  1. Booked into the Presidential suite. Now all we need is for mother nature to co-operate
  2. Looks comfy. Add AC and stereo and she'll be riding like the Queen.
  3. OK....FINE.....be that way. A FRieND woulda said OK BUDDY, whatever ya want
  4. Naw, that would be a major step backwards for a 2nd Gen Rune.
  5. That's the part that I don't understand. When it switches to F and starts counting it is very erratic, I may go 5 miles and it shows 20, the next time I may go 5 miles and it shows 120. What's up with that? I get gas after riding 10 miles or so and it takes 4.8 - 5.2 gallons.
  6. Would ya like to borrow my chisel and power washer Aren't you glad you had a windshield !
  7. 3/4" plywood should do it. When I have a load that extends onto the tailgate I don't rely on the support cables, I use ratchet straps from the latch pin to the latch. Buying another project?
  8. JOE... Try and get a hotel with a pool & hot tub. Gotta have somewhere to consume my favoriite beverage
  9. You're right, this is a family forum
  10. What happened to that photographic memory of yours ? Forgot the film EH? Saran wrap will protect you.
  11. 2 here
  12. I like the concept, could it be the base for a new Valkrie ?
  13. I'm happy the damages to you and the scoot weren't worse. I did the same thing years ago on the shadow, same situation, same result. I am now very cautious with my front brake when the roads are wet. I tend to ride like a grandma when it's wet now. " I have a bad habit of using the front brake only, when my feet are up on the highway pegs and I get too lazy to move them" I am guilty of this also, but, under normal driving conditions it's not much of a problem.
  14. NO GAZEBO'S in AMERICA ?
  15. Jeannie and I did our demo rides today. I thought it was a fun little machine. Took about 10 minutes to get used to shifting while still on the throttle, acceleration was good but not what I expected, that may be because I was on the touring model, not the sport. Has all kinds of cool features on it. It has a nice ride to it. Steering it reminded me of a snowmobile with about 15" of carbide on the ski's and lots of studs (like it was on rails) . I'd consider one for a second bike but I wouldn't trade the RSV for one. Jeannie on the other hand LOVED IT and wants one now , of course she hasn't rode a Wing trike yet so we'll see. Met up with Carbon One (Larry) and star4772 (Joe) , grabbed a bite to eat then a nice backroads back into town.
  16. Ray C's in Lapeer We have an 11:15am demo time on Sunday.
  17. Such as ?
  18. 105 pages of fun and now you want to change tradition
  19. I'll be there on Sunday, I'll ask about that suspension.
  20. I'm easy. What ever works for the masses is ok with me. Spend the night somewhere around Cheboygan. There's a nice Hotel with riverfront rooms there http://www.fleetwoodinn.com/index.php We have stayed there several times, it's a nice clean place with reasonable rates. Just a short hop into Mackinaw City and the Tunnel of Trees M-119. OR we could head west and hit M-22, them M-119 with a stop at Legg's inn. Just throwing some ideas out there.
  21. Is that a spray bomb you're holding behind that antique Karl ? :rotf: would that be the one you pick with ? Good enough for me Name your target
  22. Would the plan be to just ride till we've had enough then find rooms or, are we going to make reservations ahead of time? When could everyone get away to go? Friday morning or ....
  23. Now I can't wait for my turn Sunday morning.
  24. Jeannie wants to know if Deb and Joyce are going. The dates Joe suggested are good with us.
