    I weigh 229 my wife weioghs 210. I went Daytona back in October. I ran at 65 MPH. I got ab out 35 MPG. I havn't got that kind of mileage you mentioned since the bike was new.

    You are going to wish you had put those leveling links on alot sooner. I love the way my RSV handles now. I got mine for Allen and Patty @ diamondraccessories. they are great people to do business with

    Sounds like the battery. My 06 RSV was doing the same thing. I changed battery. That fioxed the problem. I would check the cables but I bet you will find it doies not remedy the problem. I dont know if you use a battery tender but that will help give you extra life out of your batttery. If that battery has been in since 07 you have gotten your moneys wpoth out of thaty battery. I have replace the battery twice in my 06

    Ok how do I test the wires. I have never done this before. I dont believe it is the driver remote because i got a new one from the dealer to try and it still did the same thing, I just took the blue wire apart no noise nothing. When I took the white plug apart and put it back together I here like a pop in the rear speakers thjat is all. I am willing to check those wires if you can tell me how.

    I ride two up all the time. We have rode to the Wall, Key West, and Daytona. We live in Ky. My wife is a bigger gal. She says it is just like riding on a car seat. The bike handles great. I replaced the leveling links in the back and made 100 percent difference at low speed . Like parking lots and slow moving traffic. I have rode GW there is a lot more room on the Venture or at least I think so

    Got the radio from Pinwall Cycle/. Still doing the samething. Sounds through the head set none through the speakers. I called the dealer back and they say it is a bad amp. Pinwall wants to say it has a broken wire somewhere on the bike. They say when it left thier place it worked. I have a complaint filed with ebay. I ask Pinwall to send another unit and they refuse. Want buy anything else from them. To me this is bad customer service.

    I will finally get to listen to some tunes again monday. Thanks to Don ( Freebird ). I got a used radio from Pinwall Cycles for $263 off a 2007 RSV. Sure will be nice to get the bike back together and ride again. Thanks again Don for telling me about this place. I will be getting some other stuff from them over the winter.

    If I have problems with a company more than once I do not ever order from them again. That is the best way to handle your business. Same way with a restuarant. If I go twice and get bad food or bad service I dont give them a third chance. Just my thoughts

    I agree with max air in the rear tire. I also agree with loooking where you want to. I have links I bought from Allen at diamondraccessories.com. I cant believe the difference that made in the handling of the bike. Even more so with the wife on the back.

    Sorry to hear your bike has damage. the bike can be replace or repair. Thank the Lord that you are ok and are here to tell about what happened. There is an old saying what goes around comes around. This guy will get his if he keeps driving like that

    I wear leather gloves with the brown jersey gloves inside them. I put the knee high hose that my wife throws away over top my socks. Dont laught it works. I do this when I go hunting also keeps my feet warm. I layer up then put my leather pants and jacket on over top of everything . I have rode in 20 degree weather and stayed warm. I ride my scooter year round. 2006 RSV. Has 56000 on it.

    When I feel that I should stay home I do or not go some where I dont. Sure glad you were not hurt. Maybe the old kid will stay off the scooter now. I bet someone has already told him to sell it. You be Blessed

    Dont give up your scooter yet. I quit riding in 1980. I had 3 close calls in about 2 weeks. I was 26 at the time. I felt if I did not sell the bike my two little boys might not grow up with a daddy. The day I sold it I regretted doing it. Then Aug 29 2005 I gave myself a new 2006 Venture as birthday present for my 51st birthday. It has been great. The best birthday present I ever received. Wish I had done this years sooner. SO THINK ABOUT HIS BEFORE YOU SALE YOUR RIDE. You dont want to regret sellling it. Glad you are ok. Even though I dont know you.

    Thaty is why I always have a certified person look at a car or bike I am buying. If there are issues the dealer or the person I am buying it from either fixes it or take that muc h off to cover the cost of getting iot fixed. If that does not happen I willl not buy.

    Well I would bet that someone had split the fairing. Probably some tech. I had my valves adjusted. Rode about 6 mile pulled in to get gas. I have oil dripping off the bike. The tech did not put the gaskets on right. How you can screw that up is beyond me. They took care of it. Si like I said some tech probably broke iot taking it apart or putting it back together would be my guess

    Why would you even tie a bike down????? They are made to ride not haul. The only time mine is hauled is when it is broke.

    Maybe the PO split the fairing. How well do you know the PO????? That makes sense that Yamaha would not warranty the broken tabs. When I bought my RSV The saddle bag had a blimish in it. I pointed it out the day I bought it. Picked it up and when I got home pulled it ion the garage. There was the blimish. So I contacted the dealer and told them the blimish was not removed with polish. They got Yamaha to replace.
