to motels after partying all day. As far as any real problems from bikers there, I never saw much of anything. Maybe the state troopers got tired of it, who knows. I know the car washes will hate to see it leave. Never failed to get muddy nasty and you had to ride through it after a day of heavy traffic the grass kind of got real mushy. The pressure washers make a fortune.
  22. Which blizzard are we talking about now? Here we go again and this is really starting to suck!
  23. Well I do. OK, almost always I do. OK OK, most of the time I do. I'm not going to wear one today though, that's because I'm up to my donkey in SNOW and its getting deeper.
  24. Boy, you don't have much time to visit. Been there done that and you've got 10 solid days travel it you push it. But you might be one of those younger whipper-snappers that can iron butt.
