I turn on the weather channel for locals on the 8's, that helps me decide whether to ride or cage it to work, the cold doesnt bother me, but if its rainy or frozen precip, I take the cage, I also check the local weather on the NBC affiliate before I walk out the door. I also have accuweahter on the laptop.

With what I paid for my new bike, add selling the 1st gen money to that, I could have had a 2nd gen, but then I would only have 1 bike.......why would I want a bike that everyone says is a pig in a parking lot at slow speeds:stirthepot::stirthepot:, and is not near as fast as a 1st gen:stirthepot::stirthepot:, This way I have my cake and eat it too.... -

Thats why I am still holding on to mine, even though I have a new bike keeping it company, I still like riding my 1st gen, it still turns heads, I can wait till I get started on the winter project which will include fixing all the plastic, painting and making her beautiful once again .....not that its ugly now, but I know where all the imperfections are, and that bugs me knowing where they are..........Yep they are the worlds heaviest crotch rocket..... -

They are the way to go, if you go to Wingstuff.com, they have a set priced at $59.95 plus shipping, I have purchased 3 sets from them and they are excellent for music & intercom. To save on shipping have them shipped to one of your friends in the US and then have them mail them to you in Canada, its a lot cheaper, I just mailed some shirts to Relic in Canada and it was under $7.00 to mail them. It wouldnt work, if they are stupid enuff to hang around, like after Katrina and other natural disasters where evac is ordered, what makes you think they can read...........The only thing they understand is the use of deadly force to protect your property, or you loot:no-no-no:, I shoot:buttkick:. For when he does the smart thing and moves south away from the frigid north and all that bad weather that restricts his riding..........By the time he gets here they wont make fun of his Yankee accent, he will have to stop wearing those plaid flannel shirts, they are a dead giveaway as to where he is from, they just shout "YANKEE":rotf::rotf:

Where they were, they had just come off the Atchafalaya bridge which is a little over 22 miles long, if they would have had the accident there it would have been really, really bad. That bride is notorious for speeding vehicles and no emergency lanes. Thank God they were off of it when it happened. I lived in South La. all my life till I moved to Atlanta, and I have crossed that bridge many, many times and have seen some awful accidents there..............They definitely had an angel riding with them...............

Go to work on it, hes a whiz with duct tape and J&B weld............after all look how good his bike looks now compared to after he went asphalt surfing on the dragon..............who knows he might be able to do wonders with Squids 2nd Gen................Guess he would need the industrial size rolls and buckets of J&B for that job.

You could of given us that report without mentioning the fried shrimp, fish and cole slaw..........the medicine dont get much better than that...........wish I had some of it................cant get that good food her in the Atlanta area.............That would sure make me feel better:whistling::whistling: Thanks to you and your son for being there for them, and helping them through this troubled moment.

Just read the report on Brad and Lonna, I hate it when bad things happen to good people and they are the definition of good...........Wish I was closer to you to help, but we will keep you in our prayers for a speedy recovery. If there is anything we can do from here, please let us know, Brad I will try to give you a call later, You guys take it easy and get some good cajun food in you, its good medicine..............Take it easy and please keep us posted on your progress. I had a friend who quit cold turkey like you, so what he did is instead of chewing gum or eating hard candy, he would chew on a plastic swizzle stick, he said it helped having something in his mouth all the time............ Dont know how he found time for the swizzle stick, he always had his foot stuck in there...............:rotf: Good luck Lowell............you can do it!!!!!!

Pretty much nailed it for me................:rotf: You are a Road Captain You live in the wind. You could be at home watching far off destinations on TV but you prefer to discover your own. You cross state lines like most people cross the street. When stuff happens people look to you for answers. You are a wiz with duct tape and bailing wire. Riding is not just a diversion but a way of life.
