  1. You may want to be wearing a helmet when you do that.
  2. Back in the late summer (Aug-Sept) of 2010 we were riding through Yellowstone and got caught in a snow storm, just enough to cover the roads with an inch or so, the RSV handled it much better than I did The worst part of it was the wet snow that piled up on the windshield blocking my view of the road. It was at dusk and had been raining for the past hour when it turned to snow, I had to stand on the boards and wipe the snow off several times. We made it to West Yellowstone, where we had a room waiting, cold , wet , hungry and tired. We also got snowed on earlier in the day on top of beartooth pass. I was there in '09 and it was near 100* ! What a difference a year makes.
  3. OK... if it doesn't get hit within a week then it's your turn to set the target
  4. I had thought this would have been won by a bird hunter or fisherman quickly. At everyone's request, I will set a new target.. If you remember back to summer, we had a target of you, your bike and the highest temp on a thermometer, since it's now approaching winter let's change it to the above target only with the LOWEST TEMP. Please be careful in attaining this target, frostbite or falling on the ice is cause for disqualification. Happy riding.
  5. :rotf:
  6. Yep, this forum does cost WAY more than the $12 I was led to believe when I joined. I'm always reading about others upgrades then saying to me self, I gotta do that too :mo money: Kinda sounds like you have more invested in the lights and horns than the bike cost !
  7. What is it with you and LIGHTS ? First the house, then the car! What's next? Please don't mess with the big light in the sky.
  8. Is there a difference between a coal and wood burning stove? I have an air tight wood stove in my Heatilator fireplace. The stove is firebrick lined.
  9. I sent a request for a demo ride. Don't think I'd buy one but I will try it out.
  10. Groundhogs are skittish, sneaky buggers, the best way to get them is to learn there habits which isn't hard, they seem to have the same routine day to day. Setup as far as possible from them, with a clear straight shot with a safe background incase you miss your shot. You need to be waiting for them, be a still as possibe because they will run if they see you. I stand in our indoor porch with the door already open waiting for my shot when it sticks it's head/ body out from under the barn wall. We get 1 and another takes it's place within day's.

  12. Go back to the scene tomorrow and look for the blood trail. If you hit him good he's probably not to far off the road. They run a little way then lay down, usually they'll bleed out while laying there. Sorry about the truck. That's an expensive way to get venison.
  13. Or what you get from the bad girl down the street I got IT, now how do I get rid of it?
  14. "IT" What you are when the cute girl down the street tags you
  15. Since it's hunting/fishing season in most parts of the country, let's go for you, your bike and a deer, bird or fish that you or someone else bagged. Hopefully not gotten with your bike.
  16. How's this?
  17. Wishin' I had this weather back about now. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8aLbF-TrRA]Freebirds MD 2011 Video.wmv - YouTube[/ame]

  19. It's not Sombra, It's SARNIA
  20. Waiting for IH corp to send a marine tow truck to fix your broken truck again.
  21. But aren't work lights a flood light? not a beam that would reach out into the darkness?
  22. Here in Michigan it's not that big a deal to get a VIN, You build the vehicle, apply to the DMV for a title, they set up an appt., take it to a state police inspection station along with all your receipts. They do a safety inspection and if everything's OK they issue a VIN tag that you apply to the body or frame. I have done this with 2 dune buggies that I built.
  23. 15 K for a new body made with today's coated steels and more precise assembly methods isn't a bad buy. I wonder, does it come with a VIN number or would you need a state issued VIN tag ?
  24. My buddy that lives outside of Red Lodge, Mt has so many lights on the front of his Yukon it looks like a Locomotive with it's mars lights on. Turns the darkness into daylight for almost a mile up the road, yet, he has still hit 2 deer.
  25. Or, I know where there's a 52 Buick that would be a prime candidate for a ground up resto. Everything's there, glass, trim, interior. very little bad rust. The guy wants 3K for it.
