Condor, You are correct! Mine did that as well.! Your friend also has platinum seeds as well , that is what holds the treatment. He made a very smart choice. I had 83 days of high beam every morning! Still even have the tattoo's, 64 seeds and 8 gold seeds for the x-ray. Jeff

This is the the same thing that I have been working on as ONE of my winter projects, I took that entire part of the fairing and glassed it with fiberglass , expoys and JB weld (BOTH SIDES) and then re-drilled the holes. VERY VERY STRONG now. This will not happen again on this bike. has been that way for about a year now and got worse over time. I also did the ends (kinda like goose did but a little different) another Strong point repaired as well. I am thinking with the taller wind-screen (that this can happen a lot on our bikes) mine is a clearview extra tall, lots of pressure hitting and not much to hold it there. I think even if I had replaced my fairing, this would have happened again in time (My Opinion ONLY) EVERYBODY please check the area shown above when you have time please. The chrome strip covers all my repair work. I will tell you nothing will ever crack or break in that area again !!! I kind of went crazy with the fiberglass *lol* Should have taken pics and done a write-up. *oops* Jeff

Steve, are you getting that box that your showing as well from only from this site?
-
It just wont ask to load or save. (the box) coming up all the time for him. I agree that it is trying to load something from (THIS) site. almost like what happen to the other site. but not as bad. he also might have his security settings up WAY to high as well. dunno. another thing is that we all would be having this problem. If it is that bad his sytem has already been compromised. I agree he needs to be running a systems check asap and it probably is Malware.

The Two Bolts (Ignition) Question
Cougar replied to Cougar's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Mike, I will just bring it to your house this summer and you fix it. I buy food! In the mean time I just want to be able to remove the bolts in there now and make it so I can easily remove and replace. I have a 2 keys already for the spare ignition switch. -
The Two Bolts (Ignition) Question
Cougar replied to Cougar's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
How long is that bolt on each side guys? Mike , yes I have a spare spare ignition switch now. and what did you guys replace them with? what MM size? And another Question, why are you guys taking those bolts out as well? same idea? -
I know that the factory toque's the ignition bolts down and brakes them off at the factory if my thinking is correct. So my Question is how are some of you removing them. The only reason I want to do this and remove them and place a regaler bolts on there place is I have a spare and if one day I was stranded I could just replace it on the road and be on my way. any idea's or tricks that you folks have done to remove them? Is it a hard job? I guess worse case is I could pull tank back a bit and un-plug bad iggy and plug now on in leave it lay there .. under the tank. all I am doing is thinking ahead a little for long road trips. even have my spare fuel pump as well. Thanks! Jeff

Goose hit it right on the head, before I found the right size crush washer (champion) and the o-ring. my third step was using a nylon washer and copper gasket the combo stripped the threads on the brass adapter. THANK GOD! after removing I noticed that the nylon was destroyed and the copper gasket seemed to be OK. the combo made the install to tall and not enough threads to grip inside the head. I still have the 2 copper rings in my drawer for sutur use maybe on day I will test them with and with-out the rubber -o-ring. Jeff PS PONCH I sent A few more folks your way to order from you.
